Some of you may have seen this video on our main channel already, but we wanted to share it here to have all our trips in one place! We have new videos coming, but we've been so busy with college move out we haven't had a chance to share them yet. Thanks for watching and hope you all have a great day!
You are really talented! This video is very interesting. All of the little side trips are great. Even looking in the windows was a joy. Bones is so well-behaved. Staying at the Baker is on my bucket list. I'm 74 and live in San Angelo.
I am 77 now but twice in my life I lived in Mineral Wells. I loved your video but was hoping to see the 1st Presbyterian Church where my husband was pastor for a while. When I was there back in the 70s my husband was stationed at Fort Wolters and I worked at the Arts n Craft Shop. I loved that little town so much and I saw places during your tour that I did recognize. I was a member of the Womens Club at the old Post Office. Thank you so much for giving me so much joy watching this.
I lived on Welcome Mountain in the 70's, played along sides of mountain & by the Welcome Sign. Walked the historic Donkey bricked Trail, bet many of the bricks from 20's & 30's still there.
Enjoyed seeing my old home town. You missed another historic site in Mineral Wells, that being the old Fort Wolters. It was the primary helicopter training center for helicopter pilots going to Vietnam. I worked at the heliport at Palo Pinto, west of Mineral Wells, during my high school days. The base was huge in it's heydays, but closed down sometime in the early 1970's. The town really went down hill after that, as the Fort was the main employer in that area. Both of my parents work at Fort Wolters, and retired when the Fort closed. The town never has really recovered from that situation.
Oh cool ! There's a place in Ashland Oregon called Lithia Park 🙂 the natural spring has Lithium in it - you can see the locals filling up with gallon water jugs and walking home lol ! It helps people with manic depression - even outs your mood swings ~ makes you feel happy 😁
I haven't been to Mineral Wells in ages. It was nice to see it again through your camera. You should visit McKinney's historical downtown square and homes one day.
I used to live 4 blocks from there My dad has a bunch of land in cool and a huge house just south on 281, My brother and I moved to Mineral Wells and stayed with my dad. Found good Jobs on the weekends we used to break in there and go to the top smoke weed and drink beers. We were up in the Bell Tower once and the cops came because some hoodlums were in the bottom breaking the plywood trying to get in. safe adventures you guys I subscribed and shared the video;)
Will there ever be enough people to even stay at that Baker hotel consistently? I can't imagine there would be enough business to warrant it reopening.
I live in Wichita Falls Texas and have been to Mineral Wells many times because they have some great mountain bike trails around Mineral Wells lake. Been trough the town a couple of times but never really did any site seeing. I should have because it really looks cool. Think how old all those buildings are in that town. I love old towns where they paint the advertising right on the side of the buildings instead of hanging a sign. There is a house somewhere there in town or the outskirts of town that is said to be the most haunted house in the US. It was investigated on the Travel Channel show " The Portals Of Hell " With Jack Osbourne. Never heard of the house but would like to see it. I don't think I want to go inside though. Love your channel and loved the tour of the city and of course Bones. Keep up the great videos and really enjoyed it.
There is the small town of Putnam that was known for their "magical" water too. Just now looking it up online, it actually states that it wasn't exploited because of the high amount of competition from Mineral Wells. I'm only about 20 miles from there.
I just came across your video tonight. I’ve had this water when I’ve bought it at H-E-B here in San Antonio but I’ve been wanting to drive out there and I’m really excited to try the sparkling water.
If you guys want to see what the hotel will look like when opened, check out a couple of the sister hotels built at the same time. The Arlington in Hot Springs Arkansas and the Bently in Alexandria Louisiana
Cool video! I used to visit my aunt in Weatherford every summer and I think we went by here. I am “crazy” about old historic buildings and towns. Thanks!
I used to live there. For about 10 years. My youngest son who is now 35, was born there. I remember shopping at a fabric store that was located at the base of the hotel in the early 80s. There were lots of stores under the hotel back then. I loved living there. My mom said she never saw so many fast food places and dr offices in one town in her life 😅 when she visited me.
Just watching this and enjoying it, as we live in Mineral Wells, BUT the first well was in Lynch Plaza and the Crazy Well was behind where the Crazy Water Hotel. Check!
gimme some of that Crazy Water! This vid is awesome! I love getting to travel Texas without leaving my lounge chair.. love the three of you and love what you guys do.. much love ♥️♥️♥️♥️🐨Bones is too adorable 🖤🖤🐾🐾💋💋💋
@@sparksamericana I lived in Conroe in Montgomery County from 2001-2005 before moving back to Florida. I didn't see as much as I wanted to while I lived there. Galveston, Denton, and a few other places. So I'll enjoy watching your Texas travels as you go places and post them. ✌️👌👍
I’ve lived in Weatherford for 8 years and have been to Mineral Wells (14 miles from my house) just a handful of times but never took a walking tour of it. Thanks for doing that for me .😊. I mainly go to the retail stores and the antique stores and go the wrong way on the one way streets .😂. If you go on the back streets where the houses are, they are like washboards. I don’t know how the residents drive on them every day. Thanks for the tour.
The tall building at ruclips.net/video/2Q4-vxtaFuA/видео.html was the old Box Factory that boxed Crazy Water Crystals & shipped them by train on the rails still there out to the entire world where they were famous. My dad drove truck there when it was Pollock Paper Company back in 1962, I remember picking him up after a run.
At ruclips.net/video/2Q4-vxtaFuA/видео.html they pass the early Norwood Hospital, once with two stories, later added one to make tree. I seem to remember visiting it as a child in the 60's.

