I really wish Lost Planet gets another entry closer to what Lost Planet 2 was NOT 1 or 3. One of the most captivating and addictive co op games I've ever played
This feels like it’s going to give me Elden Ring levels of awe and engrossment with its open world. No map markers, no checklists, no typical open world slop. @1rickslater they are very fun games, some of my favorites, but now after the passing of Christopher Tolkien, I think it best and most respectful to no longer expand or adapt Tolkien's works any further. Keep all as it is, they are already timeless and should be honored as they remain.

2 changes needed is a more streamline crafting system and fast travel after location discovery. i both agree and disagree with Director Itsuno's sentiment about having fast travel. In the 1st Dogma, you do get some fun random encounters occasionally, tho it can be boring to traverse everywhere if you have to repeat the same path 7X+ since the encounters are the same every time. Fast travel is necessary after you've been thru an area 3x+.
A friend rented the first on gamefly back in the day and let me borrow it. It was an experience. It was long before the eternal ferrystones. Great game and I'm sure the sequel will be even greater.
I played the first game on release and it quickly became one of my top 3 favorite games of all time. I am SO ready to spend years playing dogma 2, it looks like the developers had full reign & time to do as much as they wanted this time around🙏 *btw this was a really great video, your love of the game really comes through
I wish more devs would keep their games under wraps for as long as they did. There were some rumours here and there, but nothing concrete until the official announcement. I'm so sick seeing announcements 2+ years before the projected release of a game.
I loved Dragon's Dogma 1, and then there was DD online, but I never saw anyone playing it - I think it was restricted in the EU. Plus there was something wrong about it. I am hyped for DD2. I'm glad this time it gets much more attention.
I bought the Digital Deluxe Edition for Xbox afew weeks ago, also the other big game releasing same day is Rise of the Ronin. I purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition of that game aswell for PS5
I am stoked. I couldn't quite get into the jank of the first but loved the premise. This looks like a modernization that I am going to sink my life into. Also, re: armor I just watched a video that clarified the reduction in slots. It sounds good. Also. Surely you were a fan of Outward? Psyched about that sequel too.
My character creator creatiosn: In advertenly made Guts, and then purposfully made Dark Schneider (Darshe)...you can even have the Moniker Darshe in the creation page. Fully planning on a either a Sorcerer, Mystic Spearhand, or Warfarer using Sorcerer staff for a Dark Schneider build.
Elden Ring did a great job of shaking up open world design. It was....just explore...and see what you find. No checklists, no quest markers..just pure exploration. First game in years where I made notes with pen and paper.
Idk, was hoping they'd release an actual demo on PS5 so I could see if the framerate bothered me or not, this is now a wait and see for me cause a uncapped 30 fps is very concerning.
That isn’t what uncapped means. There isn’t going to be a cap at 60 or 30. So you’ll be jumping from 120 frames down to 30 or lower for certain areas or during certain fights.
@@anonymityisfantastic9305 Yes I know what uncapped means, every article and every preview says that it has an uncapped framerate but the target is 30 fps on PS5. Every single preview of the game on PS5 has claimed that the game hits around a max framerate of 31 and drops into the 20s during heavy combat segments.
Just worry it won’t get mass appeal because if the story and the lack of fast travel. Maybe they fleshed out the story, and I hope they did, but Everyone should try this game! And the Pawn system is amazing.
My brother has been telling me to play the first for years and I kept putting it off but I got around to playing in on my Steam Deck and it was such a fun experience and perfect for the Deck. Shortly after beating it and having similar thoughts about them never giving us a sequel they released the announcement trailer for the second. Super hyped. 😁

