- I did not expect to see an announcement of The Division 3 today but it was a welcome surprise nonetheless. It was about time Ubisoft did something bigger with this franchise again.

I really hope they go back to a winter setting in Division 3. The mood just felt so much more desolate with the snow, and just how quiet it would get sometimes. I also think it would be cool to have part of the map be the countryside whilst still having a major city.
I'm sure they will try to deliver what they showed and promised at division in e3 2013

I GENUINELY hope that Div3 will be as dark and grimy as Div1. Div2 was kinda neat to get a different landscape, but the cold and dark atmosphere in Div1 was what made it so goddamn perfect.
The Division 3 should definitely be set in London. Can't get more "dark and grimy" than post apocalyptic, rainy, grey UK.
Seeing how they messed up TD2 at the end; seemingly changing the story ending last minute to be able to stretch the game out even longer and only faking support of the game with uninteresting updates, and seeing how the reason for developing TD3 seems to be mainly financial, I don't expect this to be good. I really hope it will surprise me though.

Bring back the icy fog. that is what I really miss. low visibility, surrounded by level 20 enemies trying to sneak into a safe house with a level 5 character. That was some nervous shit.

I just hope the darkzone will have the incredible atmosphere like the first game, no other game has been able to replicate that, the sheer unpredictability and the high risk high reward nature of it, not knowing who is friendly, extracting and seeing players appear out of the snow storm, I'm honoured to have been able to experience the original game in its prime.

The first 2 months of Division (1) was amongst the most fun I have ever had gaming with my friends. The absurdly gamebreaking, weekly exploits that were discovered and then abused for hours with almost zero upgrades (because loot was that bad) will be among my greatest memories. The greats, for the nostalgic, include: The ever resurrecting Bullet King who couldn't even be stopped by patches; rolling through closed doors, gates, and fences; macroing primary weapon swaps for 10 minutes so you could 1 shot the apc with explosive bullet true damage; clipping through walls with mobile cover; and triggering the Hornet fight so your buddies who were outside the mission area could mow him down and then dying to mobs so you could get loot every couple minutes (that was 99.9% worthless purple trash still). Good Times glad they are doing another one. Seriously the ambience of the first one was amazing. One of my favorite game series.
Don't forget about wall glitches, teleports, rpm glitch, 1 shot shotguns and skill builds, invisibility glitch.

the mobile cover defense mod making anyone on the cover basically invincible. M1A's bugged so they didnt have any hitbox bloom. Using mobile cover to glitch out the ladder animations so you still kept climbing after passing the top of the ladder and then climbed through the street.

As broken as the game was, it was the most fun I had ever in a video game.

I pray it does, honestly div 2 messed up a lot, but the dark zone is what had it the worse off
I mean who the hell thought 3 separated dark zones was a good idea? All that does is fragment the playerbase and makes it feel rare to run into other players
@@flamingscar5263I know right! They just need to make fairly large, really in-depth darkzone. That and pvp should be the main endgame alongside the super high lvl raids.
I couldnt really get into Div 1 cause i hated the rpg elements but damn the DZ was amazing...
i remember going into it for the first time and the atmosphere was so good it truely felt like it was a area of pure chaos and uncertainty with riches and danger around every corner
No other game will ever come close to recreating the thrill and atmosphere that the original darkzone had anytime soon, especially at launch.
Division 2 is such a good step forward for me (gameplay-wise), however Division 1 has an extremely special place in my heart. The cold, dark, unforgiving winter; the different factions ranging from desperate Rioters to professional killers like the LMB absolutely sold the environment and story. I love the setting, the Incursions, the alternate game modes like Survival and Underground, and really really hope Massive can sprinkle that magic in Division 3!
I hope they return to the Snowed-over aesthetic for The Division 3.
It was something that I could identify as “that’s the division” when I saw the orange markers glowing through a snowstorm.
The sunny, humid, green aesthetic of D2 just didn’t do it

What about changing seasons and weather ingame?
Everyones callin back for the gloomy winter motif (which it wasnt just the winter vibe but also the light "icy" depiction of the ISAC UI that contributed to the divisions tone.
Kinda like how some people have simmered on the watch dogs downgrade and miss the Chicago gloomy vibe and tone over all the color of W_D 2 despite its improvements

Disagree. That Snowed-over asethic works for Division 1 due go the timing of the events in that game. Division 2 atmosphere is way different. Just cause you throw some snow over sht doesn't mean it'll feel good.

Still remember the first time heading into the first ever dark zone in the beta. The feeling and atmosphere was just insane. Definitely the most fun I had in a long, long time.

