Thank you so much for saving the knobs with the needlework inserts. Your patience, stick-to-it-tiveness and attention to detail has once again rewarded us with a beautiful creation. I am sure I am not alone in saying that I would have given up and just painted the darn thing and called it a day. I am so grateful for your videos.

It's hard to believe that this chest of drawers was hidden under that hideous lemon yellow paint. I love the stain you chose, so warm. I like that you saved the "fancy" knobs - they are so unique and really are like a statement piece of jewelry on a beautiful dress. As always, I just love your attention to detail. You are my favorite furniture saver. Have a wonderful week.

Beautiful job. My great grandmother has a set of dressers like this one, same embroidery and same style embroidery knobs. During the 50s dressers like this one were like Ikea furniture is today except for the detailing. The knobs are hand created from a cast and the embroidery is unique to each owners taste. This is a stunning rehab and it really shows in the details.

This one is so special. It turned out stunning and has stories to tell. The knobs are placed on the small drawer at the perfect height for reaching while standing in front of a mirror. This is the place where a lady will place her makeup, jewelry, and lingerie. She'd remove her blush and lipstick as well as her celluloid comb and silk stockings from the drawer as she began to get ready. I wonder if a mom or grandmother embroidered the knobs for the piece and presented it to her as a wedding gift. I'm so glad you decided to preserve the knobs because they definitely belong to the history of the piece so others can imagine their own idea of its past 😊.

The back board has a purpose, with skirting boards furniture does not always touch the wall at the top, the back board means it will always be flush with the wall, and with filling that gap, it prevents dirt and dust gathering down the back of the piece, now you know 🙂While you were sanding I already had that piece refinished in my head, with the pretty knobs I thought a really pale nude/pink, it would of been lovely in a little girls room. I repurposed furniture for decades, and pretty pink pieces for nursery's always a winner.
