- Nicknamed the Crossroads of the World, Panama City is one of the most fascinating cities on the planet. I visited Panama City a few weeks ago and was thoroughly impressed by the city. In this video I briefly cover Panama City's history, population, skyline as well as other things that make the city unique. Thanks for watching : Panama City Overview | An informative introdction to Panama City, Panama

Always been fascinated by Panama. Really a beautiful city through and through
Why? It doesn't strike me as interesting.
@@SenorJuan2023 history and connetion to the usa
Panama city is truly wonderful. I've also recently discovered how beautyful the skyline is, as was astonished when I first saw it. Great video!
Thank you!!
Panamá 🇵🇦🦋
Been there. Some dramatic contrasts in that city.
I love Panama City I appreciate you doing this one
Cartagena, in Colombia, reminded me somewhat of Panama City; a colonial era fort whose walls enclose the old town, and a sand bar transformed into a string of white and silver high-rises that are reminiscent of Floridian/Australian beach condos. Really contrasting, and makes quite an effect when approaching it by sea.
Just like its worth pointing out that such condos are particular to Florida within the US, its also worth pointing out those condos are particular to Gold Coast for Australia
I'm Panamanian and I love my country!- best country in the world
Awesome video & info . Panama City is beautiful ! Cheers from Toronto 💙
Thank you!! It is a beautiful city!
Fascinating!!! What an interesting city! Great video!!!!!
Thank you!!
Loved the video. Indeed a beautiful place
Thank you!!
PANAMA!
Nice change up from your regular repertoire. Panama City is one of those cities with gorgeous skyscrapers that mysteriously gets missed. I only first discovered this a year or two back. As a fellow City Geek, it got me wondering what else was out there that I had been missing. So here are some other puzzling cities that have tremendously beautiful skylines that seem to go unnoticed.
1) Bangkok, Thailand
2) Manila, Philippines
3) Gold Coast,Australia (amazing coastal skyline!)
And closer to home….
4) Fortaleza, Brazil ( not nearly as beautiful as some, but has over a 100! along the coast)
And my favorite…very similar to Panama City….
5) Cartagena, Colombia
If you’re pressed for time, just look up Cartagena & Gold Coast.
P.S. I can’t believe you did that zip line! Glad you’re still alive! Lol 😎🥇⭐️🏆♥️👍🏙David inHouston, Texas
Good afternoon from Papua New Guinea. I enjoyed watching your contents
Just got home from a bike ride in cinta costera, it’s an incredible 2-3 hour ride that spans from the start of cinta costera in Paitilla, to the end of causeway (more than 20 km if you include the ride back) basically it’s a perfect plan for running or biking, you Can start in Paitilla and end up in causeway drinking a lemonade to refresh, or rent small pedal cars, bikes, and do much other activities.
Like number 100
I spent some time there. The old city and the waterfront trail were the only great spots. The towers were haphazard and we're plunked randomly and disrupted rational Street patterns. And the city was too car centric. Great skyline and the Canal are great
That's more than most other Latin cities, plus the one and only Panama Canal. Try finding that anywhere else.

Do one for Boston please.
Do one on Lakeland Florida between Tampa and Orlando.
Do Halifax Canada pls

Please start stating "storeys" as well when it comes to building heights. Thank you in advance.
A lot was left out regarding its history. The area that became Panama was part of Colombia until the Panamanians revolted, with U.S. support, in 1903. In 1904, the United States and Panama signed a treaty that allowed the United States to build and operate a canal that traversed
Panama joined the great colombia after gaining its independence from spain in 1821.
if you think panama city is impressive Cartagena left me w my jaw on the floor. Felt like Miami but much better. Maybe make a video about Cartagena next? 💕
panama city is much safer than cartagena
If you think Panama City has an impressive skyline check out Cartagena Columbia. Went there last year and I was absolutely amazed at the modern skyscrapers for miles along the coast. It reminded me of Miami with beautiful beaches.
I was born and raised in Panama, and I agree that the skyline is impresive bit it's not walkable at all and not safe for pedestrians.
That's skyline in Florida, The Sunshine State!🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🏙🏙🏙🏙🏙🏙🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞
Zip lines are in Las Vegas
It's procounced Pan-uh-MAW City, not Pan-uh-muh City.
Actually it's pronounced Paw-naw-maw.
As long as you meet your minimum bank deposit requirements, Panamanians don’t care how you say Panama.
Pa-na-ma.
It's pronounced LONDON not 'Londres'!!!!! 😂
The way he pronounces Panama 🇵🇦 lol
I've gone through the canal, takes 8 hours to cross, massive. So hot they're my god. I didn't go to Panama City but went to second largest city Colon which looks NOTHING like Panama City. It was run down and dangerous and would never go back
Colon is terrible, but you were so close to the breathtaking San Blas islands out in the crystal clear waters of the Carribean, a Kuna Yala autonomous region. There are several small islands you can stay on. The one I stayed on was the size of a football field and was surrounded by coral. Nothing like spending a few days doing nothing but snorkeling and eating fresh lobster caught right off the island that day.
@@jazzcatjohn that sounds incredible! This was back in 2011 on a cruise, we visited an Indigenous village deep in the jungle
Portobello and Fort San Lorenzo are just outside the city. Fascinating history. Pirate Henry Morgan gained access to Panama City by overcoming the defenses of these forts on the Caribbean then marching across the isthmus to the Pacific Coast to destroy and raid Panama City. Francisco Pizarro came through Panama on his way to conquer and plunder Peru. Panama's history doesn't start and end with the canal.
Haven't watched the video yet, but nothing interesting comes to mind when I hear the term Panama. It's strikes me about as bland as Dallas or Atlanta.
It's called preconception.
@@guillermogouldburn763 and it still strikes me as bland.
@@SenorJuan2023 Angelina Jolie strikes me as plain, don't mean a thing.
@@guillermogouldburn763 Not apples to apples comparison. Your statement refers to the exterior, My statement refers to the internal and external both.
@@SenorJuan2023 If you think Dallas and Atlanta are bland, can anyone take you seriously?
La ciudad de Panamá es la que más edificios tiene en latino América pero no es ningún lujo Panamá no a hecho nada para a serlo todos se los an hecho por el canal real mente los que si an hecho mucho por tener rascacielos es México y Brasil
Panama City is not a city because there's no interstates there.
The Pan-American Highway runs through Panama City so it is not only interstate but also intercountry.
