The Show's Diagnosis: She's allergic to copper. The dishes she was washing were copper, the tea she drank was stored in copper, both of which set off her allergic reaction. The catalyst for this was a copper IUD she got when she was younger.
it wasn't a copper allergy, it was wilson's disease. her body can't process or break down copper, so it just built up in her body for years and years until it finally hit a breaking point. the copper allergy was another misdiagnosis. they realized she wasn't having allergic reaction, but was experiencing heavy metal poisoning, when house looked at her eyes and found the distinct copper ring around her irises, called kayser-fleischer rings. treatment is chelation, not steroids or antihistamines

It's how Christians who aren't blind fundamentalists and actually believe in science embed science into their faith. They believe that scientific and technological advancement is a grace from God and should be respected.
Its not discounting human achievement, its more like divine intervention was involved to get you to change your attitude, or to meet other people that need your help as much as you need their help. Like maybe you were stuck in large amounts of traffic to keep you from being in a horrible crash, or maybe god made you decide to turn left and run into someone you never would have otherwise met.
PROTIP: do not be gentle like that if you’re doing cpr. You need to contract the heart as much as you can at a steady rhythm, and you need to push through the rib cage and sternum. Also don’t hum “another one bites the dust” out loud, that’s the song we learned to keep tempo when I got certified.
It's hilarious how House started out so nice/attentive in Season 1, then became more and more of a jackass over time, hahaha. Usually it's the other way around.
Something I liked about season 6 and before the 7th season’s finale was the fact that House was slowly returning to his roots and becoming nicer to the people around him. One of my favorite moments was when he gave his neighbor a mirror box to help him with his phantom pain.
I honestly wonder if the reason for that was "we want to show his increasing level of misery and pain" or if it was just "people liked it when House is sarcastic, so we need to make more of that"
Allergy build-up is real. I was in the Royal Air Force and a Crew Chief on Nimrods (large maritime aircraft). One of my colleagues was doing a start up, where the Crew Chief is on an intercom outside and talking to the aircrew as they start up and exercise their various systems prior to take-off. All of a sudden he just dropped to the floor. A group of us rushed over and I continued the start while the others dealt with him (CPR, calling medics). Long story short there wasn't much he wasn't allergic to, his body had just been coping for 45 years and suddenly decided enough was enough. He was medically discharged and sentenced to a life of only eating a few foods like boiled white fish and goats milk.