I love the way Bones curls his tale over his back, never seen another cat do that, fantastic kitty boy, love him.💖🫂💖
The vets said the same thing... never seen a cat's tail do that! He's just our special boy 🖤

How fun to see a little bit of history 😊 and Bones was quite the cute traveling kitty 🐈⬛
Enjoyed seeing Bones on his adventures

I think the Women's Club held meetings in the WW2 USO Club, still standing.
Love yal so much, i came over to catch up on this channel ❤❤❤
So nice to see a small town video, not showing druggies and homelessness. America does still have great places.
This place is known to be meth central. Don't be fooled.
@@CiscoSZRExactly! I clicked on the suggestion because of sheer shock.
Watched it again❤❤❤
Thank youu ❤️❤️
Watched again! Bones in the Backpack-such a good Kitty! ❤🐈⬛❤🐈⬛❤🐈⬛❤
Thank you for coming along again!! ❤️

Been there several times when I was growing up ❤😊
It gave me chills seeing those cause when we went it in 1969 and everything was still operating 😮😢😊

Grew up in Fort Worth. We called it ‘Mineral Hells.’ Spooky town in general. Thanks for the tour
Grew up in Mineral Wells in 60's & 70's, no ghosts here, manufactured for gullible.
Enjoy watching thanks for sharing 😊😊
Will there ever be enough people to even stay at that Baker hotel consistently? I can't imagine there would be enough business to warrant it reopening.
If you build it, they will come.
we were just in mineral wells last week! i love the small town💚
400+ wells in Mineral Wells, one in the basement in the old Piggly Wiggly building, one where the Baker Hotel was built on.
Land sailing with the sparks 😅
If I remember my husband right. They built it based off the Hot Springs hotel in Arkansas. They wanted to make it the Texas version of hot springs.
You guys are a bunch of cool cruisy cats! Love your furbaby, Bones and love your videos x
❤ the travel video! Please do more!!!!
So glad you enjoyed it!! We have another one coming soon ❤️
Saw this one.Good one.

A Naaman Forest shirt? Howdy from Garland! Thanks for this video. Loved searching for fossils there awhile back.
Fossil plants found West of Mineral Wells daily. For free.
Your travel channel just popped up! Subscribed! 😊
Wonderful! Thank you for subscribing!
I have seen this but I watched half of it again. 🙂 It's so interesting. I love when you share your travels and information like this.😊
It’s called an exam table. Thanks for taking us along!

We love old historic towns, too! We went to Hico recently and are excited to share that video next, there were soo many cool old buildings!
I thought I’ve watched this one before, nice to see it again. 👍⭐️
Thanks for rewatching! Glad you enjoyed it a second time ❤️
That hotel looks eerie. It reminds me of a old hotel in a scary movie. 😊😊
I remember my Mom use to buy A&W Root-beer in those glass jugs with the side loop handle.

It’s by the Martin Building.
And if you want to get the best shot of the Baker, go out north to Union Hill Road, and turn around. It’s beautiful from there!
You can buy Crazy Water at Kroger and other stores. I buy them at the Kroger near me in Keller, TX.
By the #4 the red Label, the good stuff.
Awesome❤❤❤❤

I love watching your travel videos. I just moved to Newark Texas 5 weeks ago not too far from y'all
Glad you enjoy them! That's awesome, welcome to Texas!
In 1969 I delivered the Mineral Wells Index newspaper to a lady living on a middle floor of the Baker Hotel.
Pozdrawiam😊😊😊😊❤❤❤
Didn't ya'll go here last summer? Have a safe wonderful trip!!
We went here in May, just a couple months ago. This is the same trip, but we wanted to share it here so all our travel videos could be in one place!

They won't ever finish. Notice how no workers are present. It's a mess.
Why are you showing a video you showed us last summer GOD BLESS
We posted this video on our main channel two months ago :) We are sharing it here to have all our trip videos in one place!
You should go see the prisons there. There's a prison in almost every town Tx.
