I was watching this live and just burst into tears, literally! I know it seems weird but for a Suikoden fan for the longest time and a backer for this game seem quite a long time and finally the end is within sight! My excitement just cranked up to an 11! I agree with the one who commented that there might be hardware issues for the Switch version but I hope there is none for this is a game perfect for the Switch. I also like that they'll be releasing this on different platforms! But I agree, they just teased us with new gameplay footage and it kinda made me anticipate for it more! And I knew you'll be reacting to this so I was waiting for your video. Haha! Edit: Now I'm wondering what they will be showing on TGS 2023 since they dropped this trailer for the Nintendo Direct. Crossing my fingers that they'll give us more :D

So do I need to play any other games before or… I can play this game standalone. Cuz honestly the concept of having a bloody army at my disposal feels much more refreshing than like 8 teenagers saving the world from an entire army and demon kings?
Can't wait for this, but taking this and other trailers into consideration, can battle animations be turned off? Was that covered in a previous update? Nowa's physical attack looks amazing, but it took 3-4 seconds. It seems like this could get old if there are lots of random encounters or if you want to grind.
I honestly see a downgrade, I hope this is due to the Nintendo Switch only, devs need to know we need definition and good performance and the main build shouldn't be affected to make sure it runs on Nintendo Switch as well or they'll say the game is old. I hope the best for this game but every new trailer it looks worse and worse!

Trailer looks pretty sweet! The woman leading the troops down the hall reminds me of Valeria. Always used her because her Falcon rune was so strong.

I thoroughly enjoyed rising, but even those that aren't ecstatic about it will benefit from the setup. I doubt it'll be essential though.
You dont need Rising. But it explains the backstory and relationship of 3 characters in particular.

You can absolutely play this stand alone. There is a little prequel game with some events and shared characters, but it’s not necessary
