Destiny 2 LFG Raids are STILL a disaster

- After the 2 colossal failures that were my 'Vault of Glass' & my 'Vow of the Disciple' day 1 runs, I thought it was time to put on the training wheels again. In the videos the best of the best players that Destiny 2 has to offer attempt to help me learn more about raiding... or... that was the idea of the video...

i feel so embarrassed, im not the best at explaining things but i try my best to teach people. sorry for the rough run 😅
yours seemed the most fun though, people take games too seriously sometimes
dude don't worry, everyone including myself had a blast.
Yours seemed the most fun one, ppl come to raiding for chill fun, i could see your group had the best time, lot of respect for trying to teach one of the hardest raids.
Vibe Check is very important so don’t worry you took a huge dub.
W sherpa
The guy screaming burger when he was fighting 1 taken thrall had me in bits..... 😂
Yesssss
cheeeeseburgeeeeeeer
Bro that easily was the best part hahaha I am in tears. Comedy gold
I'm 100 percent using cheeseburger as a code for when my shit is getting rocked from now on xD
I just pissed my self when I was watching that moment. Everybody tried to figure out symbols with cheeseburger on background 😆
I love how Marco was wearing the class item from Vow while saying he needs to learn Vow
*Rivensbane title*
"Hey guys can someone teach me Last wish?"
I once went to a teaching DSC saying that i need to be taught, and used eyes of tommorow on 3rd encounter, noone noticed
@@gabrielpineirogarcia2078 I did that once lmao
I have a clan member that specifically does that while wearing the full armor from the raids with the raid exotics
@@zacholson6322 well... I knew the DSC raid but I wasn't confident in what I knew and went to get taught but the teacher was Terrible and teaching everyone the convoluted way of doing it all, so I Hijacked his class, everyone had a less stressful time after that.
This was like 3 days after DSC was released.
Marco is the reason why I'm always the best a sherpa can be. I'm not trying to be caught in 4K lmao
My clan team was missing one person a few weeks back and we got a random LFG. Dude did pretty good but by the third encounter in Vow he was so high he forgot what symbols were. Shit was wild.
That's kinda funny, because about a week ago or so my friend went and found an LFG for Vow and the next day he was talking about it and how he was stoned the whole time. Honestly sounds like a pretty similar experience to what he had but I'm not sure if the time-frame lines up. Would be funny if it was actually him though lol.
@@shreknskrubgaming7248 Sadly no, this was about 3 weeks ago :D It was a wildly smooth run otherwise, he just forgot what symbols were on the first reading of third encounter. That was our only wipe.
I was doing a raid with 3 friends and 3 lfg and 1 dude took a shot every time we wiped and another dissapeared mid final encounter because apperently his dog busted down his door and ran into traffic so he had to go get him. shit was wild
I was once running through garden with some friends and had a guy disappear in the middle of 3rd encounter be to get “snackies.” He was high out of his mind
@@genj0u170 snackies are important, you gotta have some on deck.
Much respect for the teachers involved who took the time to get through the raids. Never understood why people dropped like flies.
That cheeseburger sequence had me rolling.
Next time I do Last Wish, totally stealing that.
Omg that's gonna be my safe word. When doing raids
WHEN WE NEEDED HIM MOST, HE RETURNED
Remember, his form is lacking! XD
Until his next “I’m done with Destiny” video
@@NyoMurdi lmao
I miss Ed
He’s like Superman. He can hear the community’s screams of anguish.
Cheers to all the sherpas that put up with me in VOG, Crota's End, King's Fall, WOTM, Leviathan, EOW, GOS and Last Wish. You guys made Destiny worth it. :)
It truly is an experience
I was so bad at oryx back in the day
Honestly the vibe is everything, i rarely sit through full raids because too many people are just unable to have a laugh
Man i wish i could get people like those people early on in the last wish
I'm like the guy who fits the vibe
If it's a serious group I'm serious if everyone is laughing and having a good time I get chill and join in
@@efhawkgaming must be nice
Yeah the vibe is super important. I rarely leave raids but if the vibe is just too off I'm not sticking around. Wayyy too many people take raiding super seriously and it's never fun to find those groups
Idk if its the same in d2 but raids were the most fun shit in the game w the right team i was literally sweating from laughter in vog labyrinth
Oh man this is such a good representation of LFG and the parts I love/hate. Sometimes just vibing with strangers and floating along a raid as a side gig is exactly what you want, but other times you just want to get the raid done and get your loot.
