This is like a snow hurricane. Absolutely insane blizzard
It's like the Blizzard of 77......I was six then, and remember it well....This one is just as bad, maybe slightly worse...
Hi ethanwx have you become a flat earther yet? If not I suggest watch a 13 part series called _What on earth happened_ by Ewaranon to learn that the earth is not a globe. I got it in my about tab.
That's what I was thinking too lol
It was so much worse than a hurricane. I've been in both. I couldn't breathe in the blizzard conditions for a minute.
@@flat-earther If i made a 13 part series called "You're an idiot", would that be all it takes to convince you?
I'm in Buffalo NY... I live near Roswell & Buffalo General Hospital 🏥 this has tops any blizzard 🥶 I have ever seen in all my days. I hope everyone that is stuck in their cars, and/or without power are found safe and sound. I Pray 🙏 for Everyone all over the world. God Bless you all, and if no one told you they Love you today just know I do💗💖💗 Happy Holidays!!!

I’m 52 yrs old and live here in Mansfield,Ohio and never ever felt minus 35 wind chills in the air.brrrrrr.
No power for 3 days was as 1st for me I'm on the Eastside just came on at 5:30
In South Buffalo 2-3 additional feet of snow fell over night. Drifts are INSANE! Merry Christmas Reed and TY for the coverage. After the blizzard of 77 we were referred to as the "City of Good Neighbors." You have become a part of us now, great to see the rescues!
I have lived in Buffalo for 45 years, and this is by far the worst snow storm we have ever experienced. People have been found dead in the snow and dead in stranded cars. Tens of thousands of people are without power and heat! Streets are impassable with over 5ft snow drifts on them. Trees and power lines down everywhere! Keep us in prayer! Help from the National Guard is starting to arrive!
Merry Christmas hope you will get help
🙏 Buffalo, NY 🙏
What about now? It’s Tuesday night. 🙏🏽

Partly cloudy, not snowing. Cold but it's supposed to reach 50 degrees by Saturday.
77 blizzard was worse
This weather is terrible. I'm in Minnesota about a mile from Fargo ND and my girlfriend has been thrown off the road on her delivery route 4 times in 24 hours. It isn't even nearly as bad as Buffalo. I feel for the people up there. Hopefully everyone makes it through this terrible winter
Thank you
Praying for you guys. Sister from Maryland
This global warming is something to be reckoned with. Obammy and Joey warned us. Get that sunscreen before it's sold out. Those 2 guys are looking out for us. For real.
Why did your girlfriend risk her life for her job? It must be very important work in order to do that. I say this from experience during the blizzard of 78.
Does she have winter tires?
Store staff blew up air mattresses for the shoppers and served hot meals from the deli, says Heather Nickoli, who was en route from Ohio to Peterborough, Ont., with her boyfriend. Store workers also played music and gave people games to play.A total of 50 stranded customers and 48 staff spent the night. The unexpected Walmart stay came as a winter storm pummeled much of Ontario, Quebec and other parts of Canada. Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued weather alerts for most provinces and territories. well, hey, doesn't take much to show Christmas spirit all year round. When Police cannot even help it's wise to call a state of emergency. Merry Christmas for all involved in these events.
Climate Change🙄Not! More like weather manipulation from HAARP😡they been doing this to us for decades. Our Government is doing everything possible to either kill us and make our lives miserable!

Buffalo experienced two major blizzards in a three week span. Yikes!
Just one. The storm a few weeks back was just heavy lake effect snow without the wind
@@rhoma459 The last storm went up to more than three feet of snow.
@@DC322 Yep. Just pointing out that it wasn’t a blizzard, since it didn’t have high winds. This storm had winds of over 70mph and lasted for two days.
@@rhoma459 Yea he's right a blizzard has nothing to do with snow totals, you can have a blizzard with like 2 inches of snow fall and ground snow kicking up.
Yooooo the blizzard is happening right now ! It doesn't end 🥶
Yes I am heading back out there for another round!
We got it 2 days ago. It sucked
Winds finally died down enough today to snowblow. Drifts were like concrete
You'd think in Buffalo and places is like it that are so vulnerable to extreme weather would have buried their power lines by now! It SHOULD BE a PRIORITY!
And get snow capable vehicles added to their fleet.
Nope, they build bike paths, rails to trails and messed up streets creating weird bumped out corners.
@@biblemademedoit That's important, and the woke thing to do. Joey and Nancy approve.
Snow capable vehicles don't matter when there's 10 foot tall drifts of snow in the streets lol

Hi vc have you become a flat earther yet? If not I suggest watch a 13 part series called _What on earth happened_ by Ewaranon to learn that the earth is not a globe. I got it in my about tab.
You should see my street. It's a Tahoe outside all the way covered in snow. It's a good 6 feet of drifts out there. Not to mention we still have no power! Merry Christmas ⛄🎄
Some people dive into their work. Reed does a double backflip dive into 4 screw-downs with a no scope headshot into a banjo pluck.
As a truck driver I can tell you Buffalo gets snow like this and closes the interstates every winter.
Just another beautiful day in paradise here in WNY! This is third multi-foot snowfall we've had this winter, which began 3 days ago btw. The difference this time is the wind, gust to 79 mph measured in Lackawanna yesterday!
I believe the really heavy snow bands usually set up a bit South of Buffalo: This time Mo' Nature decided to shift the focus slightly North. So, this snow isn't unusual for the region, but, it's unusual for Buffalo itself.
I'd almost trade, though, IF we (Western KY) had the snow removal equipment: It was -9 F on my back porch last Friday morning. Wind chill was ~ -30. Good thing we don't have any large bodies of water to our immediate West!
@@SpringIsBACK I actually live in the "Southtowns" of the Buffalo area and you're correct, we are the traditional snow-belt area. We had the 80" snow fall a few weeks back while the city and North had on the order of inches or a foot.
My friends who live up there are now experiencing the brunt of this, although now it has shifted into our area and is supposed to give us another two to three feet of snow on top of what we already have. We're somewhat protected from really cold temps by the warmth of the lake but of course get all the extra snow as well.

