It's hard to believe that this chest of drawers was hidden under that hideous lemon yellow paint. I love the stain you chose, so warm. I like that you saved the "fancy" knobs - they are so unique and really are like a statement piece of jewelry on a beautiful dress. As always, I just love your attention to detail. You are my favorite furniture saver. Have a wonderful week.

Painting the strips of molding is a genius idea! It really sets off the hardware, and I’m so glad that you kept the embroidered knobs.

This one is so special. It turned out stunning and has stories to tell. The knobs are placed on the small drawer at the perfect height for reaching while standing in front of a mirror. This is the place where a lady will place her makeup, jewelry, and lingerie. She'd remove her blush and lipstick as well as her celluloid comb and silk stockings from the drawer as she began to get ready. I wonder if a mom or grandmother embroidered the knobs for the piece and presented it to her as a wedding gift. I'm so glad you decided to preserve the knobs because they definitely belong to the history of the piece so others can imagine their own idea of its past 😊.

The back board has a purpose, with skirting boards furniture does not always touch the wall at the top, the back board means it will always be flush with the wall, and with filling that gap, it prevents dirt and dust gathering down the back of the piece, now you know 🙂While you were sanding I already had that piece refinished in my head, with the pretty knobs I thought a really pale nude/pink, it would of been lovely in a little girls room. I repurposed furniture for decades, and pretty pink pieces for nursery's always a winner.

I ADORE YOUR “ON AIR” neon sign at the start of this video!❤️ I really thought that this piece was covered in “Laminex” like our very old (1950’s) kitchen table! That stuff it was painted with was soooo tough to remove! I thought, “Bring out the Kryptonite!” Your perseverance is formidable. You realise that you cannot sell this dresser…….you’d never get your money back on it! I’ve never seen so many hours put into a single, inexpensive, plain piece! I wondered what type of wood it was. I may have missed you saying it, but it looks like oak to me. Well done, mate! That’s why you and Mad City Modern are my two favourites! Also love the gorgeous fluffies and the “two thousand years later’s” 😊❤️🦘🇦🇺
