There is a problem with freeskates and it's that many rollerblade are already called freeskates and thus when you browse them, it's hard to find the jmk freeskates.
I got my first pair of free skates from JMK about a week ago and it’s been great so far! I’ve been improving a lot, but I’ve noticed that I’m having more difficulty turning forwards than I am turning backwards. Any ideas of things I might be doing wrong and/or ways to help? Thanks!
So I got these about a week ago on Friday and I tried them for about three days and started to get it but have been working a bunch but today I got on them and I don’t know why but the pumping just clicked and I can do it now lol it’s so fun
Im struggeling with freeskates. I cant do toes invard toes outwerds and starting the movent by pushing my back leg . I either slip my back leg off when pushing or get no speed. I can move around. Any advice? I got mine yesterday
Something as simple as a driveway is better! Learning on flat isn’t the easiest, especially if you don’t have help from others or something to push off of
@@jmkride the paths and roads just aren't as smooth as other campuses, they're mostly gravel or cobblestone. not to say it's impossible but a giant tire is more ideal lol

I tried buying freeskates earlier this day but the discount codes didn't work, like "work" and "SUMMER15". I guess I gotta pay full price but how fast do they expire since taxes and shipping raises the price to $140
Good luck! Don't feel discouraged! You see a lot of people in these videos getting it in a few minutes but if you're like me, and you don't get it right away, just keep going and trust it will eventually click. Only on my second day after already having put in a couple of hours did I start to be able to balance on them. This means, no turning or pumping, just standing on top of them for a few seconds in a straight line. Maybe you'll learn it faster than I did, but I just wanted to give another perspective because it might take longer than it looks in the videos and that's okay
@@ric6611 Just got them together, but looks like we're gonna have some rain here so looks like I am just gonna be inside just trying to balance on them. Also my 4yr saw them and tried to jump on them, so I might need to get another pair eventually.
@@TheSqueegeeman That's a shame because I really can't recommend enough doing it on a decline, but I understand because I'm on the same boat. I started on a decline but because I'm now having rain as well I have to do it indoors on flat ground, and it's much much harder. Went from balancing on them fairly well to almost falling off instantly again. It's slower progress than before, but it beats the alternative of no progress at all.

That's amazing! You're absolutely right about the "click", it happens with time and the feeling unlocks
You should try skateboarding wheels like on free skates

Many freeskaters start with zero experience. Best of luck to you, and just know the learning curve is worth it!
