    As a right handed southpaw, which just feels far more comfortable to me, I feel like my left cross is just as good as my right cross and makes me wonder if there actually is any significant difference in power between stances and the back hand aside from comfort/what feels natural. A sport science on this would be interesting.

      It differs per person. Technique and timing will trump power almost anytime. You can be a super powerful right handed fighter or left handed fighter, but without proper technique and timing your punches don't have the same effect. Some fighters are natural born power punchers, others are really good at timing, technique and placement.

    Great video russ James. I’m a southpaw myself and like studying other southpaws but this makes it even better with a compilation of the elite 🔥🔥💯👍🏻

    It looks like power is the same still turning the hip into each punch . The southpaw moves left a right a little faster since they're more square , just have to remember to keep your guard up

    Lomachenko impress me the most here. His technique is truely profeesional better than the rest. Keeps his hands up all time.

    • @Leocernask8
      @Leocernask8 7 лет назад +5

      Keeping your hands up doesn't means you are good, in fact lomachenko has his hands down most of the time for baiting punches

      His left hand though, he keeps up so he can retreat with something like the philly shell

      It ani't about keeping hands high. If you thinks so then you don't know boxing at all. But still Vasyl is technically almost perfect.

      the problem with rigo is he isn't exciting enough or offensive enough, he's not active and he's promoted badly. Its a shame because he's a great boxer but because of what I just mentioned he'll never be a super star

      thomas dobbins Americas hate for black boxers is why hes not a superstar! No matter if you knock guys out or a master boxer, the black boxer gets no respect. look at Errol Spence, Deontay Wilder, Terrence Crawford, and Andre Ward. All guys are different but none are worthy of Loma or GGG praise?? And I'm a huge Loma fan, but as a TRUE boxing fan, somethings not right!

      EXPLISIT HIPHOP lol what? Keeping chin tucked is boxing fundamental, plus lama works with angles a lot. So he's gotta keep his head out the way of punching and into a position where can get to the opponents left side

    When push comes to shove! Fight smarter & not harder.slow down & develop the right habits opposed to the wrong habits. The power & speed will come natural. It's not the muscle hustle as much as it is the muscle memory & leverage. Your body is like a machine with just so much wear & tear & it will break down. Slow down & keep fit on moderate wear & tear of conditioning, sleep / rest, the right foods & drink, Keep healthy. Over training is actually worse than it is to under train & so the moral of this story is to train moderately & fear nothing or anybody. My best observation to fighting is that most the over trained bullies are just insecure & do the muscle hustle over training & sucker punch / kick their opponents whom half the time or most the time don't even want to fight. Afterwords they Bragg & boast like they really did something. L.O.L Here's the thing though' anybody can sucker anybody just as shoot somebody & or stab anybody in the back! What did they prove? only to be a coward. Bully proof tap & tag with me Dave Overbey fight & defend to the end.

    Afraid of getting hit, Check out my arm lift blockage blockade, Afraid of being kicked, check out my how to defeat the feet with my technique, also fight tight with my rodeo bronco buckaroo. Learn how & roll in & around rolling into his upper body with your shoulders squirming in & around bucking with your ass twisting up with your shoulders rolling out of his grasp spinning your body all the way around his with round house elbows smashing & bashing, grab, twist, spin, jerk, toss & throw your opponents.
    You need to fight in tight for leverage & elbow smashing & bashing, grabbing & twisting, deflating/ inflating, up & down in & around never in & out. Watch Dave Overbey on RUclips going slow & easy for the power & speed comes naturally. I'm 63 past my prime but still I take my time developing my skill to make every kill. It's the muscle memory & leverage that counts over the muscle hustle. It's fighting smarter not harder. Haste only makes for waste. I school young & older people with fast track results on bully proof tap & tag training techniques. It builds peoples confidence & composure. It's the next best defense to a gun & or run! I'm Dave Overbey Alias Punchy Puncherallo