I feel like im buying 2 games each month back to back. FFVII Rebirth, Granblue Relink last month, this month Dragon Dogma 2, Rise of the Ronin. Next Month Stellar Blade and Sandlands (Akira Toriyama last game work).
If this were a multi-player game, I wouldn't be getting it. This is exactly what we need, at the right time. It's going to be a huge movement just like BG3. Especially on pc with mods.
I really like that aspect of armor in rpgs when they give you a lots of slots so you can kinda just look like anything. Yeah its goofy but what do you expect when you're just picking up and obtaining random armors. Also I feel like they're trying to pull a Valhalla and solve the same "issue" that AC RPGs had. Finding a way to simplify the loot and make it meaningful. Though I feel like you kinda miss the point when you start chipping away at the loot pool. The whole loot aspect to RPGs, imo is what makes it a true RPG. You can have a abundance of loot and have meaningful items, literally the whole reason why special/unique items exist.
There's one thing that I hope makes a return that was absent from Dark Arisen. If I boot up the game and hear Into Free playing, I'll buy every piece of DLC Capcom want me to buy.
content creators with over 500k subs... i KNOW you have a beast rig.. all of you either have a 3090 or a 4090 and i dunno why but i feel all of you have a 4090, you know you'll be playing on PC dont front Sir.
I did enjoy Dragon’s Dogma 2 because of its character creation, exciting combat, graphics, soundtrack and boss fights. But my biggest problem with the game is the constant back tracking. I have to travel from point a to point b in order to reach the quest objective without any mounts or fats travel. Worst of all there are monsters that block my path and I don’t want to damage my health in case of a boss fight. So I have to dash in order to get away from them which ends up depleting my stamina in a rapid way. Whenever this game reaches nighttime, the back tracking is ten times worst as higher level monsters or undead show up and wipe out my party meaning I have to sprint all the way back to the city in order to get away from them, which causes my Arisen to be out of breath and sometimes, I end up dying.
We need something brand new or maybe back to the roots open world games. Minute 10 to 12 explains the issue perfectly. Clearly, nobody tops Bethesda pre-Starfield with this. DD2 seems like a "semi-hardcore" version of the open world style we are looking for. No more towers...poi's...kill x rabbits mmo style quests...The aesthetics and scenarios for DD2 seems like a dream come true.
Platinumed the first in anticipation. Amazing game as a huge action rpg fan. I still think the combat and pawn system is ahead of most modern games. It’s just janky everywhere else lmao. Truly had as much fun playing it as like demon souls on ps3 back in the day. Can’t believe I played one and not the other
Couple of thoughts: I think this will be a game that many will buy but few will finish. And the fps issues on console it’s really unacceptable. I saw many videos and gameplay on ps5 published late 2023 and they were around 40/50fps. So there was a way… they just decided for something else. My only hope is that my lowering the resolution on console and tv to 1080 from 4k, that would lead to fps not going under 30.
30 frames is really harsh on my eyes these days for some reason, spent too long pc gaming so 30 really throws me out of wack. So with that being said im glad i went for dragons dogma 2 on pc and really looking forward to absolutely leveling everything as a sorceror :)
He was talking about monsters coming to the town and fighting you and the villagers helping out as if thats not a thing in skyrim and its brand new lol But this game looks right up my alley. I love open world games im not sick of them. I still play fallout and skyrim. The witcher 4 could be exactly like the witcher 3 and ill be completely satisfied. Having the freedom in a giant open world theres just nothing that competes to me.
I think I realised what pre-orders are for with digital. Its nothing other than to support the devs and publisher surely? And to be able to play / download it right out of the gate? I'm thinking may pre-order this game.. Its getting me hyped 🚂
I must say though the lack of any lock-on still in DD2 seems a missed opportunity to me. At least for melee I often feel like hitting or blocking at the wrong direction. Other than that I'm very much looking forward to this bigger and better attempt at the original.
I missed the DD1 when it came out, but recently played it for the first time. It was better than I expected. Still a product of its time, both for good and for bad, but I did not regret the 20 or so hours I sunk into the main scenario. I hope they improve the pawn AI though, it was pretty awful at times.
The only thing that I’m concerned about is the repetitive gameplay of the first one. Cyclops over There, Here it is Again, same Wolf pack attack in the same exact area. I knew where everything was on the map and eventually farmed bosses using Portcrystals. This one is looking like the same thing essentially.
Same, I can play in one of two rooms thanks to a 50ft fiber hdmi. I was confused at first when he mentioned having to make a choice but I guess some people think consoles are less of a bother
Same! Usually with the controller but the couch master comes out for keyboard and mouse games. Though my giant hdmi cable seems to be wearing out the ports on my lg oled haha.
I did this for a while but the terrible ports that have been going out lately and messing around with settings to made the game playable i just start buying my games on the ps5 and just dont think about any of that, im not the teen that enjoy the pc ecosystem anymore i just want to play and dont think about anything else lol
Its more so ecosystem people are used to or grown up with. Gamerscores, trophies etc. Not everyone plays PC and companies need to cater for 60 fps performance modes and fidelity modes.
I want to get Dragon's Dogma 2 on PC as I have a 4070, but because it has online-only Denuvo DRM, I have to go with the Series X version, because I'm not paying for a singleplayer game that I can't play offline. Capcom needs to stop this DRM garbage.
Guys please wait for Digital Foundry review of the game, especially if you do not own a powerful PC... I have PS5 and even though it breaks my heart I will probably not buy it because I suspect framerate drops...
Lore wise, I wonder why we suddenly don't have infinite stamina when a monster attacks us lol...I'd be like I just ran across the country, now I can't run more then 20 feet without getting tired? What the hell happened? You would think it would be the other way around, monster shows up and adrenaline kicks in allowing you to run LONGER lol.

