I'm with you Tone... Happy for the fans who are buying the big box, but perfectly content to get one of the more affordable options. I'll probably end up getting the CD/Blu-ray set and skipping the vinyl this time around.

Thanks for the update Tone! I think there may be a disconnect on the Mind Games Ultimate Super Deluxe box set price. The price in dollars is $1350, so I hope they aren't actually asking 1350 quid, since that converts to over $1700 dollars! I mean $1350 is completely outrageous in my mind and I won't be putting my cash down. I would rather spend the cash on a butcher cover or the like. Besides all that ephemera is trash to me, of absolutely NO use tbh. I will probably spring for the Standard Deluxe box (6 cds etc) and possibly the 2 lp & 2 cd versions. I like you dis not get the ATMP super deluxe box, even though now the price they were asking seems to be a steal. Anyway cheers mate!
No that price is right Richard £1350. Everything is always cheaper in the US - it's really not right - I hadn't worked out that the difference was that much though - wow. Tbh id rather have that box set than a butchers sleeve but each to their own. Enjoy your swag when it arrives

JohnandYoko this JohnandYoko that, I wonder if there will be any acknowledgement that they were not getting along while making this album and in fact broke up before it was finished? Or will Sean continue to rewrite history the way Yoko always did. And what will they do with walls and bridges and rock and roll? Will they acknowledge May Pang? Will they remove her voice from #9 dream and replace with yokos and again portent she was involved?
Why do you care about this stuff? Nobody is re-writing history - a popular phrase that rarely holds any water. Everybody knows the story but what was going on in John & Yoko's lives should be documented in the big standalone book because that is the correct place for it . you're complaining about something that you dont even know exists . Read the book first and complain when you spot which moment of history has been re-written Joe

Will probably win a Grammy for Sean and Yoko, etc. Anyway, I'm so excited to hear all the interations and new mixes. The teasers in the promo video sound really good to me!

If I can’t get more than one super deluxe set than I’m just going for the cd not as super deluxe set. I’m not angry about the super deluxe. There will always be items for sale that rich people don’t have to give a second thought to and the middle class have to weigh considerably assuming they can even afford it. Like the pervious sets this one sounds great and I’m glad they’re still including Blu-Rays. No surrounding singles from the period unlike with POB and Imagine. And I guess one thing we aren’t getting with the Lennon sets that we are with Paul’s is unreleased songs or demos of songs that were never officially released. Not that there aren’t plenty of other places to get those. Still, a lot of material and I’m looking forward to hearing it as well as your review of it.
Yes there are no non-albums singles around this time like we had with the previous 2 Ultimate Mixes sets so this set strictly concentrates just on the album songs , It's a shame Rock n Roll People wasnt included on the outtakes disc. I wont be rushing my review out like you will find with other channels trying to get the views Michael. I like to review things properly and that requires several plays to give an honest review but review it , I will.
Another fantastic podcast!! I can tell the excitement in your review and I am the same as this is one of my favorite John Lennon albums. I would love the Ultimate Collection but alas unless I win on the lottery it will remain a dream. I am going to try and get the Super Deluxe Collection but the will be a bit later on when I can afford it. So for now I will will be getting the Deluxe Collection first. Hello mate. Well this is the one I have been waiting for and it hasn’t disappointed. It would be easy to be cynical but I actually think the super Uber box looks amazing. That said, I won’t be buying it. Mind Games is my sentimental favourite JL album - and gee I was tempted at 5am this morning, still half asleep - but $2500 Aussie dollars is just too big a stretch I’m afraid. The deluxe cd and 2LP sets (and previously ordered book) will be more than adequate. And let’s not forget it’s only May, the year is far from over and I fully expect the bank balance to take a couple more hits before Christmas. Take care mate.

