This makes it so you can get any mod straight from bonelab. After this one time use of a file explorer you never have to use one again. You can get mods while in the game. I hope my explanation made sense.
You’re an absolute chad for figuring this out. Only thing that sucks with this method is you can’t sort or filter the mods in any way, or search for something specific

For people having a hard time saving the txt file after editing it just save the edited txt file somewhere on your pc then delete the original txt file, after that just move the edited one back into the bonelab files

The thing is, I have a family headset. That means that I have multiple accounts with app sharing on the headset, and every time I switch accounts developer mode turns off. So I don't have a way to get mods sadly.
Pretty sure most Oculus Quest 2's have a built in file explorer nowadays. And even then you can still do this with a pc if you just plug it in. No dev mode or anything needed.

Needing a phone or computer basically makes the reasoning for no vids on the issue. Still. You make a good tutorial. Personally I don't care enough to use an extra device though. There are good apps that can help and you don't need extra devices.

I tried to do it with my phone the other day, but the file explorer just wouldn't go into my "Unknown sources" tab. I can sideload games with my phone and that kind of stuff, but it just won't let me.. Do you know any reason why??
Guys there’s another way to do it first download sidequest on a pc or laptop Once it’s downloaded open it and on the top right or left press the toolbar plug in ur quest 2 and scroll down to enable Bonelab mods then restart ur quest 2 and ur good.

I did not expect this to be that easy and video was great at teaching straightforward and to the point. Edit: no longer having problem.
