Great choice, Bones wheels are good.
oj plain janes are my fav
Ricta
Bearings are even better especially reds
Spitfire over everything by far
Nevin Nitschke !!
I wanna work as an compressed air wheel go up worker
I used to work there. I was bathroom attendant 2nd shift. I would fold toilet paper as requested for fecal removal of the anal region.
@@Baghuul you guys had toilet paper?
@@Baghuul oh fuck no
I reckon it’s a fun job overall.
@@Baghuul Ah a Buttler :3
The workers in this factory look exactly like I envisioned they would.
Dead inside? It's pretty rare to find a factory worker that doesn't look dead inside.
@@Lolbama2012 minorities with baseball caps
A bunch of Kyles
@@blakenoble4014 Actually I was thinking of the guy at 4:15 mainly. That guy owns multiple skateboards himself...
100%
i actually have those purple clears so its cool to see how the ones i actually own were made
What company is that I'm new to skateboarding and i think i need a new set
@@bess7408 the company is called bones, they make wheels and bearings most of the time
@@bess7408 If you need a new set of wheels try mini logo wheels they are very good price for the quality, happy skating
@@meanontoist I hated them.
where did you buy them from? I can't find them anywhere... They must not make them anymore.
Why do those wheels look so edible?
netcoms197 why you gotta make it about the foods americans eat? also i buy from farmers that live close and i don’t taste a difference
Because your a weirdo
It's part of the kinesthetic appeal!
Forbidden jolly ranchers
@@netcoms197 lol
I love how this comment section is so passionate about these guys making wheels.
as i'm just sitting here taking a dump......yes , it's TMI and you're the lucky guy that gets to know that totally irrelevant info .
I want some of those ceramic wheels mentioned in the beginning. Those would be great for slides. Nothing but slides.
Wheels are a very important part of skating. They are what touches the ground after all!
@@KandiKlover just get bowl wheels
I’m so glad they chose Bones wheels and not some generic no-name brand wheels 💀 🔥🛹
Why? What would be the difference?
I wish they would have been spitfire tho
@@crosisofborg5524 Generic wheels are usually shitty plastic
@@claysoggyfries Yep🍟 Kraptonics💩😂👀
I prefer ricta over spitfire
Always good to see how things are made. Also makes me think about the people that make machines that make things.
I know right?! What kind of genius figures that part out lol it’s crazy
I wish they still made bones clears, they look so cool. Anyone know any alternatives?
Ricta clouds seems to be soft as the bones
I got emillion's soft weel's but I'm not sure they sell them yet I'm not sure they sell them yet what matters is the hardness of the wheel, for the street you need 99a / 101a and around 88a it is for cruising
(Disclaimer , these weels are great for cruising but for street skate it's isn't cool )
www.streetplant.com/collections/wheels/products/57mm-street-scoundrel-crystal-skulls
You can find Ricta Super crystals on EBay, that’s where I got my throwback
Yu want the bones All-terrain formula
I’ve been riding bones wheels off and on for over 20 years. Bones and Spitfires are top notch.
I never skateboarded as a kid, but grew up when it became really popular again and was always fascinated by the art and design of the industry.
My first experience with awesome skateboarding came in 1977 when I bought a brand new $25 fiberglass board with Kryptonics polyurethane wheels. I absolutely thought I was in heaven.
Not gonna lie, these workers look so chill. Like they genuinely don’t mind their jobs
Gnarly, dude.
I didn’t realize how much work it takes to make skateboard wheels. Thank you for choosing bones and not some cheap Walmart brand.
When the first urethane wheels came out (Cadillac?) they were SO much better than what came before it was just mind blowing. Sealed bearings too. You young-uns just don't know what it was like in the old days. LOL
I saw the thumbnail before reading the title and thought they were lifesaver gummies
It takes a lot of work, thanks to all bros doing the wheels!u are truly appreciated!
Super rad video! It’s SO CRAZY to see the difference from the old garage wood molds and shit Steve would use to make even bones wheels and push out non-weathered bearings has come to. Supply and demand brother. It’s amazing. “The more absorbent the better”
I had those bones clears. I wish I could buy a fresh set of them.
That beat in the background is too good for this video
Don’t know why I’m surprised but I Love how this dude knows what he’s talking about.
Bc he’s given a script....
Can't believe how much work goes into just printing the wheels
That’s an amazing amount of work.
This is soo cool. I honestly wish I could do this as a job for ever
Nice, I'm rocking the Bones 55mm 103a Flatface wheels and they're great
I remember getting a set of rubber like soft ish wheels from my neighbour in the mid 90's. They were so quick and rolled over small pebbles. Never seen wheels like them again.
They make those... they’re called cruiser wheels
@@Sam-jb2gk - Really, cruiser wheels? I had them on a standard santa Cruz Skateboard. They weren't big wheels just the same size as ordinary sb wheels. Can you put cruiser wheels on a street skateboard? Excuse my ignorince. And thanks.
Kevin Barron Yes you can. They were likely just a low durometer wheel
That is so cool. A factory I would love to work at.
Ok but when I was little I would watch how it’s made with my dad all the time :)
At 2:35 those are the Series 3 Powell Peralta Bombers! 60mm/85a
I worked at a skateboard wheel manufacturer in the early 80s, computers were not part of the process, we would make adjustments to the polyurethane mix to get the right hardness (durometer rating) pop the wheels out ot the molds with compressed air, and turn the back smooth on a lathe, that was about it, super cheap to make once we had the molds, several hundred made of stainless steel on a big lazy Susan table, I made thousands of wheels a week, those were the days, the company was called Polymer Products, in Irvine/ElToro California
I have the Red Clears on my board, good to see how they were made 👍
how it's made never ceases to have the dopest background music
I have those exact bones clears and they are the best wheels ever!!!
got episode for skateboard decks?
