How to Measure Your Space for a Maytag® Range

Before purchasing a range, it's important to measure your space. Here's tips and tricks for how to measure your space for a Maytag® range:
Step One: Measure the width of the cutout. Measure the cutout width from cabinet to cabinet using a measuring tape.
Step Two: Measure the depth of the cutout. Use a measuring tape to measure the depth of the cutout from the wall to the front edge of the cabinet, excluding the hinge and the door.
Step Three: Measure the height of the cutout. Measure the height of the stove cutout from the floor to the very top of the countertops with a measuring tape.
Step Four: Measure the surrounding space. Aside from the cutout, you will need a certain amount of space surrounding the range for cooking activities. Spaces to consider measuring are the space in front of the range and space above the cooktop surface.
Step Five: Measure the stove's path to its location. It's important that the stove fits through all the halls and doorways leading up to the space it will occupy.
