im glad flowtrack have finally taken my advice! ive always said that race commentators should be replaced by petrol mowers. so much atmosphere.
The fact that he's a freshman is insane
There's nothing as inspiring as running behind a combustion-powered lawn mower. The race director needs to be re-assigned.

Ran a race this Saturday where they used a gator as the lead…not pleasant considering it was on a lot of loose dirt.
It’s a golf cart - and it’s not actually too terrible for most courses. Sometimes if it’s very dry and dusty it can be a nuisance tho
Conner ran a great race and he’s a true champion. Nico will have more than a few chances to prove his mettle. Conner owned Nationals and Nico got 4th. Super impressed with both athletes
Was the power drill unavailable to make more noise?

Mantz has 6 years on him. Nico is insane to keep the gap at 2.3 seconds

Mantz also took 2 years off from competitive running while Nico was training...
@@mwc8492 yes, 2 years off. Nico was 15, 16 years old.
@@ronaldbaker789 for sure. Nico is incredible, and I'm not taking from what he is accomplishing. I'm just pointing out Mantz has not been running competitively for 6 years longer than Nico...that isn't true by any means
Mantz also served an Lds mission for 2 years where he didn’t get to run much so

Wow; what a nice and quiet lead vehicle. I bet in the 1950's and 60's, when people were writing movies about the 21st Century, they would would of wrote in some kind of hovercraft being the the lead vehicle in any road race, not some loud ass noise maker, that if it was sitting and running in the parking lot of a apartment complex, everyone would either call the cops, let expletives fly your way (as Kramer would say) or everyone would just go out of their apartments with baseball bats and put that vehicle out of it's Misery.

Mantz tried to shake him a few times (after Nico tried to shake Mantz). Awesome race.

I don’t know what the solution is, but there’s got to be a way to fix the jittery camera and loud motor sound. Heck, turn off the sound in post and add “Chariots of Fire” instead!
They should get a Nissan Leaf, or another quiet no emission vehicle, to lead the pack.

Great race from both of them, also what're those white bands on their wrists? Timing chips maybe?
I think it maybe with the COVID thing so they know who is a runner and stuff
Timing chips would be in the bib as times are measured my the front chest area, they are probably just bands to show they belong there like you would get at some big event

Nico got smoked. But he was smoked by a 23 or 24 year-old. He has plenty of time to get stronger.

How about a 48v golf cart. It’s quiet it’s fast and doesn’t leave the best runners sucking in exhaust

A lot of great world class runners are not kickers. It's a great thing to have in arsenal, but not all have great kicks. If you outrun the comp over distance you can get away with a sub par kick.

No he has a decent kick, he just went all-out for this race. It's pretty much impossible to kick when you spread out your energy usage. If Nico was stuck with Casey Clinger instead of Mantz, he could've dropped a nasty kick.