I must admit I think this is such a beautiful package , I would love to own one but I cannot justify the cost as most of the stuff is ' nice to have' but not essential . The music is essential and we can get all that on the 6CD version that ive ordered. if that is too much money, it can be streamed so at least the music is available to everyone in one format or another. Im not sure this gets over the line if John was still alive but who can tell how the 83 year old Lennon would be thinking? The Super Deluxe box was limited to 1 per person in the Uk but in the US 4 per person so we can expect the US market to be swamped by flippers making a fast buck post release which is disappointing. All the tracks on the Ep are on every variant of the Mind Games Ultimate mixes except Im the Greatest which was part of the Ringo sessions rather than the mind Games sessions so I wasnt expecting it be included but other 3 tracks are there even on the 2 CD version. Ive heard rumours that there are hidden tracks not listed on the box included but no confirmation of this yet

SDE have now posted descriptions of all of the material and packages being offered, including the difference between elemental and elements mixes, on their website. Like you, I hope that everyone enjoys whatever version they go for. It's a pity that we always have to repeat it but it is their/our money and we/they are not being forced to buy anything at all. For me it will just be the 2 LP set if you're keeping a log😁. Bring on the Lucie!!

It is interesting that the super deluxe box set of mine games is only a limited edition which is such a shame. If I had all the money like $5000 or more I would definitely buy the super deluxe box set but I might get the nine I’ll keep that in the CDs that I can’t wait to hear how long this song actually sound especially on songs like I know mine games out of the blue one of John Lennon‘s best songs and you are here. I love the mind games evolution documentary I think it’s fantastic I was listening to it on RUclips and watching it this morning and when I heard the songs that were sampled a one minute video where you can pre-order mine games I thought to myself wow it sounds so clear the instruments and all the vocals sound absolutely clear you can hear everything I love that.Mine games is one of my favorite songs by John Lennon it’s a real good song a classic song.
Hello Tone, Yesterday when you were on with Joe Mayo, you said that the Mind Games deluxe cube was sold out. I saw that too, but then, some hours later, it became available again, as it is now. I’m guessing that some people may have jumped the gun and quickly ordered the set when it was first announced; but then had second thoughts about it, and cancelled their orders. This could be the reason why some sets are available again. I suppose this is to be expected with any product that is limited and very expensive. People think twice about their purchase when they realize that they may not be able to afford their rent or mortgage payment.
Yes sold out in America but still available in the UK. Are you saying there are more available in the US now? The reason you state could be true for sure . I guess it's also possible that they have made some of the Uk stock available in the US. Interesting - thanks for the info
@@beatleytonesbeatleschannel Yes, they are still available as of 10:00 am ET in the States. They only showed as out of stock for a very short time; then they reappeared. I recall that a similar thing happened in 2019 with the McCartney Egypt Station suitcase.
Probably downloads or streaming, and then buying the standalone book when it goes on sale for me. I don't know, there seems to be fewer demos and outtakes than on the previous sets. I know I have more on boot Mind Games releases. A bit strange.
Thanks Tone. Have been digesting this today, but it was nice to have someone read it out. You also had some extra detail that I had not caught. So yes, the Superdeluxe set is nonsense, but at least we will not really miss out on much in reality. It is a gimmicky art piece and I get that. It feels like this should have been done for POB rather than Mind Games but, no problem. Easy pass for me (and I did go for the Harrison Uber box!). I don't actually regret that, but I was never going to make a habit of those sets! I will be going for the deluxe set like yourself. Music-wise it feels a little slimmer than the previous two sets, but rumour suggests a few hidden extras. The evolution mix video of Mind Games that has been released is good so I am hopeful for a nice set of mixes. Not quite as many outtakes as before but I have been happy to date so am happy to go with the choices. Will be getting the big coffee table book too like the previous sets.

