Maybe if it wins they will finally do a true cargo variant with a small grid in the back. Terrapin is such a beast and I feel like they could definitely expand its roles out to other professions
@elliothahn1155 I'm not opposed to variants but I have it for its proposed purpose. In lore, it's been used for search and rescue plus dropship duties though not designed for that.
Really hard to care about something so superfluous when the one thing that wasn't already finished in SQ42 in a patch this year is the hangars and cargo and we're almost a year removed from last year's CitizenCon and still don't have it. But guys, SHIP SHOWDOWN! Ignore the actual issues and focus on ships!

I wonder about 2025, will they do skins for the Idis and Polaris if they win? Would be nice. For this year though I thinkthe F8 and the F7 will get skins, they are just sooo popular. C1 is a good contender, not my style but I think many love it. I can see the Nursa make it into the final four as well.

It's hard to decide, I would have to see the contenders to know for sure. I have voted for underdogs in the past like the Terrapin and Gladiator, but I like to cast votes for ships that I think are just genuinely good designs. Like the Cutter, for example. I would be very tempted to vote for the Syulen based on the complex and beautiful design, but I would 100% consider the Pulse for its clever compact design along with the Nursa for its practicality and usefulness.
I don't vote according to what ship I wan't to get a skin for. I go by MY favorite ships. which are currently the MSR, Carrack, C2, and Warden. I expect next year I will be saying Polaris whether I own one or not by then
I hardly fly it anymore, but I am still team MSR. I am mostly in my M2 these days but I think that will change if I don't dig the new cargo refactor. The Nursa is definitely my pick for the must have ground vehicle. I am like you looking forward to seeing who picks what.
The Starfarer doesn't even work. We've needed one a few times in the last couple patches and it's a no-go. The Reclaimer is more than just a ship. It the setting for tons of great sci-fi adventures. A paint for the Reclaimer that wasn't pink or purple would be cool. I'm not the soft hearted, "blah-blah doesn't have a paint yet". To me that's no reason to blow one of 6 spots for something cool.
We should do the MK I Hornet to call them out on their bs with the Mk II switcharoo bs followed by nerfing an op sales ship the moment the return window is closed-specially the Heartseeker (since it’s the most bugged Mk I-it doesn’t even have its hearts atm)
the reclaimer has a best in show version, and some subsriber exclusive skins, but none easily available, and a very popular ship. Also the starfarer has a couple of dinky old skins but theyre nothing special, and are featured on other ships too. Its very unloved and mostly unplayed
From the style perspective I love the terrapin. But without a practical usage in game I can't see myself putting money, time or resources into it. When I want something different from my meta I always come back to starter ships...
What about the ptv from two years ago when they promised a rework and free skin for and said it wasn't a contender for bis. I'm voting ptv terrapin and 890.
Well, fortunately, most ship skins are ugly, so we don't have to really care. ;) Not just those special "reward" ships, but also the ones they sell. The original artists spend weeks and months making the default skins perfect, and then some intern comes and creates an atrocity in a few hours, which they have the nerve to sell for the price of a finished playable AAA game.

you got BIS warbound Upgrades for all winner at the end of IAE, but i don't think they will give warbound for 890 or F8 :-(