I hear you. Last storm dumped 5 feet of snow in the parking lot of my apartment complex. I live in south Cheektowaga, my daughter lives in Niagara falls, they got 6 inches. But this time they got like 4 feet.
Looks like the apocalypse… maybe the snowpocalypse
BRO I drove thru buffalo and all of Michigan 11am-3am I was out pulling people all off 80-94 and side streets, just commuting to see my in-laws!
No lie that storm was WILD and absolutely the best one I have driven thru yet! lots of crashes and people unable to be helped but prayers sent and attempts made!
wife and kiddo just enjoying the wild snow!
we are moving to Alaska so it was a good test of our equipment without much risk!
You should buy a snow plow for winter storm chasing
Stay indoors peeps!!!! 🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥
Right? But, some people just won't. I've seen some pretty strange comments calling people stupid etc for "believing the hype this is a bad storm" and "what are you a sheep? Go out if you want to. They're just lying to you to control you." I don't know about some people anymore. Anyways, Merry Christmas! 🎄 Take care! ♥ from another person still in the middle of the blizzard in southern Ontario 🇨🇦
That is crazy!!
Appears that the power poles which were blown down had no real foundaion. Just a pad of some kind which did not extend very far into the ground. The snow drifts are about three feet deep in most places and maybe six feet deep in a few places.
Wow! Just unbelievable, what a rough winter already in Buffalo and it has just started!
The beginning is usually much worse than the end, but it wasn't always that way. February used to be a nightmare, before the jet stream shifted a few years back.

Thank you for coming to our city and braving this blizzard. We lost power the 1st day. Plus, we had 7 trees come down with that wind luckily they didnt hit the house.

Detroit had little accumulation. Cold and wind was the worst of it. Lake effect snow is rough.
You need a snowmobile, Reed.
Grew up in Buffalo... When it stormed....you could still walk to Mom and Pop taverns on every other corner! They were always open because the family lived upstairs! Great memories...but now will only visit in summertime...!
“Keep Buffalo a Secret” - yeah, not to worry, no one wants to live there after seeing this crazy weather!
The sad part is hat winter has just begun. Anyone from a cold state knows that winter is at its worst in late jan-feb
Luckily Lake Erie is freezing the worst snow totals are behind us now
@@DegeN.YNation Yes, as far as snowfall the colder it is(Jan-Feb) the better off we are regarding snowstorms, which are lake effect snow for the most part. Unfortunately it has warmed up significantly for the past few days and the snow is melting and keeping lake warm, seemingly recharging the snow machine.
Sending my thoughts and prayers to everyone in upstate NY. I left in 2003 and traded the snow for rain in the PNW. Stay safe everyone 🙏 ❤️
Comme dans certains films grave courage à la population
Can't believe that they have cars AWD instead of 4x4 trucks with snow tires & chains out in that weather, especially if they know that they have severe winters, we have bad winters here in the Yakima Valley in Washington State, and we pray for our Northeastern Neighbors! God bless and Godspeed! 🤲🏽😇🙏🏽🙌🏽✝️
I lived PNW and Upstate NY. Chains are very common in PNW, so many people keep them in their cars. In NY, no chains. People use AWD, and all season tires. It's crazy. I run snow tires and AWD. You see 4x4 trucks in the ditch the most. They think they invincible. They run crap tires, and spin out. Tires make the difference. Many drive AWD minivans , and some with snow tires, for the family to keep active all winter long.
Buffalo was once a nice place , about 120 years ago.
Thank You for Letting Us Know!

Sadly not all got rescued. It's up to 40 deaths so far. It's been 4 days since the snow stopped and clean up began and we are still finding people who didn't make it.

This makes the storm we saw in west Michigan look weak. I was stranded in 3ft snow banks was stuck in the middle of the road. Thank god crew could get to me with the county plow. If it happened here I don’t think I would have been so lucky…
I grew up in Buffalo dduring the 50's and 60's This is why I live in north Carolina now
I had to spend Christmas by myself in my apartment, with no heat and no hot water, because there's no way for me to get out of here right now. There's not even anywhere to walk to really.

Kudos to Reed for braving this and bringing this into our homes. We don't have to suffer through it. Feel so sorry for those affected. I would love a White Christmas but not with 15 ft snow drifts. BTW, I live in SC and have never experienced anything like this. We did have 18" of snow decades ago and it stayed around for far too long and lost its beauty. We have had lows of 11F the past few days. It's 15F now(Dec 25th, @7:30 AM, tks for nothing Santa)but feels like 8F with wind chill.