Yes I had the same thought - that it was strange to do the super deluxe version for this album and not either POB or Imagine which are much more popular albums. But no extra musical content so it's a fun purchase for those who can afford it. Yes Ive heard about the hidden tracks but seen no evidence of their existence anywhere. Nice video Tone. Listened to Craig Charles BBC 6 broadcast today. Went for 6 cd and 2 bluray. Nice artwork, disc art is nice...won't sit on the shelf along side imagine, plastic ono and gimme some truth boxsets on rhe shelf as they have gone with the cube look. I do understand that it is based on yoko concept work at the time? The uber set who is that aimed at?

The way I understand it is the cube is only the Super Deluxe set (the expensive one) the Deluxe set that you (and I) have gone for will be a 10" box just like Imagine and POB and GMST so we should be ok shelf-wise. The uber set is aimed at rich collectors that have nothing better to spend their money on

I'd never touch those super duper box sets at silly prices, even if I could afford it, me being only a humble NHS worker. I'm only really interested in the musical content, that and the book will do me. One question, though I might've missed it, but are the tracks and takes that are on the RSD EP included in this set? As that EP is still getting lot's of play on my turntable as I'm still really enjoying it. I will probably go for the 2 LP and 2CD sets at some point, purely for completist reasons. But I'm happy with what's been announced, so will be placing my order in the coming days....
Hi Terry, i never consider anybody who works for the NHS in whatever capacity to just because humble worker - youre role is vital. However the asking price is ridiculous and its beibg sold in the US for $1350 meaning the sterling price should be £1065 so yet again we Brits are the poor relations getting ripped off. Luckily the normal deluxe box set has all the musical content so thats all we need. Regarding your question everything on the ep except Im the Greatest is in the box set . I wasn’t expecting it to be in there because its from the Ringo sessions not the Mind Games sessions but ive heard rumours that there are some easter eggs included- hidden tracks so we will have to wait and see if this is true and if so what those tracks are. We have so much to look forward to right now, what with One Hand Clapping, The Mind Games releases and hopefully the newly restored Let It Be movie on Blu-ray/DVD. Got to see the movie over at a mates house last Saturday evening. PJ has done a fantastic job, but I must say that I love Let It Be, but I actually prefer Get Back. Let It Be seemed to just fly by in it's 80 or so minutes, whereas Get Back over three two hour parts gave a more rounded story to this project and I got to relax and really take in and enjoy all of this fascinating footage.

3 cover album at the bottom i totally agree with. In that light you surprised met with Give My Regards bc it’s Paul covering himself. I think McCartney 1 and 2 are way better than 3. 3 ranks near the bottom for me and for 2 I find the instrumentals are annoying af. It the rest of it is is really really good stuff. I also agree with your assessment of Wildlife the songs have a habit of going on to long. He could have skipped roughly the last two minutes of each song. Hi Tone there seems to be a huge price gap between some of the UK online retailers for the 6 CD/BluRay set. The official store, HMV and Rough Trade have it at £130 but Amazon and Badlands have it at £170. Amazon price may fall but Badlands won't (payment taken at time of order). In any case this is a massive hike from £61 in 2018 for Imagine and £85 in 2021 for POB, both of which were iconic albums in the Lennon canon. Arguably Mind Games isn't, but if we don't buy it they may stop the series as they seemed to when the Flaming Pie big set didn't sell. What to do?
I suppose its bot unreasonable to expect prices to have risen from 3 years ago Richard but its quite a hike. If anything i think POB may have been underpriced or at worse represented great value for money . I cant see Badlands selling too many copies at that price . Like you Amazon’s price should drop begore release date. I tjink its one of those bite your lip and bite the bullet as like you say we dont want the series to end