I love how elden ring had the same 3 boses in most of the dungeons.
Just because a sandbox has quest logs and markers doesn’t mean you can’t go off and do stuff on your own.
Port crystals u can place anywhere u want use ferry stone to teleport to port crystals u find port crystals in main story areas and other places and can move them wherever you want and pick them back up
they're in the game, yes
Ya they are but he said they were hidden and some are not plus when u go to a city they have big permanent crystals there after u activate them u can teleport to those
I've watched every video out for this game
Sucks being super broke, i really want this game. The 1st one was phenomenal. Thanks Trudeau.
The good news is, in ten years the game will be 5 bucks. The bad news is, by then 5 bucks will be worth 500 bucks
Finance it 💀

Despite the frame rate issues ima still gonna buy it on my ps5 and have a wonderful time
As someone who recently got a new PC and has been playing games at 60fps I’m playing FF7 Rebirth in performance mode. 30fps looks too choppy after you’ve got used to 60fps. I also set both my PS5 and PC up on my TV, cant stand sitting at my desk to play games, plus its where i work so need a change of scenery 😂
A game where the devs treat you with respect. The fact that one of the cool new bosses they’ve shown is a hidden boss is so cool, reminds me of ER. Count wait to uncover its secrets.
Elden Ring but with cool pawns and not as punishing combat but still epic fights with monsters. Gonna be fucking awesome!!
@@Endymion429 i dont know about the combat honestly the first was extremely punishing because of the low stamina you have and everything, gameplays are extremely high level gameplay for sure you will spend tons of hours before you will get to that level of combat just like the first one
100%
@@Endymion429i think Dd is still punishing, some class cant dodge so you gotta commit to the RPG aspect of it
People keep comparing single playwer RPG´s to soulsborne games and Elden Ring like the other stuff did not exist decaded before soulsborne. A map without map markers was already a thing in OG Dragon´s Dogma, 10 years before Elden Ring even came out.
This game reaffirms my decision to move to PC last year

My only concern with DD2 is its performance on consoles. Other than that, it looks really really good.
I'm gonna wait and see if it gets a 60fps patch.
Are they even gonna release one?

We need a lord of the rings game in the style of dragons dogma

I'd prefer that the LOTR not be desecrated any further, no game devs nor any media deserve to touch Tolkien's works anymore
@@Klodhvig’shadow of’ series was good 👍
@1rickslater they are very fun games, some of my favorites, but now after the passing of Christopher Tolkien, I think it best and most respectful to no longer expand or adapt Tolkien's works any further. Keep all as it is, they are already timeless and should be honored as they remain.
This game is going to be breaking records 💯
It wont touch Harry potter
@@DoomiePookie you’re right. It will not even be close to how much better it will be.
Dropped over 200 hours in to first game with out even really touching BBI. I really hope it's everything I wanted and more
Bro PLZ go back and finish BBI before it comes out! It was awesome and the Damion fight was amazing! Especially the boss music coils of light
@@thefirsttrillionaire2925yes it was an awesome fight, to get the platinum and 100% the DLC trophies took some time. Like getting to level 200 and beating the game and BBI on hard mode whilst also defeating Damon in his true form, was tough and bit of a slog but well worth it. Can’t wait to play DD2 🤙
I’m playing the first one and it’s pretty ahead of its time. I’ve only slayed some deadly goblins
I played the first game on release and it quickly became one of my top 3 favorite games of all time. I am SO ready to spend years playing dogma 2, it looks like the developers had full reign & time to do as much as they wanted this time around🙏
*btw this was a really great video, your love of the game really comes through
ah a fellow OG Arisen! but did you know that "Goblins ill like fire"?
I wish more devs would keep their games under wraps for as long as they did. There were some rumours here and there, but nothing concrete until the official announcement. I'm so sick seeing announcements 2+ years before the projected release of a game.

