For this edition of “Beauty of Japanese Swords”, I visited Matsue City in Shimane Prefecture.
Matsue City is a popular city with its historic townscape and status as a city of water, centered around the national treasure that is Matsue Castle.
In this episode, I was introduced to the charms of Matsue through its cultural heritage and history.
In Part 2, the symbol of Matsue, Matsue Castle (a national treasure), the culture of the castle town, the traditions of tea and sweets, and the natural hot springs that can be enjoyed in the wonderful scenery are introduced.