This is all very well and good, but when you read interviews from 1973, John is not exactly effusive about this album. I'd be much more excited about Walls and Bridges.
The big box is a big price but plenty of stuff in it to enjoy for those who can afford such luxury. Good luck to them i say, im not a jealous guy.. well not much. Always good to keep a handle on what Imagine no possessions actually means ie … just imagine it
I disagree with your take about Mind Games “uber” having much more content than ATMP. I bought the George crate and am happy with it because of the art museum quality scrapbook (with bookmark from Friar Park tree) and Klaus poster, beads and gnomes. Also, Dhani included 5 lps of unreleased stuff. Mind Games is mainly 12 songs duplicated six times. Also like the ATMP crate itself. Not crazy about Mind Games cube. Seems like it would be like a puzzle re-assembling it to close up after usage, lol! But I’ll get standard deluxe set!
Funny I also thought it would be an ordeal to put back together. You'd have to bookmark the Lennon Estate video that they released yesterday showing how it all fits together as a reference. The main thing is you are happy with the ATMP Uber box that is the only thing that matters , not what I or anybody else things of it. As far as the musical content goes one could argue that the unreleased material included was available on bootlegs and some officially released before, whereas the Mind Games set, although the same 12 songs, 60 of these tracks have NEVER been heard before now. The Amazon price will almost certainly go down to 130 by release date which is the price you pay even if you pre-order now but yes a price hike since 2021 POB was £85 on release. Maybe it was underpriced? Sadly i dont have anywhere near enough subs to get any freebies from the Lennon Estate - maybe one day haha 😛
It will be limited but not to a particularly low number. They havent said how many but i would say everyone who wants one shouldnt have too much trouble getting one. Imagine and POB deluxe box sets are still available to buy on sites like Amazon. Hope that helps Martin

He claims The Beatles didn't write any of their own material until after 1966 and that it was only session musicians that played on the albums. Would love to know your thoughts.

No the extras doesnt make the album any better but I dont begrudge anyone who can afford this package - I would love it . Some of it is very much worth having , from a collectors point of view , some of it gimmicky nonsense , Ive always got Yoko's art especially the humour in it. Went to see her show at the Tate modern in London a few weeks ago and through it was a great way to spend a couple of hours.

@@edwardrussell5989I believe that this package was inspired by the ATMP Uber Box. Sean liked what Dhani did for that as wanted something similar for the next Ultimate mix release . The price is too high but the productions costs must be huge . We wanted something that would be talked about and create interest in release and that is what it has done as this seems to be the only thing that people are talking about atm. Artwork is expensive we know and the design of this is fantastic - how all the pieces ft together in the cube although I would imagine it will be a right ordeal getting stuff out and putting it back every time so lets be thankful we dont have to put ourselves though that. I saw the Yoko exhibition at the Tate a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it - good way to spend a couple of hours so enjoy it when you go

Thanks for the update Tone! I think there may be a disconnect on the Mind Games Ultimate Super Deluxe box set price. The price in dollars is $1350, so I hope they aren't actually asking 1350 quid, since that converts to over $1700 dollars! I mean $1350 is completely outrageous in my mind and I won't be putting my cash down. I would rather spend the cash on a butcher cover or the like. Besides all that ephemera is trash to me, of absolutely NO use tbh. I will probably spring for the Standard Deluxe box (6 cds etc) and possibly the 2 lp & 2 cd versions. Why do you care about this stuff? Nobody is re-writing history - a popular phrase that rarely holds any water. If I can’t get more than one super deluxe set than I’m just going for the cd not as super deluxe set. I’m not angry about the super deluxe. There will always be items for sale that rich people don’t have to give a second thought to and the middle class have to weigh considerably assuming they can even afford it. Like the pervious sets this one sounds great and I’m glad they’re still including Blu-Rays. No surrounding singles from the period unlike with POB and Imagine. And I guess one thing we aren’t getting with the Lennon sets that we are with Paul’s is unreleased songs or demos of songs that were never officially released. Not that there aren’t plenty of other places to get those. Still, a lot of material and I’m looking forward to hearing it as well as your review of it.
Yes there are no non-albums singles around this time like we had with the previous 2 Ultimate Mixes sets so this set strictly concentrates just on the album songs , It's a shame Rock n Roll People wasnt included on the outtakes disc. I wont be rushing my review out like you will find with other channels trying to get the views Michael. I like to review things properly and that requires several plays to give an honest review but review it , I will.

