Congrats on the 104 lbs... The airplane and no seat belt extender is what I call a NON SCALE VICTORY!! Couple other ones I've had have been: sitting in a booth, going to the movies and sitting in the seat (vs a chair behind the last row of seats), In and out of my car easier, stairs. I know there are more! I did my 105lbs without surgery (and I've gained back about30lbs - need to get back on track. Love watching you... keep up the good work. Love that new puppy!!

Appreciate your honesty about your stalling and I love how you’ve managed to stay positive. It’s also really encouraging to hear that the surgery is changing your life for the better in so many ways, like how you’ve been able get a puppy. Keep at it Trina and keep us updated please!

Please do not get lost in your own head. That's where excuses live. You are doing great. Stick with it girl. You are going to have loose skin. That's just the way it is. You look bright and shining, so much more alive. Pat on the back for how far you have come. Tickles to Summer.

I started following you a long time ago because we were similar sizes and I appreciated your clothing reviews. Just as I made decision to have vsg, you came out with a surprise video that you had also started your wls journey. You've been with me the whole way as I approach6 weeks post op. And I appreciate your candid discussion about stalls, it means a lot to me. You're amazing and I appreciate you! ❤️

Hi, I've never commented before but have been watching you for years.
I love how honest you and and real about everything.
I have spent most of my life bigger than everyone, my late best friend was a size 6-8 and I was a size 22.
2 years ago my best friend died and I lost my world, my weight went up to 18 stone and I watched your first video about having the surgery, I decided that I would start my weightloss when you had your surgery because if I didn't lose the weight I was going to get worse, I have sleep apnea, fibromyalgia and lots of other things and exercise is hard so walking is all I do atm but I rarely leave my house.
Anyway I started intermittent fasting because I am addicted to food, I only eat between 6pm and 9pm and if I get genuinely hungry before I will have a healthy snack and if I want chocolate or crisps I have them.
I've lost 5 stone since September, my doctor is so happy and so am I.
The clothes I love and couldn't buy because even though they fit me they looked horrible compared to the manikin that wore them before lol
Now I feel amazing and the sun is shining in my life, I'm able to play with my kids properly ru after them without laying on the floor gasping for breath lmao
Just want to say, blips are blips, they are just to learn from, we are only human, we will make mistakes, the weight will halt sometimes but it will come off as long as you just don't give up!
I'm now 13st 1lb and I can't walk 5 miles because I need a cane and it's painful but I used to love to walk for miles, it's so hard now but I'm getting there and you are already there!
I stayed the same for 4 weeks but in the 5th week I lost 4lb so just keep going :)
Wow seriously wow you have done so well!!
    Much love!

I came across one of your vlogs from before you had the surgery. Your weight loss is really showing. You could go back and see the difference for yourself. That always helps me and keeps me positive. I've lost 120 lbs. in 3 years. I've had stalls along the way but I've stuck with it. You'll get there a lot faster than me. I'm also twice your age. I plan to keep on going until I reach my goal weight. Be proud of yourself. It is hard and you are doing great!

Also for the next QA can I ask for the weird and wonderful things people have said to you about your weight loss and surgery? Like for example people seem to think it’s now ok to ask me what I weigh, what I was at my heaviest, what I eat, how many calories… and the best one 😂 was why didn’t I just eat less 😂😂😂

Hiya think on the positive side it will be harder than the beginning. I think hoping to be under 200 pounds is a very big goal and if you can't it doesn't matter. I've lost just over 3 stone now and it's so hard. I think maybe another 1stone and half because maintaining the weight is going to be very hard. Now you have your lovely Dog I bet you will start to stop having stalls in weight loss. Good luck Trina louise x

For your Q&A: I am having surgery later this year. Did you have any health issues before surgery that have gotten better or dissapered now you have started to lose weight? Eg: I have sleep apnea, sore back and knees and swollen legs/ankles. Thanks! 😊

Really interested when you mentioned alcohol. I am 12 weeks po VSG and our NHS health board advises not to drink for at least a year and to try and abstain completely. Are you planning on drinking again? Interesting that you had that gain after drinking then dropped it straight away. Could that have caused your stall? I feel so confused about alcohol, some drink and some don’t and I know it’s down to me really but the advice out there is conflicting.
Really love your videos and your channel, you are the first channel I’ve subscribed to and regularly watch and engage with! ❤❤❤

I was recently in a stall for about a month, as well. It is hard - even when you know that it's expected. I am fairly close to goal and so much healthier than before surgery. I did come to the point where I thought that if I never lost anymore weight, I'd be okay with it. Thankfully, it did break and I have lost a few more pounds. But, yes, the most important thing is that my health has greatly improved and I feel so much better. I have had one complication and that's that I've developed post-bariatric hypoglycemia. I have to be really careful about what I eat. If I eat too many carbs in one meal, then my blood sugar drops after a couple of hours. It can be really scary and annoying. But, I think I might be starting to get a handle on it. :)

Hello I have a question for the next Q&A! Have you noticed if strangers treat you differently now your in a smaller body? If so do you think that is because of the fat phobia built into our society or because you feel more comfortable in your body so your having more positive interactions with strangers? I'm really enjoying watching your journey and how honest you have been about everything. I'm so happy that you are now living the life you wanted to!

Who did you go with for your surgery, and how has the post-op care and support been?
Do you feel your relationship has been positively or negatively affected by your weight loss, or both?? What have been the most difficult parts to navigate?

Great video - I had a mini gastric bypass nine weeks ago and have lost close to 23.5 kilos but have stalled for the last three weeks and it is driving me nuts so I know exactly how you feel. One piece of advice my Surgeon did tell me was not to micro-manage my weight loss which is exactly what I have to stop doing as he said to focus on non-scale victories like the fact that now need to get some new clothes. Off topic here but where is your phone cover from as I need a new one.

Q&A question- after surgery and over the months, do you feel full? How much is a good sized portion now?
I have ridiculously high blood pressure and since having my little one 10 months ago, I've gained weight, even though I've been exercising and eating healthily. It's killing me. I want to consult a doctor about weight loss surgery. Did you go through the NHS? I also have PCOS so super hard to loose weight 😞 xxx

Yep the wait is very long. I got referred straight to tier 4 which is surgery and I’ve been waiting 2 years. Only just had my preop and surgery due in a couple of months. However it has been very helpful to make sure I’m in the right place for the surgery and can cope with it. Alit of people rush into these things and don’t realise the consequences x

What about the weight loss drugs like Ozempic, I think one has just been approved in the UK? They can be an alternative to weight loss surgery for some people, or something to help you get started while you wait.
