Try talking to people without sticking a camera in their face, I think you'll notice the difference. At the end of the day it's not normal behavior, all things considered people are very tolerant of you.
Most of the differences in our way of life comes down to beliefs from religions, laws and regulations and history. People talk about culture but what actually is culture? Real Thailand is everywhere in Thailand.
I think it's a cool part of the culture. I like that when my girlfriend goes to the beach she doesn't wear a bikini and try to attract male attention. She wears loose shorts and t-shirt and just enjoys the beach and the water
Growing up in Southern California, I went to the beach often as a teenager during school breaks. Consequently, this caused my normally light skin to turn very dark brown, and during one summer, my mother took me to Thailand to visit relatives. Once in Thailand, all of my relatives and family friends kept commenting on how dark I was since my mother was a very fair-skinned Thai woman. Over and over again, my mother had to explain to everyone that I was indeed fair-skinned and I got dark from my daily trips to the beach during the summer school break. Besides, in the US, a nice tan is considered beautiful and healthy. It got very tiresome explaining my dark skin while in Thailand!
Dave, you make me smile & laugh, with some of the funny things you say 😂 'The Mrs has Harry decked out as if he's going scuba diving' had me in stitches 😅...thanks Dave
Hi Dave, Great Vlog again showing other the real Thailand & culture. I’ve been going to BangSaen since around 2000 and as you say very traditional Thai. There are a few local Farangs living there especially up near the top of the promenade, there one of the best seafood restaurants I think in the whole of Thailand near the round about over looking the water.just there last December with overseas friends just amazing food. If your looking for Condo with water views to buy drop me a line. Looking forward to returning in June/July. Keep up the great work Cheers Irish Paul
I like this videos much more than all that PTY Soi 6 crap today. I have a lot of respect for the authentic Thai Culture so much to learn very tolerant friendly people if you show respect to the Thai people they give you more back.
Well looking at the pollution in the background they're not getting clean fresh air, they're swimming in horrid looking water and their vitamin D levels are likely way too low.
The shy vendors might not have permits. lol. The beaches require permits. And I have been to that beach! I enjoyed it there. Not thronged with tourists. Just locals.
I don't know what this "Real Thailand" youtubers go on about is. It's all Thailand, and Bangsaen isn't any different to other places. There are loads of farang living there and they have mcdonalds, starbucks, KFC and everything else down the road from the beachfront you were on...
I like it and it makes a change when i see the Thais at the beach, my thai lady being one them, covered up or under umbrellas. I see many farang walking about showing there mcdonalds/beer bodies and its not nice to see.. Lets be truthful the Thais see the sun different than farang see it, as they experience the Sun nearly everyday . Most important is too much Sun is very bad for your body..as a farang I cover up more now than I ever did, only for a farang to comment "I have better Sun tan than you and I have only been in Thailand 2 weeks"😴. What farang need to respect the Most is that away from the beach area COVER UP, its disrespectful to Thai Buddist culture.
Aren't you too much agressive in your approach with the locals ? Wouldn't be a good idea to start with "Sawadee krap, kootood naa karap, pom kor tam arai khun noi dai mai ? " 🤔

Real Thailand is everywhere in Thailand.
Hi " Uncle Pred." ! Another " amazing" video ! I'm sure these good Thai people would be all the more happy if you weren't around.
It’s very similar to beaches in India, Indians also cover up to protect their already brown skin.
Thumbs up 👍 Dave
Cloth-Edd ? Do you mean clothed….?
My Thai girlfriend said they where clothes in the water to maintain the level of decency
*wear

Give them a break. It's their culture to want to be white skinned. Who are you to judge them?
True. People may think it's odd that westerners want to get tanned skin. Different people, cultures, and beliefs

'The Mrs has Harry decked out as if he's going scuba diving' had me in stitches 😅...thanks Dave
My pleasure, Tim 🙏
I live in Thailand and don’t want to experience the ‘real’ culture .
Absolutely shocking. After haven’t spent so much time in Pattaya, I wasn’t even aware that Thais lived in Thailand.😂

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ great beach love it great city to
Dave it's 50kms from Pattaya was just up there last week
Thais want good street food. Who am I to blame them? They are right, it's absolutely deliscious!
The point is, they want the clean, fresh air without the 'skin cancer.'
Well looking at the pollution in the background they're not getting clean fresh air, they're swimming in horrid looking water and their vitamin D levels are likely way too low.
Vitamin D deficiency is a big problem in Thailand.
My comment about where's their clean fresh got deleted....of course no one likes the truth these days!
Where is the fresh air 😂
The shy vendors might not have permits. lol. The beaches require permits. And I have been to that beach! I enjoyed it there. Not thronged with tourists. Just locals.
Scared out of their wits of going dark! I'll have to remember this line!

Evrything in Thailand is real , it's bollocks all this 'real Thai ' nonsense, I think by real you mean no farangs
I think he made that very clear.
Aren't you too much agressive in your approach with the locals ? Wouldn't be a good idea to start with "Sawadee krap, kootood naa karap, pom kor tam arai khun noi dai mai ? " 🤔
So what? Its their business if they dont want to get dark.
Dave down pass Mc Donalds there's plenty of bars restaurant's and hotels but l do agree there's 99% Thai's on the beach and all covered up
Coffee for you
There is a McDonald's there?
in terms of the real thailand, where do you get real big spiders, and have you seen many, in pattaya or bangkok
The water looks uninspiring, as in unclean.
Very informative video
by the view of things climate change changed decisions it's fun in the sun are you strapped for songkran 🌊🔫✊🙈
Do Thai women have bad breath?