Hello mate. Well this is the one I have been waiting for and it hasn’t disappointed. It would be easy to be cynical but I actually think the super Uber box looks amazing. That said, I won’t be buying it. Mind Games is my sentimental favourite JL album - and gee I was tempted at 5am this morning, still half asleep - but $2500 Aussie dollars is just too big a stretch I’m afraid. The deluxe cd and 2LP sets (and previously ordered book) will be more than adequate.
And let’s not forget it’s only May, the year is far from over and I fully expect the bank balance to take a couple more hits before Christmas.

I have one question that really sums up this whole 'Super Duper, Party Pooper, Ultimate Deluxe, Fan-dabbie Dozie, Extravaganza, Box Set .Or whatever it's called? Would John, being the "Working Class Hero" he was acclaimed to be, approve of that essentially one of his records selling now for almost 1/2 the price of a house at the time his parents were together?? Which granted was a short time! Or would he call it the highest form of exploitation, and fleecing his fandom? You have to make up your own mind. I am disappointed that Sean has agreed to this.Not sure if his mother, if according to reports, still had all her faculties, would?
Personally.I have no love for Universal. Especially after the manner they destroyed so many precious artists recordings in that fire, and pretty much absolved themselves of the blame.Despicable.

I must admit I think this is such a beautiful package , I would love to own one but I cannot justify the cost as most of the stuff is ' nice to have' but not essential . The music is essential and we can get all that on the 6CD version that ive ordered. if that is too much money, it can be streamed so at least the music is available to everyone in one format or another. Im not sure this gets over the line if John was still alive but who can tell how the 83 year old Lennon would be thinking?
The Super Deluxe box was limited to 1 per person in the Uk but in the US 4 per person so we can expect the US market to be swamped by flippers making a fast buck post release which is disappointing.
All the tracks on the Ep are on every variant of the Mind Games Ultimate mixes except Im the Greatest which was part of the Ringo sessions rather than the mind Games sessions so I wasnt expecting it be included but other 3 tracks are there even on the 2 CD version. Ive heard rumours that there are hidden tracks not listed on the box included but no confirmation of this yet

It is interesting that the super deluxe box set of mine games is only a limited edition which is such a shame. If I had all the money like $5000 or more I would definitely buy the super deluxe box set but I might get the nine I’ll keep that in the CDs that I can’t wait to hear how long this song actually sound especially on songs like I know mine games out of the blue one of John Lennon‘s best songs and you are here. I love the mind games evolution documentary I think it’s fantastic I was listening to it on RUclips and watching it this morning and when I heard the songs that were sampled a one minute video where you can pre-order mine games I thought to myself wow it sounds so clear the instruments and all the vocals sound absolutely clear you can hear everything I love that.Mine games is one of my favorite songs by John Lennon it’s a real good song a classic song.

Yesterday when you were on with Joe Mayo, you said that the Mind Games deluxe cube was sold out.
I saw that too, but then, some hours later, it became available again, as it is now.
I’m guessing that some people may have jumped the gun and quickly ordered the set when it was first announced; but then had second thoughts about it, and cancelled their orders. This could be the reason why some sets are available again. I suppose this is to be expected with any product that is limited and very expensive. People think twice about their purchase when they realize that they may not be able to afford their rent or mortgage payment.
Yes sold out in America but still available in the UK. Are you saying there are more available in the US now? The reason you state could be true for sure . I guess it's also possible that they have made some of the Uk stock available in the US. Interesting - thanks for the info
@@beatleytonesbeatleschannel Yes, they are still available as of 10:00 am ET in the States. They only showed as out of stock for a very short time; then they reappeared. I recall that a similar thing happened in 2019 with the McCartney Egypt Station suitcase.

