  • Over the next 40 months, former NBA champion Glen Big Baby Davis, will be either serving time in a federal prison, or under heavy supervision should he receive an early release into house arrest, followed by another 3 years of supervised release for an NBA health plan fraud case, that convicted him and others of filing false medical claims that never happened receiving the payout of for it anyway . Meaning entering his 40s, Davis will likely be behind bars for a health insurance fraud case involving at least 18 former NBA players, including past stunted growth features Sebastian Telfair, Terrence Williams, Keyon Dooling and now Glen Davis. Terrence Williams who was considered the ring leader in this case was actually sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in 2023, Big Baby the second most time of the rest of the players. Glen Davis had the head start to becoming an outstanding player on the court, and celebrated role model off of it, that showed through his years in college and making the NBA that dreams do come true for less fortunate kids with a goal and a work ethic. Unfortunately the story doesn’t stop with making it there, you have to protect what you’ve worked for, and make sure you aren’t becoming a negative statistic future hoopers will have to know what not to do. For these reasons. Glen Davis Going To Prison For Fraud! “No More Hamburgers”? Stunted Growth

Just my two cents, but putting someone in jail for this is asinine. I’m all for punishment and retribution for his actions but it seems unproductive as hell for society to put people who commit offences like this in jail. Hefty fines, service to society and/or those he perpetrated against along with other more productive means of “rehabilitation” seem far more appropriate. I ain’t trying to downplay what he did, just see no benefit from wasting a few years of the man’s life. No doubt to make an example.

@@BiggieTrismegistus if you’re not a threat to anyone, prison shouldn’t be the mode of punishment. Waste of resources when you can put the man to better use in his “rehabilitation”. So my answer is probably no amount justifies prison UNLESS it had a profound impact on someone else.
