Thank you for the very informative video. Beautiful 964, although for convenience I think I still prefer my 964 sunroof coupe. These ‘92-‘94 964s are definitely a sweet spot - classic but modern enough to be safe, comfortable, and entertainingly quick.
That is a lovely example of a 964 speedster. Thanks for sharing. The mound behind the drivers head on any car, but you mention the 550, was to stop drag and buffeting on the driver head/helmet. Plus it looks good! Tombstone mirror (pre 92) as you called them, where know as flag mirrors.
My favourite the turbo body speedster G model although less rare than the narrow body ,but the prettiest 911 convertible of all, Lovely video a gentle delicate procedure operating the roof.Nurse needed to help the docter 🤗
I still remember selling a 3.2 Turbo bodied speedster way back in the day for the princely sum of £30k. If anyone has a time machine I could borrow do get in touch 🙂
When the energy companies are complaining that there is no wind turning their turbines for the foreseeable future due to a large anticyclone over the country plus a quick visual scan of the sky to make sure there is no cloud cover horizon to horizon, does this car come out of its pen to play!
I take it out for a cheeky little spin in order to get the road footage. A really compliant drive, not crashy or rattly. The 964 platform is always a delight and a great balance between the simple direct feel of an earlier car and the more modern confidence inspiring attributes of the more recent cars. Looks wise it definitely turns heads.

Can't disagree with anything you've said 🙂

Thanks for that. Makes sense with the wind buffeting. They do look awesome !

If I could pick any Porsche, I’d get a 964 C4 Leichtbau
My understanding was that all the lightweight 964 turbos were 2 wheel drive rather than 4.
Screw this porshe give us a 912
I have a 981 Spyder, so screw you, lol.
