Reason for trade down
Acquire as many picks as possible to fill holes (LT, RB, ILB, DE, Center) etc.
Explanation for each pick
Tyler Guyton-Mountain of a man (6’8 322 lbs) holds up well against edge rushers. Played right tackle for Oklahoma, but has the physical traits to thrive on the left side.
Jeremiah Trotter JR
Athletic inside linebacker with good pass rushing ability. He’s a strong tackler as well.
Braelon Allen
Tough physical running back that can also break off big runs.
McKinnley Jackson
Stout against the run, the Cowboys need another big defensive tackle to replace Johnathan Hankins.
Bub Means
Wide receiver depth is needed. Means isn’t a burner but he has big play ability.
Erik Watts
Defensive end depth, Watts is versatile, as he played a lot of 5 tech for the Huskies. He’s got really good size and length, but his pass rush moves need improvement.
Ryan Watts
The Cowboys could use another body at the safety position with Jayron Kearse gone.
Watts has good instincts, and is a hard hitter.
Tip Reimann
Good blocking tight end, Sean McKeon type role.

That's the move we need to make since the front office being cheap as usually smdh move down gets some more picks.
personally gets an A, out of a billion mocks I've done, this one is by far the most "bang for your buck" out of the rest of the other mocks

It may not count for much but ive probably done about 100 mock drafts since march and i find more value trading down than staying with 24. especially when i move out of the 1st completely.

Really like the trade down. Not sure I would go Trotter in the 2nd . With the extra pick I'm going D.T. or W.R. and taking a L.B. in the 4th. I do like the T.E. pick can't have enough 3 down T.E. like L.B. they can help on special teams as well..I got it an A . We will see how close you come on some of yours soon . Great job and thank you.

The 1st Round simply must be a Tackle, as there are at least five (5) studs to chose from which a team could use as an anchor to any Offensive Line.
I would like for us to draft a Center in Round 2 and not LB. I thought Trotter was mocked later in the draft? I thought that was a bit of a reach, but an NFL pedigree is a plus.
I'm convinced they have to trade down and get more picks. If they do and things fall in place to have a draft like this I might consider forgiving the Jones'. I just don't know if a guy like Guyton with so much potential and upside will drop that far.
These are the guys that always fall to me in mocks. No choice imo to trade down unless someone special falls. I feel it will be an effective but not flashy draft, leaving the boys short at the final whistle. Great job Bro

I said he could have traded back a 2nd time to the early 2nd round and drafted the tackle from byu. Dallas does not have enough draft picks to fill all of their needs. Dallas needs a starting o tackle, center, d tackle, pass rusher, line backer, running back, wide receiver and corner. How are you going to fill all of those needs with out trading back more than once.
Well after June 1st the Cowboys will have a little cap space and shortly after this teams are going to start releasing costly big named players thar will be looking for 1 year deals to stay in the league. The Cowboys will fill some of their needs there. What they dont fill in the draft and UDFA rookies. UDFA rookies, I see them getting a punter during this period. Also pick up some depth players here as well. But if you are looking for the Cowboys to make a big splash, you are going to be disappointed. Rebuild next season is the plan, and other than Parsons, I'm not sure who they will give big contracts to. Lamb may be out the door because of his price. Which for what he will cost, they could find younger cheaper players. Probably not as good but time will tell on that. I'm not even sure they want Prescott back. Honestly, he is one that I don't see getting another contract. Mainly because of his playoff problem.
Not a good mock draft. We need a center and you did not draft one. We need corner and you did not draft one. You drafted safety and tight end. We have enough of those. The linebacker trotter to slow. I like the trade down. Dallas needs more than one trade down in order to fill all of their needs. The running back is big and powerful but slow. You could have traded down again in the 1st round to the early second round and picked the o tackle from byu. I like McKinley from a & m. Good run stuffer.
How do you know he could have traded down again in the 1st?

I don’t want a 5th round WR I’m sorry but we need to get some more help in the WR room, CeeDee and Brandin Cooks is not enough, next year he’s gone and we won’t have help. We will be left with CeeDee and Trey Lance.