I think they do, vaguely remember seeing how one was made - in layers
Yes they do
@@Ebcut meh
Just watch skate 3 intro
Sooo satisfying!
Please upload more
Slime Balls and OJ Freeze Streets were the most legendary wheels of old-school days!
yep , OJs
And with designs of jim Phillips, I have a whole book on ot
When I was a kid in the 70's, a shop 3 doors down from my dad's machine shop made OJ wheels. My dad made some molds for them.
The thumb cutouts on the hoodie sleeves.
Total nostalgia.
3:28 That's cool How they make the graphics on the metal plates with a photosensitive layer. that's literally a tintype photograph. awesome.
Glad to listen the word "worker" so many times in this video
i always rode ricta when i was younger as they were so nice and gave me crazy pop
They look really cool!!
Awesome side of my favorite wheels. Rictas are good too
I love this show. Very interesting
Love this upload
Your wheels might have been made with the same pin as tony hawks. Think about that. You are the next prince of skating
Your time is now
Or the same exact mold by the exact same factory worker.
i use ricta clouds 60mm and they work amazing
Fascinating
That Oregon print wheel 😎
Remember in the early 2000's when luggage used to have skateboard wheels? For a while?
They were bomb!!
Now, they don't do that anymore. And they suck now!!
hi B W...
'
who is a word - THE Y -
Blake West
That’s probably why they don’t have those wheels anymore! Too many lawsuits from people doing stupid things.
I remember luggage having rollerblade wheels?
Herschel uses skateboard wheels on their Independent trucks collab roller duffle bag.
Shark wheels are supposed to be going on luggage soon. Could be a huge difference over the crappy wheels on them now.
Nothing like a fresh set of new Bones wheels. 🤙🏼
BASE do you skate? I wish I could, it looks fun
AlRox yes, been skating since I was about 11 and I’m 35...still skate. Not like I used to but I skate around the city. Can never give it up once you start.
Ricta or Spitfire. 👍
@@Alrox. go skate it's so much fun
That’s the coolest technician I’ve ever seen
Really cool! Loved this one!
sb wheels are so chuckable. fit nice in ur hand and have a nice density and weight
Awesome choice to pick a good brand for the video
Thank you
1:18 "An aashole dispenses"
Bro I was just looking for my wheels that I left in my shed for months. What are the odds this is then uploaded, haha

Awesome 👍👍
Please make a video of how fingerboard wheels are made❤️ thank you !
nice job
Amazing!
2:15 70a? Jeez that's soft
I honestly have no idea how people ride on wheels thatre that soft. my old 78a were already pretty squishy
@@sacrificeyourself7134 i have shitty sidewalks, so i ride 104a)0)
They were proto wheels for Powell peralta downhill wheels at the time, now they are in full production at 75a the wheels are SNAKES best wheels in the game. Also @ 4:25 you can see them testing THESE Byron Essert pro model wheels which was a secret name for Powell peralta wheels making their groundbreaking appearance in Downhill.
I skate some ATFs and Rat Bones that are 80a and 85a, not as soft, but it's needed to skate NYC streets.
Good job
good to know
Pretty sure I seen this video a while ago but I still am going to watch it again 😂
This is awesome !
Intresting
The fact that went to a legit company like bones is awesome!
This is so cool!!
Everything on how its made ends up in an oven at some point. Love this show!
great choice of company bones are top 3
Gotta appreciate how they aren't checked for any problems within the cavity where the bearings go that lead's to do many issues man
We need you on all steaming platforms. Please.
Superbb
Sooo gnarlyyyyyy sooooo radddd dudeeeee
Bones are my fav deff been using my bone stfs I think they are wheels with my bone reds for around 10 years now and still going strong the wheels were originally 52s now they’ve gotten so small they could be 50s or lower
The party pack v2 are a all time favorite
thanks recommended
I remember once I got some spitfire cores. I put them on my board and went out skating. I only rode them for like 15 minutes before 1 of the wheels split open. Pissed me off!!!
AWESOME 😎🤘🏼
thats cool
Imagine if there was wheels with that type of Japanese Blossom Art. Tht be cool
I used bones for almost 3 years very good.
Omg...like candy ...awesome skate wheels.
Cool
so awesomeeeee
The bones clears look so tasty :~D like futuristic froot loops
Not all wheels are just polyurethane. Ricta uses a custom blend called NRG. Spitfire has one too but I can't remember the name.
- Worked at a skate shop for 4 years.
Nice
Yes
I remember back in my days till would come out in the morning i would watch it with my dad💯😤😔
I used to work here omg I just saw my boss ahahaha thats crazy
lol no wayyyy
What’s the company name? I’m trying to get wheels made
@@brandongard2724 I don’t think they will accept custom orders, this is the Powell Peralta skateboard warehouse, in Goleta, produces bones wheels
Damn the packing is so cool
I would complain that they only feature one brand, but I love me Bones wheels.
Where can i go about applying at one of the factories? Id like to make wheels or decks
Nice username lol
Finally I know what an artist does
Used to do this for a living.
Good choice going with bones
