The talk on electric fencing reminded me of a Will Rogers quote. “There are 3 kinds of men: the ones who learn by reading. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence & find out for themselves.”

Jason I love the mini truck!! I look for it in every video. I told my sons I am getting one. It looks fun to drive. I still think it needs a custom paint job or wrap, Sow the Land and hippie flowers. I also loved seeing Penelope driving it. She did great!

Enjoy your shop talk so much...learn so much...have 4 acres that we "homestead"... no animals, but our land provides our income...turned an old body shop into a storage facility and camper, boat and storage unit area...take care of the land...tree pruning, grass cutting and and general maintenance. Have a large garden and it provides us with lots of lovely food. Am a 71 year old female, and am always looking and listening for ways to make this job easier. We are blessed with good tenants and have seasons like you do...summer, busy and winter down time. Raised four son's and this lovely chat is very satisfying...had thoughts of chickens...May take the plunge! Take care...so enjoy your adventures!!! 🍃💟🍃

A lot more births at a full moon. I'm planning on staying home and not going out. It probably won't be anything in Alabama. When I was a little girl there was a solar eclipse and they said the next one would be in 2024. My mother said I would be 64. I was thinking that it so far away and I couldn't imagine being that old. And here it is. I am 64😊

The stronger your ground, the better your fence.
When we made the second from the bottom wire ground, it took a bit of set up, but we doubled the hit our fence gave, especially when we had snow.

I've been watching all three of you guys since y'all started your own RUclips channel. I think it's pretty cool what you're doing together on this podcast and look forward to it every week. I love the animal segments the most probably except I realized it's watching the family work and grow together. I mean Ben and Meg saved their family and grew it larger and closer together buggy is so precious..
Jason you have come such a long way with your health journey. Thanks to the good Lord.
Al you've come along way from that dominecker rooster in the apple orchard and building the chicken tractor videos to what y'all are building on the new land.
So I think it's all of you with love for your family that keeps me watching y'all's videos because our society has gotten so far from family values. We just can't get that on TV anymore because it doesn't sell there and that's sad.
So keep up the good work and God bless you all

The Army had sent a 2 man filming crew down with us and what they filmed was crap out of focused my filming was perfect, wish there was You - Tube back then.

Can't wait to see a video of a pig doing backflips a la Ben's tale. Watching the one where the pig showed up at your door waiting for breakfast, Jason, cracks me up and is something out of a nursery tale; just can't remember the end of the story. Oh yeah, the barbeque ensues. "Barb le queue" = French for the whiskers (barbe) to the queue (the tail).

Here in south carolina (the upstate Greenville/Spartanburg) we had a total eclipse of the sun in 2017 and we had so many people here from out of town!!! It took me a while to drive home from work that day coz the roads were so full of out of towners. But according to Ryan Hall (a youtube weatherman) I think there is gonna be some kind of bad weather that day for some of the people in the path of the eclipse, so it may not be a viewable in those states with cloudy/bad weather. Thanks for the podcast guys. God loves you all. Jesus loves you all and died for you all. God bless you all, always.

We have a farm show called Half Century Progress Show. When Max Armstrong was alive he did the announcements. I was able to demo a single hand plow with 2 mules. It’s very challenging to keep the plow straight. Sure makes us appreciate what we have now.

I had a friend who worked as a "house parent" at a halfway house for young, male, juvenile offenders. He often had to call for backup whenever there was a full moon. It's definitely a thing.

(Can you tell I'm stopping the video to make comments?) My mom's dad used to plow their garden with a mule. She said that the only time she heard my grandfather cuss was when she was bringing him lunch and came into the clearing where he was plowing and the mule had stopped and refused to budge. After trying everything, he hit the mule in the forehead with a hammer (sorry PETA people) and the mule took off, plowing up the ground as he went! My grandad called the mule a cussword, then he went and got it and was as kind to the mule as he could be. The two of them went right back to plowing as if nothing had happened.
Also, when I was younger, I went to the Goshenhoppen (sp?) Festival in Quaker country in PA. I got to watch a team of men harness up a team of 12 oxen!! It was the highlight of the trip!

One more, and then I'll quit. My mom used to say "H/She doesn't know from..." and I thought she followed that with, "Adam's aw fox." I found out many years later she was saying, "He doesn't know from Adam's off ox." She explained, "When you have two oxen in a team, only one of them has to be trained. The "off ox" didn't know come here from sic 'em (another old Texas saying.) It would pull with just as much strength as the trained ox, but it would go whichever way the trained ox would go. The commands were "Gee" and "Haw," for right and left. She figured that the saying "Adam's off ox" was the first and knew less than any of them.