I would love to see more of these or videos in this style.
when you get a group filled with beauties it's all worth it. i remember i played an lfg dsc with some good ol boys from the oil fields. hell of a time. buddy stayed up all night and our last attempt before he had to go to work we killed tanis while he was enraging. good times with the boys.
I honestly never saw him as a top raider… I just loved his funny moments… they were enough for me🙂
And his edits
@@spankthatshank7568 indeed, and his edits
that's the joke.
People just take this game waaaay to seriously lmao
Everything about Sammy in Vow and the entire Vault part in LW was just GOLD 😂😂
yo caleb!! when r u raiding votd with the bois??
This reminded me back when I did my first Scourge: at the pre-boss, the sherpa crashed and we all five newbies did the encounter first try.
I was amazed by his way of teaching, we managed even without his presence. We had a blast, ngl.
When we needed him most he returned. Even though I quit destiny awhile ago I still enjoy watching this content from Marco. These raid videos are golden 🤣
POV: Marco the only dude on the planet to uno reverse an April fools…
I would like to personally thank Revan Host for the motivation behind making Marco do this video. Shout out to him!
Really good content as per the usual good job
Lfg hasn't been that bad for me in vow, I join groups that don't say "kwtd" or say chill because they usually are more patient people. Also vow has no huge cheese and every player will have to learn the mechanics if you want to clear it. You can throw people on ad clear in like first or second encounter but everyone is going to have to know the symbols well enough and everyone is going to have to pick up relics.
You can tell that sammy didn't know the symbols because they were never in a position were they had to read, the first encounter is literally perfect for that
@@mitzi3262 ima stop ya there at theres no breaking glitches from infinite timers to solo doorses to infinite final stands the raid is destroyed to the point if you want to break its very easy problem is there arnt people who want to learn the raid just carried
@@btr1011 that's how I feel as well. People want 5 people to spend an extra hour+ out of their time to teach every aspect of the raid rather than just taking it on themselves to watch a simple 20 min vid on RUclips beforehand.
I usually have a pretty keen eye on what “KWTD” posts to click on, though sometimes I get those rotten apples that just suck at being decent human beings.
@@boneidle8420 and this is why I put KWTD in my posts
Please keep doing these Marco. I was laughing my ass off
7:56 that’s truly how things should be done! Not only do the show an example before starting the encounter, they also LET YOU LEARN without just throwing you on Ad Clear and calling it a day.
Hands down the best of the 3 teachers.
jkuzi was an awesome Sherpa he helped me with getting my divinity in GoS. Explained everything clearly and was super chill and if you wanted to compare sherpas you should’ve made the raids the same between all three. DSC is a mechanically easier raid that requires less players to know what they’re doing.
Every LFG I’ve experienced, and I’ve only experienced LFG from D1’s VoG to now D2’s Vow, the only bad groups were if people quit after one wipe, or refused to change their ways whether their build or how they’re approaching mechanics. Working together with people you don’t know is all about compromise, the willingness to work together, change if necessary, and in general just play to have a good experience. Not to be too serious of course, it’s a video game. It’s not about getting it done as fast as possible; in LFG, it’s about finding people similar to you who have no team to play with and facing a challenge with them.
Have a great day, Guardians.
This vid is a perfect representation of lfg, you’ll get 1 that’s absolutely miserable, 1 that’s just an ok run with little or a couple mishaps, then 1 where the stars align and everyone is able to practically flawless it
I’m the flawlessly one but my friend will be absolutely dog shit I love him still but bro doesn’t know what to do after doing the raid 10 times still
Marco you’re absolutely right, as a raid Sherpa I agree that providing an environment conducive to learning is the most important thing for a sherpa run. I mean we’re all trying to have a good time in the end so making sure that good time applies to the knew players is important as well.