I started playing d1 when I was 28 working in NYC. I worked in the city all day, took the train home, and jumped right into the DZ. I think I put like 4K hours into that game (and regret none of it). My sentiment is the same as yours Marco - I couldn’t stay interested in d2 for more than a few months but recently jumped back in (years later) and gotta say there was a ton to do and it was a lot of fun - it kept me glued for about 6 months. Now 8 years later I’m an old man but am still excited as fuck about this announcement. I really hope you cover the game because honestly you not covering d2 was part of the reason I didn’t enjoy it. I think you’re way too talented of a RUclipsr to post so infrequently. I get needing to love what you do but sometimes you gotta post things just for us :).

I started playing this game, and thus watching your channel, when I was 14 years old. Now I am watching this video from my full time job, 10 years later. There is a lot of nostalgia when Marco and division unite.

Man I really hope they build off the first one and take the most out of what people loved the most, going from Division 1 to 2 was such a letdown, 3k hours in Division 1 and I still play it til this day, I really hope they pull this off 👍🏻

1.8 was excellent and made PVE/PVP be as close to great as it could be.
I honestly forgot about this channel until I decided to look into if TC The Division 3 is in the works and looked into the steam discussions on TC The Division 2 and someone mentioned this familiar name glad you're still uploading even if its rarely. As for why now I think its because most of their other IP's and even New IP's like Avatar have been subpar so they are gonna go back to what worked in the past and sadly will probably find a way to fck that up. Resubbed btw

They need to take the dark dreary cold from Division 1 and combine that with Division 2's complex build formula. Division 1 was a rough start but it did alot of things right that did NOT carry over into Division 2. It's as if they tried to reinvent the wheel after Division 1. Granted, Division 2 has added alot of great things to do and see and I enjoyed the Manhunts. But they NEED to focus on environment/atmosphere from Division 1 that made it unique and fun to be involved in solo or with a group. I hope this turns out more like Division 1 in terms of that but I hope it has some of the content we got in Division 2. Also, compared to Bungie who has a much larger resume, I give more forgiveness to Massive because this was their REAL BIG hitter release for their company in my eyes. YES, they had issues like you stated, but summed it up thanks haha!
EDIT: ALSO, I think Division 2 in WA would've been better IF (HEAR ME OUT) IF they made it a parallel timeline to when the outbreak happened. Same season. Different stories told from other Agents across the country. Would've been a fresh start to nail the story a bit better too because let's face it: Division's story hasn't been the most compelling. But, ultimately for me, gameplay and environment/atmosphere are King. Then story telling.
Man i remember playing the Alpha back in Dec 2015, I was so hyped for the Division 1. I was a senior in HS and remember when it came out just grinding it and having a blast. Miss those days.
I remember it kept getting pushed back for like 2-3 years before it finally came out. lol

amazing the div2 is still one of my favorite games the game play mechanics are wonderfull and the possibilitys to build diffrent speccs 5+ fr but sadly end game was to rough for our guild so many left ive done both raids and they are tricky i got my hopes up for div 3

Best times i had in div1 and darkzone ... then they facked everything up with patches and fixes etc..... always followed Marco and he had the best division videos. Devs should ask him for tipz 👌👍
You’re still a rockstar and you are the number one go to a guy in the division for anything knowledge related, build videos knowledge of mechanics everything ran, and not to mention your epic our long, you know, killing spree‘s in the dark zone. I mean other guys for clip videos together I can do that you would actually have an unbroken string of kills for long periods of time. It was epic.
I was there when you were doing those Div1 videos. I gotta say, I love the franchise and all, but the game needs to be good... div 2 is a good game but not insanely amazing as you said, same for div 1.. but the experience they acquired and also learning from past projects and competitor projects might lead to an insane game. Wahoo!!! Other than ESO, Division 1 & 2 are my most played games, roughly 1,400/1,700hrs respectively. l Had so much fun with these. If they are just starting Div3, then I wouldn't expect it until 2027.
I still remember the closed/open beta in the DZ...the friends and enemies that were made, it was something else.

Lets also remember that these games do sell well. They may not live service well but both 1 and 2 sold well, even if 2 for some reason was considered a failure at 10 million sold. That is still A LOT of money. And I'm sure the live services of both game made them more. So it makes sense to keep the franchise going even if it can't seem to maintain players after launch. They're just good solid games.
Next video you should do is how you would do PvP in this game or even if PvP is possible in those type of games

It was probably just nostalgia, but I always felt like Div 1 had something Div 2 didn't. My friends and I played the HELL out of that game, and even had this yearly tradition where we'd end up going back to it and grinding it for like 2 weeks again. But in Div 2, nobody in my friend group even hit level 30 before we dropped the game, nor did we ever feel the desire to return to it like we always did with Div 1. Hoping that Div 3 can recapture that element Div 1 had