Probably downloads or streaming, and then buying the standalone book when it goes on sale for me. I don't know, there seems to be fewer demos and outtakes than on the previous sets. I know I have more on boot Mind Games releases. A bit strange.
I guess the other ultimate mixes have had more because they had non-album singles and b sides tagged on. There wasnt any non album singles in 1973.

So yes, the Superdeluxe set is nonsense, but at least we will not really miss out on much in reality. It is a gimmicky art piece and I get that. It feels like this should have been done for POB rather than Mind Games but, no problem. Easy pass for me (and I did go for the Harrison Uber box!). I don't actually regret that, but I was never going to make a habit of those sets!
I will be going for the deluxe set like yourself. Music-wise it feels a little slimmer than the previous two sets, but rumour suggests a few hidden extras. The evolution mix video of Mind Games that has been released is good so I am hopeful for a nice set of mixes. Not quite as many outtakes as before but I have been happy to date so am happy to go with the choices.
Will be getting the big coffee table book too like the previous sets.

Nice artwork, disc art is nice...won't sit on the shelf along side imagine, plastic ono and gimme some truth boxsets on rhe shelf as they have gone with the cube look. The way I understand it is the cube is only the Super Deluxe set (the expensive one) the Deluxe set that you (and I) have gone for will be a 10" box just like Imagine and POB and GMST so we should be ok shelf-wise. Hi Tone, hope you are keeping well my friend. I think I'll be going for the 6 CD box, at £130 that's not bad going at all. I'd never touch those super duper box sets at silly prices, even if I could afford it, me being only a humble NHS worker. I'm only really interested in the musical content, that and the book will do me. One question, though I might've missed it, but are the tracks and takes that are on the RSD EP included in this set? As that EP is still getting lot's of play on my turntable as I'm still really enjoying it. I will probably go for the 2 LP and 2CD sets at some point, purely for completist reasons. But I'm happy with what's been announced, so will be placing my order in the coming days....
Hi Terry, i never consider anybody who works for the NHS in whatever capacity to just because humble worker - youre role is vital. However the asking price is ridiculous and its beibg sold in the US for $1350 meaning the sterling price should be £1065 so yet again we Brits are the poor relations getting ripped off. We have so much to look forward to right now, what with One Hand Clapping, The Mind Games releases and hopefully the newly restored Let It Be movie on Blu-ray/DVD. Got to see the movie over at a mates house last Saturday evening. PJ has done a fantastic job, but I must say that I love Let It Be, but I actually prefer Get Back. Let It Be seemed to just fly by in it's 80 or so minutes, whereas Get Back over three two hour parts gave a more rounded story to this project and I got to relax and really take in and enjoy all of this fascinating footage.

3 cover album at the bottom i totally agree with. In that light you surprised met with Give My Regards bc it’s Paul covering himself. I think McCartney 1 and 2 are way better than 3. 3 ranks near the bottom for me and for 2 I find the instrumentals are annoying af. It the rest of it is is really really good stuff. I also agree with your assessment of Wildlife the songs have a habit of going on to long. He could have skipped roughly the last two minutes of each song. Bc of that it’s hard to enjoy this album.

Hi Tone there seems to be a huge price gap between some of the UK online retailers for the 6 CD/BluRay set. The official store, HMV and Rough Trade have it at £130 but Amazon and Badlands have it at £170. Amazon price may fall but Badlands won't (payment taken at time of order). In any case this is a massive hike from £61 in 2018 for Imagine and £85 in 2021 for POB, both of which were iconic albums in the Lennon canon. Arguably Mind Games isn't, but if we don't buy it they may stop the series as they seemed to when the Flaming Pie big set didn't sell. What to do?
I suppose its bot unreasonable to expect prices to have risen from 3 years ago Richard but its quite a hike. If anything i think POB may have been underpriced or at worse represented great value for money . I cant see Badlands selling too many copies at that price . Like you Amazon’s price should drop begore release date. I tjink its one of those bite your lip and bite the bullet as like you say we dont want the series to end

