PS2 Errors - Please insert a PlayStation(PS1) or PlayStation 2 format disc

Used BIOS:SCPH-39004(PAL/Europe)
This error happens when a scratched disc is inserted,PC disc,or a disc from another region.

So what's your BIOS? USA right
Then use the game file with the Europe version not the Japan version. Also if your bios is Japan then download the game file japan version.

Basically it was hard for me to understand more I was able to fix it, but to summarize how to fix it (I will make a video on RUclips of how to fix it to see it visually) you have to unzip any game that is compressed, and you have to format the card and then restart the console from the menu aethersx2, you completely exit the app and then look for the option to start the file (very important) do not touch where you have the compressed file you have to touch the file that you decompressed and you will be able to play the game.

You need to use a cd rom file that is on ps1 or ps2.

@@Mechagodzilla-ed5qp You have any idea ? Seems the problem only appear on Xiaomi phones. I can't add games or play games, but can run BIOS normally. My BIOS is US 2002-01-07 ( SCPH10000 ). My game is Persona 3 FES ( US region )

@@Mechagodzilla-ed5qp I tried to extract all the file from ISO file and put them in folder /games. Then in a blink of an eye I saw my game appear on AetherSX2, I want back to my /games folder to check and my game also dissapeared after I moved back to AetherSX2. That's so weird mate

My bad. I have a similar issue, but for the PS1 unmoded version. I watched a RUclips video where the person fixed the issue by replacing a specific faulty capacitor. That screen of death error was gone after that.
