@@geert574 it's the approach. First playthrough? Play like a normal game, progress the story like a normal game. Later playthroughs? Throwblasts and straight to bbi.
The overworld really is beautiful to the point where I put off killing Grigori to avoid ruining the weather. Hopefully we get a similar environment in the sequel
Watching these let’s plays feel like I’m tuning in to a nature documentary with you fulfilling the part of a wilderness explorer, except it’s all Dragon’s Dogma. Very exciting haha
part 3 this soon 😩 editing to add that despite being the fastest basic attack, the jumping light feels the weightiest because it actually affects your momentum and movement. I love using it to bridge gaps.
I just have to say, I love your videos. You have been so so so helpful with all the little tips and tricks, plus your funny as hell. I love this game and always find myself coming back to it. I'll leave you with a couple tips of my own: 1. When doing the barrel glitch. You do not have to adjust your camera in any way. Also, there is a sound queue for when you can jump through the wall. It sounds like a barrel being dropped. That way, you don't have to smash the jump button and guess when you're good to go. 2. Yes! The warrior's light attack in the air is an awesome way to extend your jump distance and is great for dodging/repositioning as well. That's all I have for you so far. All you've done for us obviously outweighs the tips I gave, but thank you for what you do. May bonk lord have ALL the kingwarish in the land!
Part 3 a blessing from the (Bonk) Lord! Btw in 10:10 near the golem you can access the roof with bandits, from there you can drop without jumping to that chest
I love your Dragon's Dogma videos i finish the game few months ago and see a bonk lord break the shit out of the game is cool. Keep going you are a legend !
Been playing the crap out of DD:DA since DD2 was announced and your videos are exactly what I need for the times I don't play. Especially since I don't really like to play Warrior that much myself. Please don't hate me
Pretty sure you all new this but: Fun fact you can kill grigori after he chases you and he gets stuck, you may need a Lil bit of preparation but a min max strength character with the best longbow blast arrows a few periapts and you should be golden
A small tip for the fournival quest. Reynard (most often seen at the great wall encampment) sells forged thingies that allow you to decide whether fournival loses or not. Since the fournival quest has been known to be notoriously buggy at times, I always just buy that from Reynard and ensure it.
Honestly, even though I see a lot of people grumble about that ox cart escort, it's a great mission to introduce new arisen to different enemies, environmental stuff, ambushes, amazing vistas, and the escortees aren't just obnoxiously hapless either. Of course on repeat playthroughs it can be a bit of a slog but you can speed it up considerably. It's well designed all around.
The ox quest is my favourite quest in the game. Almost every other quest has devolved into skip through dialogue and beeline to markers, but the ox quest keeps my attention.
the population of gransys: catbird: bonked rock roc: bonked malfunctioning corpses: bonked zealot: bonked [by greg] greg: bonked gransys: hella bonked pretty solid progression for the Lord of Bonk
Fournival, my one and only love... As far as the game is concerned at least. Seriously, I can't be the only one who didn't notice the affection system, until the end of the first playthrough.
8:14 a way to kill the goblin chief consistently that i found, was to stagger him, pick him up (if you're a large enough character), carry him to the balcony that has the ballistas and the armored cyclops (throw him and pick him back up as necessary on the way to the balcony), and then chuck him off of it, for whatever reason the fall damage kills him and does not trigger the "stupid human" retreat cutscene and instantly wins the encounter for you
I like how if your damage output is really powerful (e.g strider with brain splitter and periapts) you can kill Greg the dragon before even getting to his actual arena
The fuckin… the fuckin DIVE AFTER THROWING ROOK. WHAT THE FUUU hahahahah hu hu Hu Hu hu* IM WEEZING RIGHT NOW I FORGOT ABOUT THIS LETS PLAY BLESS THE ALGORITHM FOR BRINGING TO ME.
Honestly the best choice for Beloved is Fournival. I don't care if he's a scumbag, he sells infinite periapts and waiting minutes for him to leave his house in postgame is too much of a pain.
Love the content, though I think it would have been fun to see you actually play through the game with comments rather than only see pieces of it. Still very much enjoyed the video, just a suggestion
when I last played this a few months ago I accidentally killed grigori in the tunnel section and skipped the rest, forgetting to get the free dragonforges.. oops
Would you do something similar for Kongdoms of Amalur? Its a big game, i know, but the story isnt that long, its just that there are a thousand and one side quest in every damn region. I reach Plains of Erathel after like 50+ hours and Klurikon after a 100+ because of all the side quests
Lost a post dragon save recently, presumably because some mod fucked up. When I get over the loss of the save, I’ll probably speed run the quests. I wanna do Monster Hunter without playing Monster Hunter, if that makes sense.
I think dragon's dogma is one of the games that change the most on how you approach a fresh playthrough. Depending on how experienced you are.

This was amazing loved the little edits and
Mercedes coming back to save the team was hysterical thanks for the video one of my favorites.
I did not know you could kick the bull to speed up the escort mission. Everytime I just... Walked. Well now I feel foolish.
The GTA dialog for Grigori lmao

I wasnt expecting you to throw Rook at a harpy

I’m 6 months late, but I wanna give a particular shoutout to the Skylanders music you used. Haven’t heard it in years and it gave me a big dumb grin

12:47 reminds me of something Berserk related for some reason.
Funny, if not for the original Dragon's Dogma I would never have discovered Berserk.
I mean Dragons Dogma started out as a berserk game
The paladin’s mantle is a participation trophy

man I love this game to bits, every time you post a video I feel like replaying the whole thing but work's a bitch haha
There was one time when I was replaying this game for the millionth time the goblin boss jumped out the window then smacked the wall and died
RIP Captain Kenpachi Zaraki. It's all i can hear when Grigori speaks.

Can also bait him out the doors through into the hallway right in front of the area. It only triggers in that one room.
This time on a completely normal Dragons Dogma playthrough part 3.
Start and finish legitimately the entire main quest.