Wish I had a Sherpa like that I barely do raids and when I do I just get put on add clear and I still don’t understand the encounters 😞
@@rickyrowell7411 just put yourself out there and you’ll get more comfortable with each run, learning the ins and outs of each encounters and feeling comfortable trying new things, you got this gamer
@@rickyrowell7411 i got u
It's refreshing to see content like this again, may not see it all the time, probably 1 every season but it will be very much worth it seeing Destiny 2 content like this
4:43 I wasn't ready for this. LOL
So my first comment was at the beginning of the video - the end of the video was classic. Loved it. Having been doing VoW sherpas, as well as all the others - it was cool to see the different styles. You were dead on with the vibe check. I get so sick of the toxicity and the KWTD attitudes - it was nice to see some good community still standing.
Hope I bump into you sometime in the D2-verse. I ran Garden a few times, never finished it, finally ran it to get Div and had some asswipe tell me, "I've looked at your raid report and you've got a lot of room for improvement." I'm like, bro, I've literally been raiding for 2 months out of the last 2 years, meanwhile - Conqueror x3. Thanks for what you do, keeping it light, and encouraging people to be better people in the game.
I do 5-man sherpas all the time and its definitely stressful. Most of the time i get teenagers who arent focused or serious about learning. Sometime they make fun of me for being too serious all the time. And sometime I get people really grateful for what im doing for them. I love when my teaching runs are actually helpful to people.
MARCO YOURE BACK. omg this will keep me from giving up this semester and pushing on !!
Legit riven is so worth the experience. One of the best boss encounters in the destiny franchise.
Yeah kinda long though when you done it multiple times, like it was fun the first 3 times but the rest it’s just boring and samey, but I mean I guess it helps the raid a lot you have the option to get done if your just there for loot but if your just tryna have fun you can do legit
It’s kinda rare to find people who teach it legit nowadays I’ve always wanted to do it legit but everyone opts for the cheese just for the ease of it.
Thanks Marco :)
This is a masterpiece. That ending had me dying.
I felt like the deep stone sherpa sounded very familiar... so I went and checked my first ever raid report clear on DSC, and he taught my group as well!
Need more content creators like you which aren't just stream highlights
This was....super fun to watch! I love that you showed the different LFG styles that Sherpas give you! Shout out to the sherpas who pulled it through on these raids!!
I fucking new it I FUCKING KNEW IT XD
Marco your videos actually gave me the confidence to use the LFG and surprisingly, I found a nice group that helped me through GoS and to get divinity, taught me the mechanics without cheesing. Just wanted to say thanks dude. Love the vids.
Ngl glad ur doing more D2 content. U were the funniest to watch do raids with skeepy
Hopefully you'll upload more Destiny content, I like to see positive interactions with Raids and the community like this, I missed your D2 vids.
“Oh you’re Dutch too?”
Gotta love how there’s always that one person who immediately says “Deutschland”.
Good seeing Marco getting back into destiny videos slowly 😎❤️
I'm so glad you encountered the sheer pain and awkwardness I had LFG'ing raids before finding my current friend group.
My MAN, MarcoStyle, after so many years.. HAS RETURNED. He's back, ladies, gentlemen, and all other creatures. He's here.
honey wake up, marco style uploaded a new vid
Oh my, I have tears from laughter. This is one of the best so far.
Really good content and editing as usual. I just wanted to add that it really bugs me personally when people say “use whatever you feel is best” when you ask for a specific load out, and proceeds to complain about your damage
This is one of your best videos in awhile. Great idea, and some luck with getting some wacky sherpas lol. I do a ton of Sherpas and we always ask the new players if they want to do mechanics or not, or how much they want then go from there. Some people do benefit from doing ad clear on one run so they have time to see the room layouts and just the flow of the raid. The difference is we tend to bring people into the clan and sherpa, so they get multiple runs in each week so we can build from there instead of releasing an ad clear bot into the wild of LFG lol.
