- today i'm joined by RTAT120 (aka Rod) to try and win after waiting 20 seconds and 25 seconds. we played the tallest combo we could find (petey piranha, sneeker, monster tires, plane glider) and did some insane bagging. THIS is the ultimate mario kart 8 deluxe challenge

We thought we were doing so much worse because we kept disconnecting and losing points. But Rod you did amazing for your first time on this challenge!

top 2 first race was actually so impressive
We freed up hours of time to do this, and then we cleared it after 1 try LOL. So we upped the challenge by 5 seconds

Mario kart is like too wild for allowing a 20+second head start to come close to first
They really made this the most chaotic mario kart game of all time
It was more common in MKWii if you were the only one in the lobby that can successfully execute super and ultra shortcuts, and it also happens to be the wildest mario kart as well with all the broken exploits 🤣
@@MrOiram46 ultra shortcuts aren't allowed in online anymore, so you can't do them
@@NicoDoesStufff Yeah, Nintendo started cracking down on ultra shortcuts after MKWii; I remember when Nintendo patched the first ultra shortcut discovered in MK7 on Maka Wuhu. It was patched for online matches since it was so easy to do and everyone kept exploiting it, fun times lol

For some reason this reminded me of when I couldn’t figure out which button was the “drive forward” button on the Wiimote, so I was just sitting at the starting line for the entire race.
this video made me so incredibly happy, i love both you and rod separately and these two videos you both have made together are everything to me
If you're waiting that long, just wait on top of a coin spot. You'll be at 10. You could probably be alone and wait 40 seconds and be blindfolded and still win with one hand in bondage at that point.

they weren't lying, when you play online you have to hit players on THEIR screen for them to notice. in these cases they only hit themselves on their screens not the other person's.

First try on coconut mall is insane
We used to play drinking kart where you had to finish a beer before the end of the race but you couldn't drink and drive. Chugging the beer right away was the key. I had no idea it was actually a strategy lol

Everyone completely forgot that Petey Piranha was added to Wave 5! You only see him in Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Super Sluggers, and he’s the first boss fight of the Subspace Emissary in Super Smash Bros Brawl!
There is also a dino variant of Pete in the Mario Galaxy games.
I love Petey piranha. But out of the DLC characters, Petey has the worst stats AND the largest hitbox which also blocks your view. He's fun to use but also a little frustrating if you're trying to perform well
