Funny enough, I have the new track only RC8C and am racing it in the CMRA series and I just picked up a 2022 Duke 890R this week! We’ll be track prepping it and racing it as well. Was super inspired by Andy DiBrino’s win at Daytona aboard one of those Duke 890Rs prepped by EDR.
Im really intrested in this build! :) Especially ur solution for the ecu. Its kinda hard to tune the stock ECU, for example Powercomander cant access the euro 5 ecus anymore :/ Does anyone know how u can tune the ecu yourself, except with the powercomander? Greetings
Mine came with an insert to hold the pipe w/o footpeg....replace the footage with supplied part.....idk it's not that light though.....idk if yours came with it
The race KTM RC8 track only bike is based on a Kramer GP2 race bike. Same bike with wings. The frame, swing arm, subframe and ECU is completely different. The motor is the only thing in common
The bolts you used to replace where the tail grab went. What are the size and where can i purchase them. Are they Ti. Also I have a 21, i will be following this channel and the build. Probably going to do most of the mods you guys are completing. I got the full exhaust, waiting to install until i get my new rotors in. Really excited to see this through, keep the videos coming!
Great video content. On the re-weigh I noticed the weight distribution was off compared to the initial figures. How much fuel was in it on the second weigh in. At 6lbs a gallon, even having 1/2 a tank would give it slightly different number. Nice weight savings anyway!
Do you think KTM fixed all the reliability issues with this years 890 duke (r)? Previous years had so many catastrofic issues, as you must be aware of.
We feel good about it. Other than some minor leaks, most people do not have big issues with the 2021 models. We have great KTM support via Eurosport Asheville, so I am confident if we have an issue, it'll be resolved.
I dont understand builds. Builds usta mean, new pistons or cams maybe some head work now its bolt on bling and no motor work. What happened to making hp with engine work and not the.... oh 5hp with a powercommander
Great work Freddy!!!! I can't wait to see the whole build.

Lucky!
More builds? YES
I own a 2020 model and it's hella fun. Can't wait to see how this pans out.
Yes!! Yes!!! Great bike!! This is awsome!!!
Cool I just bought one for my first street bike, fourth KTM though😀 I’ll have to subscribe…
Recently became the owner of a 790 and looking at doing some street/track work on it! Looking forward to this build 🧡
Super fan of the 890..man im really hook on this series
Love seeing the before and after build series like this! Can’t wait to see the Final outcome! Hit me up when you bring it out we’ll go ride! 👍🏻
I'm going to look at the 890r today. Looking forward to it.
AWESOME AMAZING FANTASTIC
Saaaweet!! Wish I had the $$$ to do all this. Wow, that sounds amazing!

Quick one...why did you leave the exhaust side rear foot peg on?
How did you get the baffel out the can
Man Im looking forward to this build. I love those bikes
Race it in the super hooligan class!! Chris filmore won on an 890!
What he said. 😁 CF is awesome!
@@daveyt4802 Who knows what the future may hold!
Keep ‘em coming
I need to pay you guys a visit! I actually bought TJ’s old 890R!
Hello, do you prefer the 890R to the 1290 SDR?
Great.
are you putting a rcs17 or rcs19 on this? cant find any results as to which one this bike needs
We need a r1 update ASAP
What emissions systems can be removed on this bike? canister / sas?
Love the ktm duke 890R! The mods so far are insane! Why do you have the right passenger peg on? Its gonna look 10× better without it!
This is the way the exhaust is supported for the time being. We have a solution coming for that.

great video, i just got this same bike!! is the alliant battery pretty much plug and play is there any computer type setup to it?
It's a bit small, so liberal use of foam was needed, but otherwise plug and play!
@@SuperbikeUnlimited appreciate it brother will get that and maybe the rear sets from the site later on today, are the rear sets in stock at all?
@@zil9560 They are not, probably 30+ days out. Battery is in stock.
@@SuperbikeUnlimited thanks will order battery!!
Awesome.

That RC8C is sick, wish it was more affordable I would have bought one instead of my 959.
Kramer GP2 cost 32,500 which is 7500 cheaper. Paint and wings and you have the same bike

The 25lbs saved between the 2 weigh ins was largely in the rear of the motorcycle, so this isn’t a big surprise.
Why did you leave the rear right side foot rest?
It’s currently holding the exhaust.
Original battery is 10A not 12A
😍😎👍

That's mostly hearsay, there's some rare coolant leaks on some models but that was even on the 790, years back
After owning one for a year and 10k miles 0 issue (riding like an idiot)
Never, never twist the strands of the wire before crimping a terminal to the wire. That’s what i learned as an AMP Inc employee.
R1 content!!!!!!!! anything, literally...
En el video solo se te ve a ti
Get rid of your right passenger footrest , a few pounds less 😁
Tell me you haven’t watched the other videos without telling me you haven’t watched the other videos 😂
@@SuperbikeUnlimited Ok sorry
Words out of KTM RandD..890 needs at least 175cca on the battery.
Working great for 7 months - and we’ve used smaller batteries on larger engines with substantially greater compression without issue.

Stop film you and film the bike🤦♂️
You drove it a few miles from the dealer and it felt heavy! Humm.....