Marco, by the power of his own hands, has gone from the king of raids to the Sherpa 🐐🤣
Dude, this is one of the best Destiny videos I've ever watched. Love this content.
Marco you have to continue making destiny 2 videos, man you are funny AF lmaooooo
I can't with him yelling "Cheeseburger" as they try and get the symbols right
weather its a week, and month, 1/2 a year, your content is always worth waiting for Marco!
My first run of VoW I had a Sherpa and 4 guys learning it. It took us a little long to beat it but that Sherpa was a saint. Explained the mechanics clearly, everyone was chill. Got the foundation so now I’m 12 runs in and love helping people clear VoW now.
I’d love some help. I was out at the beginning of the season due to Elden Ring. I haven’t stepped foot in VoW. I’m on playstation.
Edit: I’ve cleared every other raid in D2 history I should add.
Classic Marco is back.
Trolling noobs. Killing team mates. Wiping on ‘purpose’.
I love it. Welcome back. 💙
I ve watched all the videos of other people making content on destiny, but marco's videos are always the most polished and honestly the most rewatchable out of all of them.
Holy shit I lost it at 1:20 my god man
This video made me smile Marco. Thank you for you hard work, it's appreciated!
Had tried once to sherpa in DSC and it was kinda unbearable but got it done, salute to all those sherpas that teach everyone!!
P.s. for all those new players, please atleast make sure to familiarize yourself on the raid through video guides and have a mic to atleast help a sherpa :)
"Who gave this guy the grand wizard role bro?!"
Marco you see some insane and absurd "requirements" for the LFG
Yooo Marco, amazing!
I think I saw that message from jjaro and was intimidated out of joining lmao
you've given me a new respect for raid teachers. this was awesome to watch
idk if it’s just me but having an LFG team that puts a post up saying KWTD QUICK RUN (or something along those lines) is what actually helpful-I’m not trying to spend hours in a raid with people who don’t know what they’re doing. It’s literally not that hard to search up a raid tutorial and take some notes bruh
Honestly I wouldn't have guessed the vibe check being so important but once I think about it, yeah you're 100% correct
I'm sorry for failing u in DSC :(
hmmmmmm that’s why I just focus on my self. Because I used to play with quite a few friends and they just disbanded me left me and maybe blocked me all because I wasn’t having a good day playing crucible and I was complaining about shottys and better players defeating me. And they said “I complain too much”
I actually Jjaro in my friends list I remember him acting really legit so him in this video he still seems to be really legit.
these are the marco videos i love, the stylish, detailed and almost investigative journalism, Marco is known for. just missing the graphs.
My guy murdering Sammy the whole run was gold x)
Funniest video I have seen in awhile about LFG .I'm putting this in the group chat lol 🤣🤣🤣
Holy shit the vow team was so toxic I can't watch
I love joining learning groups just for fun, it's one of the best experiences in Destiny when you help other people learn raids imo.
S tier content, Marco. 😂
On the other hand, what is Vanara’s problem with Sammy? 🤨
He was just being so damn toxic to her in every encounter. Unless they’re friends, I don’t get it.
They have to be friends if not then he’s just hella rude
@@sunshotwithanornament2475 Exactly. Dude was just being a jerk half the time. Not sherpa material in my eyes.
they are friends, and sammy often said that she finds vanaras toxic comments more funny than annoying so dont worry they are just good friends
@@AvatarBowler not just your eyes bro, not Sherpa material
Were just good friends its all jokes haha.
The LW raid was the most enjoyable "CHEESEBURGER" 😂😂
But good job Jjaro actually teaching and letting blueberries do encounters.
Oh dear, I am so weird 😂
That may be, but you're also one of the funniest.
props for jkuzi the only taking it serious and keeping it chill
I raid with Jjaro he's big brain
The first clip on Acquisition in VotD genuinely made me laugh sooooo hard
3:40 to 4:20
Sammy carried you
😎
Oh, also, this makes me very appreciative of our resident clan Sherpa krpytoknight for being such a good teacher (altho he sometimes rushes when our clanmates who know joke around)
Vibe is top priority. I try to only join groups that have "chill" in the title. I'd rather spend 2 hours in a raid having a laugh than spend 20 minutes with a group of people who take everything seriously and can't take a joke
*wipes twice*
"alright guys I forgot I have a... I gotta.."
