They're one of my favorite new group and will likely be one of my ult girl groups besides Stray Kids out and I think they will surpass their older sister group Blackpink (they're from the same company YG Entertainment.They're age ranges from 15-22 I believe and more than half are under 18 years old so the amount of talent and charisma they have already is insane. I personally think they have a stronger vocal ability, range, and other skills than Blackpink. They just came out with a new song called Forever which is a pre-release single to their FULL album coming in October. Their discography is very diverse at the moment. They officially debuted April 1st of this year with their mini album called BABYMONS7ER with all seven members but released their first track Batter Up back in November however Ahyeon was missing due to health reasons. YG is known for their girl crush concept (2ne1, Blackpink(!)), and YG has a specific style and therefore they’ve gotten hate for Batter Up and Sheesh because they were in the “classic YG style,” (which YG himself said was intentional) and so haters love saying they are a “recycled Blackpink.” However, for those who actually care to listen to their discography, every song they do is a different concept, which was the intention for the group. They have an average of 4 years of training, with many of them beginning at age 10, and they were 13-20 when they were selected for the group (aged 14-21 when Sheesh was recorded/filmed), but despite their ages they have monstrous levels of talent, hence the name (when the name was released it was called silly/cringe and now even the haters are like ok we get it). Their vocals and rap are absolutely insane. Whats even more scary is that they make their songs sound even better when performed live (check out their Its Live performances and other live stages). Batter Up and Stuck in the Middle were made without Ahyeon (she was on health hiatus), but she rejoined in time for Sheesh/release of the minialbum. In fact, one of the songs on the album is Like That (a great track, very recommended), which was given to them by Charlie Puth after he saw Ahyeon’s viral cover of Dangerously from their survival-esque show, and which, despite the song being released in like 2016, won an award in SoKorea because of her. Each member was introduced with a solo performance cover from a previous point in their training, with well as intro vids for each. Many of their performances from the Last Evaluation went viral, particularly Dangerously and Pick Up Your Feelings.
