I think I shall go with the ITG filter since you've mentioned about the issue about the pipercross one. some of the mods you've done so far is more or less what I wanna do to my F56 albeit the 3-cyl version. great content, keep it up!!
@@Joumiya One year later, is it any good still? Been wanting to use a gift cert i got for killallchrome for one of these and wanted to see if it makes any difference on the B38 1.5.
Ben, Here in the USA we have a similar filter by a company named K&N. They're washable too and after washing you treat them with an oil you buy from them that helps capture dirt. They advertise having more power. I installed one of these on my V-8 pick-up truck a number of years back. What happened is that it did have more power but my fuel mileage went down. It made the truck use more gasoline. After a short while I realized how it made more power. It allows more air into the engine and it fools the computer so it has to dial up more fuel to compensate for the additional air. I didn't like the truck using more fuel than before and I really didn't need more power. The other thing is that the oil added onto the filter made it get dirty quickly and if not kept up with it would clog up. What a mess. I hated having to wash and oil treat that filter so I gave up on using it and never bought another one. I hope you experience goes better than mine and you're happy with the extra power. Is your MINI an S version?
I guess im asking the wrong place but does anyone know of a method to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot the password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me!
@Quinton Ellis i really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@@DirtyxOwnage not really much of a flutter increase, maybe more of a whistle but only when the windows are down. You’d need one of those cone filters for flutter but I prefer the ITG panel as it sits lower and will take in colder air which is better for performance.
@@Watchreviewblog cheers for the answer! Even minimal extra turbo noises makes me happy ;) other noticeable differences in your 1.5t? Throttle response is already amazingly sharp in sport mode, with stock filter
@@DirtyxOwnage very hard to tell any difference with the filter only tbh. I have a jb+ tuning chip, muffler delete, lightweight wheel and sports tires, and this panel filter. With that combination the car is an absolute blast to drive. Fairly budget mods but they make a huge difference paired together.
Love the videos mate! Just wondering if you have to treat the filter with oil before you install it and how many times you've had to clean it so far, if at all.
Hi Ben, it’s been a while since you fitted this, do you still recommend it? Sadly I brought a Pipercross panel filter a few months ago, and after less then 1000 miles it’s badly distorted. After reading reviews I’m now worried it will just disintegrate. So I’m stuck between ITG and K&N. What’s your thoughts?
Hi mate! Pipercross are notorious for doing this so I’d remove it asap. I can only comment on ITG as it’s all I’ve used but for the time I’ve used it I’ve been really impressed with it!
I just ordered an ITG for my f56s. However, I've been reading some things about the oil filters possibly contaminating the MAF. Does anyone really know just how bad it would be to use the ITG in place of an OEM paper filter? I want to treat my mini as well as I possibly can, but i also want to know the details of how bad or fine it could be for the MAF and engine.
Hey 👋 I’ve done around 100 miles since I’ve installed it and truthfully I’m really happy with it. The turbo flutter is considerably louder and is easily noticeable with your windows up. I have noticed mild throttle response improvements and I swear I can feel an improvement in performance too, but it’s ever so slight. For the price I’d definitely recommend one over the stock filter. You can also clean these instead of getting new ones each time. All in all super happy with it.

@@BenRolfe I just got the ITG filter fitted today and throttle response feels a lot better, not to mention the turbo flutter too!
Ahh amazing! So glad you like it! Definitely an improvement over the stock one

I was thinking about getting a mulgari air filter. After watching this I think i will. Keep up the good videos.
Thank you ☺️

@Pablo Duncan no problem =)
Just installed my ITG filter into my F56 1.5t, thanks for the great vid!
Does the flutter also increase on your F56 1.5t?? Wanting to buy the ITG but mainly for the extra turbo flutter

Great video - mine is arriving tomorrow, so will look forward to fitting that! Really like your content
Thank you so much! Enjoy it!
Good video mate. I have an forge induction kit on my f56 cooper S sounds amazing
The forge induction kits are amazing from what I’ve heard.
Lots of turbo noise and with my resonator delete loads of pops and bangs at the back so got the best of both worlds
I have one in my cooper s r53 love your content
Thank you ☺️
thanks so much dude

@@BenRolfe cheers for that Ben. I read your message then placed my order 😂. So disappointed with the Pipercross - may try to claim on their warranty.
I’d definitely try, at the end of the day it’s failed and can potentially cause damage. You can’t go wrong with ITG
Which is the best between ITG or K&N engine air filter ?
Hi mate, something else to be added to the list 😃
What about exhaust? What’s out there ect and recommend?
The filter is amazing! I’ve only gone as far as doing a resonator delete on my exhaust but it’s something I’d recommend
Thoughts on K&N vs ITG?
I’ve only used ITG so they are all I can recommend really.

Had it for nearly a year now and have had absolutely no issues yet. Still running on the original oil and haven’t cleaned it yet.
Itg is only sound?? Plus power??
Sound is a definite improvement, power is negligible
💪
Hi great video, Is your car totally stock before you put the filter on ?
Hey 👋 thank you! Yeah, my car was completely stock
Made any progress in testing so far Ben ?

Do you prefer itg air filter or K&N??
Do you know the difference?
Hello im from mallorca, the screws are torx?
Yes that’s correct
Foam filters unfortunately offer very weak filtration compared to paper filters and hence you are sucking more dirt into your engine.
That’s where the oil comes into play! Foam filters have to be cleaned and oiled to catch the dirt
Do I need to put filter oil on it before I put it in?
Hey, not at all as it comes with oil already on it
Can you please prove a link for us in the United States, it would help a lot! Thanks