I've also been talking to Badlands today and pointed out that they were now £40 more than anyone else for this, and they have now cut their price to £134.99 including postage as a result. I disagree with your take about Mind Games “uber” having much more content than ATMP. I bought the George crate and am happy with it because of the art museum quality scrapbook (with bookmark from Friar Park tree) and Klaus poster, beads and gnomes.
Also, Dhani included 5 lps of unreleased stuff. Mind Games is mainly 12 songs duplicated six times.
Also like the ATMP crate itself. Not crazy about Mind Games cube. Seems like it would be like a puzzle re-assembling it to close up after usage, lol! But I’ll get standard deluxe set!
Funny I also thought it would be an ordeal to put back together. You'd have to bookmark the Lennon Estate video that they released yesterday showing how it all fits together as a reference. The main thing is you are happy with the ATMP Uber box that is the only thing that matters , not what I or anybody else things of it. As far as the musical content goes one could argue that the unreleased material included was available on bootlegs and some officially released before, whereas the Mind Games set, although the same 12 songs, 60 of these tracks have NEVER been heard before now. Big price jump from previous sets - doubled up at £130 - amazon U.K. at £170 is triple the cost of the previous ones I brought - I’m waiting on a sale for this - the album is definitely lower tier Lennon - I re listened to it this week and it’s got two belters , two good and the rest is weak imo . The Amazon price will almost certainly go down to 130 by release date which is the price you pay even if you pre-order now but yes a price hike since 2021 POB was £85 on release. Maybe it was underpriced? Sadly i dont have anywhere near enough subs to get any freebies from the Lennon Estate - maybe one day haha 😛

It will be limited but not to a particularly low number. They havent said how many but i would say everyone who wants one shouldnt have too much trouble getting one. Imagine and POB deluxe box sets are still available to buy on sites like Amazon. Hope that helps Martin

Hi. I know this is off topic but are you aware of the Mike Williams Sage of Quay RUclips channel? Ive dipped in and out of it a little bit just recently and it's absolutely preposterous! He claims The Beatles didn't write any of their own material until after 1966 and that it was only session musicians that played on the albums. Would love to know your thoughts.

Can’t believe the Lennon’s and their pricing. Six cds with basically the same songs which are nothing special. the price of the big box with all the tat is rubbish. The big box is being denied to most fans. So sad our working class hero’s estate has sunk so low
As Ive said before Edward you are always a hard man to please. The thing is they have created a premium collectors item that although you are not impressed fans who have to have absolutely everything will leap at this (I heard there was only 50 left as at midnight this morning). Im just surprised that they have made all this fuss for this album and not Imagine or POB.

No the extras doesnt make the album any better but I dont begrudge anyone who can afford this package - I would love it . Some of it is very much worth having , from a collectors point of view , some of it gimmicky nonsense , Ive always got Yoko's art especially the humour in it. Went to see her show at the Tate modern in London a few weeks ago and through it was a great way to spend a couple of hours.

@@edwardrussell5989I believe that this package was inspired by the ATMP Uber Box. Sean liked what Dhani did for that as wanted something similar for the next Ultimate mix release . The price is too high but the productions costs must be huge . We wanted something that would be talked about and create interest in release and that is what it has done as this seems to be the only thing that people are talking about atm. Artwork is expensive we know and the design of this is fantastic - how all the pieces ft together in the cube although I would imagine it will be a right ordeal getting stuff out and putting it back every time so lets be thankful we dont have to put ourselves though that. I saw the Yoko exhibition at the Tate a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it - good way to spend a couple of hours so enjoy it when you go
My biggest problem with this is that apart from the title track it is a very bad album.
I disagree Thomas. It's far from his best work but I would say there are some great. moments on it 7/10 for me
