I'm trying! Admittedly that's kind of on the backburner, I can't find a Cheat Engine script writer to help me finish things, and the original guy I was working with still never got back to me.
@zerroukyoucef3013 It's pretty vanilla friendly when it comes to the base game so I wouldn't call it an overhaul, more like making the vanilla game feel more complete.
Please don't nerf the multi-shot Bow skills and give Warrior a NOT ass standard moveset if you do manage to figure out how to do that. Do that and my endorsement is yours
@Yosh692 I'll be going over more of it soon, but in the video I showcased new encounters, changed encounters (the Chimera and Cyclops are bigger and stronger) and in the fight with a boss at the end of the video, you'll notice they have multiple dots under their health bar. In the vanilla game, there's a bug that locks all NPC type characters, including bosses, to only 1000hp. I fixed it, in the video the boss has 100,000hp.
@MsJaf11 It's hard to say, it's kind of in a "So close and yet so far" situation, where I have everything planned out and a lot of things already in place but I'm having a little trouble fixing a couple issues and need a tool to be finished to finish one major part, but once the tool is done the thing I'm trying to make should be finished very quicky.
Not to knock your project, it's very intriguing and thank you for wanting to give to the community - however why invest your time into modding dark arisen? As great of a game that it is, isn't Dragons Dogma 2 just so much more moddable, with more options as far as change goes on the table?
@timoneil3869 I'm modding Dark Arisen because other games are so easy to mod. Everyone else has every other game covered, I've been working on Dark Arisen since Christmas of 2018 and at this point I'm one of the only major modders for the game left.

Was able to glean enjoyment from DD2 primarily because of personal positive bias for the IP, and the early game really was very fun. But ultimately, the problem was the price tag, the poor optimization, the bad progression and woefully lacking story, many mistakes which are perplexing given the supposed budget (you don't causally ask $70 USD for subpar performance), and how many of these issues were present in DD1. does this changes some mechanics like for example how healing works to make it more like dd2? wich i think would make it more engaging
does the mod rebalances gear and equipment in some way?
I didn't plan to add anything like the loss gauge mechanic, I can tell you that much, but as for the rest, you'll have to wait and see! I don't want to spoil everything, but I will say that it does cover a lot of what you're talking about in some way or another.
Awesome work!
@@CheriShin21 Thank you!

where'd you get the audio clip in the beginning?
@atorixy It's from ZeroLenny's review on Dragon's Dogma, great video. He makes some valid criticisms of the game and I wanted to address some of them with the mod.

yo any links or anything so i can follow project? youtube randomly recommended me this video and i know nothing about you and the description doesnt give me much
@draconianmethods7110 I'll post some more on this channel once I get some more things done, so you can keep an eye on my RUclips if you want. I don't mention a ton in the description because even though I finally made an announcement, I've kept this giant project under wraps since 2021 because I wanted it to be a giant surprise for everyone.
@@austinshelton8438 Cool, cool. I subscribed and am looking forward to it. I have over hundreds of hours in Dogma, and recently beat it on the World Difficulty mod that changed encounters, so I'm looking forward to this mod!
Will Warrior be able to equip 6 skills?
@KaiKrimson56 Definitely something I'm working towards! One work around I did have for it is I made a Ring that acts as an invisible shield that only Warriors can equip, so you can use shield skills as a Warrior.
youre carrying the DD modding community
add new monsters in the base game and my life is yours
You're gonna like this mod then lol
Thank you!!!❤
And thank you for enjoying my stuff!
😃
What is that music ? What’s the name of it please?
Sure, it's the Dark Bishop boss music from Bitterblack Isle.
Will it have multiplayer tho 👀
I'm trying! Admittedly that's kind of on the backburner, I can't find a Cheat Engine script writer to help me finish things, and the original guy I was working with still never got back to me.
@@austinshelton8438I'd be extremely impressed if you managed that, regardless, this seems great!
@@austinshelton8438 check in with the DDON team. Someone there might be interested.
That's what DDOnline is for.
@@RedStar441 yes, because only one game is allowed to have multiplayer 🙄
I have only one request: PLEASE publish it somewhere else other than Nexus Mods, that site has gone to hell.
It's going to be on Nexus, but I could probably put it on Gamebanana or something for those who don't want to use Nexus.
What's this mod about is it an overhaul like the convergence?
@zerroukyoucef3013 It's pretty vanilla friendly when it comes to the base game so I wouldn't call it an overhaul, more like making the vanilla game feel more complete.
I see some Mods here
Yup, that's the idea haha
Shut up and take my money! (That I don’t have 😭)
Lol, I'll try to get it finished as soon as possible.
Please don't nerf the multi-shot Bow skills and give Warrior a NOT ass standard moveset if you do manage to figure out how to do that. Do that and my endorsement is yours
@@vergilkuchiki8771 I'm not changing bow skills at all, but I am working on making Warrior better.
As a dragon dogma dark arisen newbie i didn't understand anything, can you please elaborate a little
@Yosh692 I'll be going over more of it soon, but in the video I showcased new encounters, changed encounters (the Chimera and Cyclops are bigger and stronger) and in the fight with a boss at the end of the video, you'll notice they have multiple dots under their health bar. In the vanilla game, there's a bug that locks all NPC type characters, including bosses, to only 1000hp. I fixed it, in the video the boss has 100,000hp.
@@austinshelton8438 omg, now that I notice it yeah man... Keep going brother 💪💪
Does the mod only affect the base game? Or the dlc too?
@@Aiden-iy9du There are going to be additions to BBI as well!
Please allow warrior to be good again 😭

Since Capcom will not give DD's fan what they want, let players and moders doing it instead.

DD 1.5?
@ivandonbass8469 Basically with how big the whole mod is 😄
Excellent work, looking forward to this great mod.
One question, is there a possibility of an independent mod to create more enemies, NPCs, monsters?
I don't wanna give away too much of the project, but, stay tuned 😁
@@austinshelton8438 more or less what percentage is missing from this project?
Capcom first needs to add more fixes and content to DD2 before that thing is ready.
It just pity DD2 was such a dissappointing sequel
@Zero_Tester I still had a lot of fun playing the game but I understand where you're coming from. Hopefully this mod helps make up for it for those who didn't have as much fun with the game 😃
@@austinshelton8438 understandable,my gripe with DD2 is with how badly it was handled by the dev, feel like after this we wont see the light of days for another DD project from Capcom, considering it happened with other like Breath Of Fire,Lost Planet series
Hell, DDO even did some things better! But I'll give them credit for not capitulating to paid DLC that grievously impacted gameplay / nickel & dimed people with cosmetics; cash shop was and still is entirely ignorable.
Give it a freaking rest already.
This looks dumb, but not in a good way.