*Leaves*
The “is teir 8 resil hood for this encounter” and the response made this video great
The only raids I’ve done is last wish and DSC when 12 man raids/strikes were a thing for short time. I’ve never done VoG, VoD or any of the other raids because most of the time when I find a raid LFG post saying “ willing to teach” or “ teaching raid join, must have 0 clears “ or “ 1st time raiders join anyone welcome ” etc. then when I join it turns into a experience I’m no longer interested in because as soon as I join, the person who created the LFG doesn’t even invite you. They send a message saying - must join my discord, then it turns into come to my twitch channel and follow me and interact with chat to enter the raffle for a “chance” to join this raid experience….
Vault of glass is very noob friendly. I still struggle with oracles a little bit, but I’ve completed that raid a lot. Vow however looks way ways more complex. I’d start with Vog if I were you. There’s some good teams out there man. If I had a big group I played with I’d invite you, but sadly it’s just me lol.
Yo I teach vog 3 times a week no requirements other then have a mic and be willing to learn. my bungie I'd is Trip_Atomz1243#5516. If u wanna bring a snack pac and some raid banners too its appreciated but not necessary. Lol
The dude screaming CHEESEBURGER is the best bit, had me laughing way too hard

These kind of elitist destiny players are EXACTLY what drive people away from the game.
Agreed. I'll admit I lose my cool when teaching Exhibition in VoW, but I never quit and I always apologize as I'm still scarred spending 15 hours on that encounter alone during contest mode.. But I'm always down to do a Sherpa run for helping people new to a raid to help them get some decent loot.
I mean Tbf people like this exist for every game. From what I’ve seen in LFG, Destiny is actually pretty tame compared to others when it comes to toxicity.
@@fyrusgrey5153 I would agreed if it was destiny 1 but nah destiny 2 the Chernobyl meltdown of toxic now if not on par with warcraft toxic
@@fyrusgrey5153 The difference between this and other games is that most games don't absolutley require LFG. Most game still allow pugs AND have LFG IN THE GAME. Destiny for some reason absolutely requires discord which in turns helps promote toxicity.
@@titanjakob1056 Really? I only have a bad experience maybe 1 out of every 10 times I use it, and I’m not being generous with those numbers. I always find consistency, a few trolls every once in a while but never anyone super toxic.
I thought D1 was worse tbh, much more elitist.
"I found some pretty colors on the floor." This is the funniest damn thing I've heard all day! Love this stuff!
We wouldn’t have a problem as a community if everyone had the mindset “I’m not gonna be a liability and I am not gonna be the reason we wipe” then we wouldn’t have a problem
My favorite D2 raid experience I was doing VOG through LFG hadn't run VOG since d1 joined the game didn't know I had voice chat muted but we still got to atheon before I figured it out
Jjaro #1, Neurotic clan on top, 1 like and I post his discord
you have really captured the highs and lows of lfg raiding here lol. honestly such an accurate picture. gotta love when you get a group that passes the vibe check though.
Yay, new MarcoStyle content, that is somehow classic even before it was uploaded.
Dude those first 2 minutes and 56 seconds are golden and immaculate. This why I watch MarcoSTYLE.
The best thing about LFGs is being chill. The others were hilariously disastrous
Probably my most brain dead lfg request was when I was half awake, doing the legend campaign and posted “lf2 for solo legend campaign”
I wish Scourge was still around to teach that, I absolutely loved teaching it to people even when it was surprisingly common for people to not know the alphabet or CAP. Apart from being incredibly fun for me, I enjoyed that everyone could do something, and if you wanted to go faster you could get more involved. Plus, I've always been good at Sparrow racing so it's fun to ditch everyone during that section.
Damn I haven't done a true sherpa Raid since Spire. I'm gonna have to get back on that. Great vid Marco!