I loved Dragon's Dogma 1, and then there was DD online, but I never saw anyone playing it - I think it was restricted in the EU. Plus there was something wrong about it. I am hyped for DD2. I'm glad this time it gets much more attention.
PC Master race going to benefit on this one.
First time i played dragon’s dogma was in 2023 and i just loved the game , even with those 2003-2009 graphics lmao
I bought the Digital Deluxe Edition for Xbox afew weeks ago, also the other big game releasing same day is Rise of the Ronin. I purchased the Digital Deluxe Edition of that game aswell for PS5
Great Skyrim music btw. You’re so professional but also your excitement is so infectious 👑
I'm think I'm gonna skip this until a 60 fps patch.
They might never do it
@@Mark-99999 it would suck if they didn't because I would like to get the platinum in that game. I'm just gonna keep waiting
wow, mr matty, you're the only one who knew what was up with that CAPCOM developed game..you're so cool!
This is a dream come true and I love to see that everyone’s just now getting into game. Just beautiful may it be a game of the year.
Strange sponsor Matty, anyway that aside, i never did finish the original Dragons Dogma i think i'd better get on that
It's better than the overused opera gx sponsorships you see all over RUclips to be honest
Maybe they fleshed out the story, and I hope they did, but
Everyone should try this game! And the Pawn system is amazing.
I've been waiting for so long, and now it's almost here. I can't wait.
Sub 30 fps is a big nope from me. Even 30 would be pushing it.
Appreciate the saber choreography 😂
I’ve spent 12 hours on my character and creating my wife in game, I’ve gotten so accurate that I’ve shown it to others who don’t even game and they’re flipping out 🎉
I feel like im buying 2 games each month back to back.
None of these ads ever mention the microtransactions, removed armor customization, or how it's online only with denuvo....
30 fps in 2024! Everybody involved should be ashamed
Drop 2k-3k on a PC brah, never complain about gaming again.
So damn happy they kept it single player.
I’m very very excited for this game but as a console fan I’ll admit the info about the framerate is concerning
In the old game u can see quests pawns had done so u can choose pawns with alot of quest knowledge so they can lead u
He was talking about monsters coming to the town and fighting you and the villagers helping out as if thats not a thing in skyrim and its brand new lol
But this game looks right up my alley. I love open world games im not sick of them. I still play fallout and skyrim. The witcher 4 could be exactly like the witcher 3 and ill be completely satisfied. Having the freedom in a giant open world theres just nothing that competes to me.
LFG can't wait for this!!!
No stamina outside combat is such a good change! first time around not knowing where to place port crystals was a pain
Banishers is the most recent hub-based RPG, I think - and it was amazing.
I think I realised what pre-orders are for with digital. Its nothing other than to support the devs and publisher surely? And to be able to play / download it right out of the gate? I'm thinking may pre-order this game.. Its getting me hyped 🚂
Dragons used to attack people in Skyrim though and the townsfolk also helped you fight them… not very revolutionary.
Always happy to hear love for RuneScape.
I’m very excited too, and you just made me even more excited, Matty 😊
I must say though the lack of any lock-on still in DD2 seems a missed opportunity to me. At least for melee I often feel like hitting or blocking at the wrong direction.
Other than that I'm very much looking forward to this bigger and better attempt at the original.
I missed the DD1 when it came out, but recently played it for the first time. It was better than I expected. Still a product of its time, both for good and for bad, but I did not regret the 20 or so hours I sunk into the main scenario. I hope they improve the pawn AI though, it was pretty awful at times.
Can't wait for the videos of people complaining about the microtransactions when the game drops on the 22nd
Uncapped and unstable framerate, i’ll wait to play on next gen. I already have a massive backlog and would like to replay DD1 at some point
Heck yeah RuneScape is a great game thanks for the mention. The same version you played in highschool exists today!
Hope it doesn't run like crap pn consoles. I do believe if it was most other games it would be held to a higher standard. Its 2024
I play PC games on my main TV in my recliner. It can be done.
Me too
Same, I can play in one of two rooms thanks to a 50ft fiber hdmi.
I enjoy this video. Great work my man
Guys please wait for Digital Foundry review of the game, especially if you do not own a powerful PC...
