This is dangerous and needs to be fixed immediately! To derate while on the road is a complete failure of engineering. Not only are people not within 150 miles of a dealer, but the dealer usually can not see you for two weeks!
Honestly this video didn't really tell me anything that I hadn't already figured out without even having to have a truck with a Cummins. I saw a harness sitting on the cart in front of this guy and figured it was some sort of aftermarket component to get around the de-rate.
In other words, you can't modify it yourself and you have to get a mechanic to gauge you for repairs. *GOT IT!!!!!!!* Delete this crap from your truck the first opportunity you get after your warranty has ended to save yourself the headaches of constantly dishing out money to repair this horror of a system.
Talk to a vet owner operator and he saw the system on my truck and told me to get rid of the system as soon as I can or I’ll start paying for it. 2 weeks later $3000 gone and as of today another $600 smh I can’t wait to get rid of this shitty DEF system.
sir have problem with the def,engine stop,check all. light s on on the dashboard and def tank guage too has a red light on guage reads full on dashboard and same on the guage but reliase the guage is faulty and vehicle drive 5 mph can you help
I had this message before and got to the point I couldn’t drive more than 5mph. I took it to the dealer and they checked the system and told me it was fine. The problem that created this message was a fuse was missing. To be specific it was fuse # 61 / 10amp missing. They placed it in and cleared the problem.

my 2017 ram 2500 starts and rolls fine, but once i get up to 5 mph, its almost as if it doesn’t grab the gear anymore, i can park it and proceed to drive manually, but automatic wont work
Will this void warranty. i have dodge 3500 heavy duty only got 5000km on it had issue with DEF sensor wouldnt go more then 8km the dealer replace the part. Had to wait 4 days to get the parts and was away 2000km home so had to pay hotel and expense out of pocket so wondering is this part will void the warranty I need some thing that can over ride 8km for at least to place that there is dealer and they have parts thanks
My 2021 Mack water truck went 5mph derate with less than 350 miles on it........f-ing inlet nox sensor unscrewed from the pipe on its own! Didn't even hear any sound coming from the wide open exhaust pipe after the turbo.....guess I got a Monday truck!
We have a peterbilt with only 65000 miles on it. The def level sensor has failed so it thinks it's out of def. Deleted to 5 mph. There are no parts available! We are on the list to get one when they become available. Been a month so far with no end in sight. How does one keep making payments on a truck that can't be used to make money?
My VOLVO VNL Cummins engine Derated, but I can go 60mph. Had new Def filter and canister a year ago and Still having frequent park regents. What can it be?

Exactly what I’ve said. Limit the speed to 45 mph or so
but the doesn’t derate while driving.
Why can’t a truck derate to 50 at least you can drive to shop and not have the extra expense of a tow bill
So if I derate to 5mph. Will this tool help me clear the fault codes temporarily to make it to shop?

I got same code spn 5394 fmi 5 is that be doser valve...???
Replaced the doser wiring connector. But after 1k miles same code comes up.

If deratd to 5mph just unplug the speed sensor to get to a repair shop
