thanks for the video! I went to a Japanese steakhouse the other day and what really caught my attention was the simple yet extremely delicious soup they had as a starter. After trying it I knew I had to make some for myself haha
My favorite soup, I'm going to start trying every recipe till I find the best one (to my tastes). Thank you, yours will probably be the first one I try!
Wow. This is what I needed. Thanks for putting out this recipe. I'll make it at my College Food production practical exam. What is the substitute for Beef Bullion?
No, miso soup is very different. Steakhouse soup isn't really Japanese. You normally won't find it served with Japanese cuisine. It's more of a Japanese interpretation of American food - ie steakhouse. Japanese miso soup is normally built on dashi and miso. Dashi stock made 1 or 2 of the following: kombu (dried kelp), katsuobushi (shaved dried smoked skipjack), niboshi (dried anchovies), and/or reconstituted dried shiitake mushrooms. Miso is a soybean paste that has aged for 6 months to 3 years or more.
I've been wanting to try this recipe! Definitely gonna make it tonight. Also I'd suggest moving the camera down slightly, and lowering the volume of the music in the mix.
I'm from NC. I don't think I had ever heard of it before but when I was browsing youtube royalty free music, it popped up and I thought it sounded fun!
Liz Marbl omg for real!? That’s super exciting, weird to think I wrote that comment 3 years ago when I was 14 and now I work in an actual kitchen so this made me super happy to hear!
@@willweck3240 I'm honored! Tbh I didnt think you'd reply because of how old the comment was, so I was happy to see you reply! I'm glad to see you accomplished you dream of cooking!
Cook it with some ginger for more authentic japanese, plus add tamari before serving ... or sometimes I use tamari that I keep in the fridge that has garlic and ginger already soaking in the bottle. Lovely video, and love your food dye ones also.
What's with the music? I tried to watch somebody else's cooking video and it was the same thing. You can't turn the sound off because you want to hear your remarks but the music is so annoying that my nerves are jangled.
My goodness, next time use vegetable broth, then add your mushroom slices, you discarded all those beautiful vegetables, shame, scale of 1 to 10 you get a 4, sorry
I just tried this and it’s so delicious! Thank you for the simple recipe!
You're welcome and thank you! I am so happy you liked it! :)

Poor audio quality and nonstop music are too annoying. Stopped watching after 45 secs.
What a waste of broth.

I added that you can keep the vegetables in. It's a preference. Thanks for your opinion though!
Your name pretty much says it all. Opinions are like buttholes, politics and religion, usually nobody wants to hear any of them.
You added nothing to the conversation. The soup looks great.
