I'm excited about the Golden, I think Princess has provided the best service out of any cruise I've been on. Again thanks for the vid, My "other half" has watched it now and is very excited. Had a fab. time for a 2-week vac. to "HAWAII", FOOD WAS EXCELLENT...GOT TO GO BACK SOON, & Had to go to a "LUAU"...AMAZING TIME I WON'T FORGET "THE GOLDEN PRINCESS"!
I've cruised on this ship from long beach to Hawaii on a two week cruise. it's extremely nice and huge but I was in my mid 20s at the time with my gf and it was like a floating retirement home... I wouldn't suggest it to younger people. the pizza bar. burger bar, 24hr room service and all you can eat buffet is amazing plus all the activities and the countless bars lol... it was fun until my ex got drunk, bloodied my lip and got herself arrested on board and almost got us disembarked in Mexico.

Well, you sold me. We haven't sailed with Princess in over 10 years, but the upgrades looked amazing and we were able to snag a mini-suite for only $600 on the Crown. Thanks!

I'm a Royal Caribbean man myself but wanted to know what this ship was like being that my parents where currently on it. It actually looks quite good. Reasonably modern with a lot of lounges, bars, theatres and pools. The video itself is well put together with steady footage and voice over.
Great videos! We are looking at a cruise from Australia to New Zealand and see that The Golden Princess and NCL Jewel are on the route. (Would like to go on the new Ovation of the seas but it is round trip from Australia and we want to end in NZ). Since you have been on both Golden and Jewel, which would you suggest to go from Sydney to Aukland? Cheers!
Wonderful video! My wife and I recently came across your videos and have pretty much watched them all. We cruise often, yet out of New Orleans; therefore our ships have been limited to Carnival and Norwegian. Would love to cruise Princess. Do you have a cruise line preference?
Thank you, and your wife for tuning in! That's a tough question. We lean toward Princess, and feel most at home on their ships, but we've grown to LOVE NCL and some Carnival ships (Miracle is a fave) and we love the relaxing vibe on Holland America.
Hey CTT, Oct - Nov China to Aus tour is over and I had a blast on the Golden Princess. I found my way around easy with this vid, my only advise is the Video games have gone, Otherwise completely valid and what a ship.
I loved the Golden Princess. My only complaint is we purchased "Coke refill cups", that allowed us to get as many refills as we wanted. Only one problem........you have to ask a bartender or dining staff to refill your Coke, which would usually take 15 to 20 minutes before they returned with your beverage. The cup held maybe 8 ounces? When I would be eating in the dining room, and ask a dining staff member to fill my Coke cup, I would usually be done eating before the staff member returned with my beverage. I think this is done purposefully. If we had known, we would have bought our own drinks when we went into Port, and brought them back to our stateroom. Everything else was top notch. Not sure why they would have such a small thing as refilling your beverage to be such a hassle, especially when you are paying thousands for a cruise, and even pay extra for the Coke refill cup, lol. You would think they would have had refill stations, but evidently not.
+CruiseTipsTV I would have been 100% satisfied if they had given me a canned Coke.....providing that it didn't take 15 or more minutes to get the beverage to me. They definitely need a better system. Princess Cruises shouldn't charge people for an extra like the free refill Coke cup if they intend on making it a hassle for the guests. I would definitely advise any potential "cruisers" who read this to not pay for the "free Coke refill cup", unless a change is made.

Isn't that the WORST? We experienced that as well and the "bar coke" isn't tasty. Don't you think soda machines OR serving canned coke would be nice?
