I love it when during I’m Just Wild About Harry Eubie days, “ Look out I’m going now!”. Whenever he says that you know what you are going to hear next is some of the darnest swinging piano there is.
@@SugarBearMosher - If you ever play in the Los Angeles area would love to hear you get going on this one. Were those Eubie Blake Music lps ever released on CD? I have so many people wanting to buy my lps would be nice to refer them to a cd issue.
@@jazzgirl1920s at some point I will try to make it across the country to play. The eubie music never got released on CDs for the most part,, but I am working on transferring the lps to Google drive folders with public access
@@SugarBearMosher -I eagerly bought those Eubie Blake music lp’s when they first came out. It was nice to hear the really early recordings Blake made with Noble Sissle finally on lp as the 78’s were so hard to find.
An American gem of an artist and, most of all, a gem, of a gentleman. Thanks so much for posting.
Thank you so much for posting this interview !
Thanks so much for this. Any video like this of Eubie Blake is a priceless and entertaining document.
@Sugar Bear Mosher,
*Thanks ever so much* for uploading this *lovely* piece of African-American, American, music, and theatre *history!*
What an incredible man and a beautiful slice of history. Young ones, take note.
Thank you Sterling for recording this, I'd never seen it!
I need to digitally transfer it instead of filming it!
This is amazing!
