ANSWERING ALL YOUR QUESTIONS / Husband + Wife Q+A / 100K GIVEAWAY ANNOUNCEMENT- Christy Gior
I can tell that Ed is uncomfortable in front of the camera *however* when he talked about each child's personality individually, he completely lit up. That's saying a lot without saying much at all.
Yeah, doesn't look like he's shy to be on camera, maybe he just doesn't want to be on camera, it's not everyone's things I get that because I'm that way

Like when he said ‘I named him Ace because he is the ace card’. Very strong feeling, you can see it.
Y’all/ mama is not strict, AT ALL. I remember when the twins were upset about shoes, you were so calm and just talked to them and explained that they didn’t have to cry and could do it theirselves. I wish i was handled like that. Y’all are great parents ‼️
yeah strict parents scream and control their kids she gave them responsibility and freedom!!! so much respect
@@kittyykatie where I am from "strict" is a compliment for parents who have clear rules and boundaries, who believe in mutual respect and responsibility. I never would have guessed that people use the word differently to mean controlling or over-bearing, bullying parents.
@@HayleyJeffs yes for me, strict means over-bearing and *possibly* bullying if the kid isn't excelling in the parents' chosen paths for them. Typically the kid has very little breathing space and they hide their mistakes and anxieties for fear of punishment. Impacting negatively on a child isn't always coming from neglect, being too demanding and in denial of their individuality can also be damaging. I don't find kirsty and her husband strict, more like nurturing and supportive. I think she exhibits a very positive, child lead parenting style which is something i like about her.
@@kittysparkleeyes just goes to show people use language differently and we benefit from discussion to further our understanding:)
The first video of yours I saw was African-American hairstyle that you did on your daughter's natural hair. U guys r awsome💖
Aleyah 6 same !!! It was only a couple weeks ago and I started binge watching them after that ☺️❤️🥰
Me 3 y'all lol

Funny I thought I was subscribed before, but after that comment I was like...OK!
Yes!!!!!
Ur husband seems so laid back and cool. But if u take him there he will go there.
Lee GRANT so true 😅
Her, too. 🙌🏿🙌🏿😂😂😂😂😂👌🏿
For real lol
I love this comment so much😂👌
@@lekiahall2702 facts 😁 gotta love it
Kids thrive in a disciplined household and being in an interracial upbringing teaches unity among the children.
So dope!
Exactly right!!!
When dad was speaking about Ace, it brought tears to my eyes. This dad loves him Son, his only begotten son. ❤
First video I came across was Eliyah’s adoption story & I haven’t stopped watching your videos since!!
Kenya Gunthrop they’re the sweetest family ever!! 😭
I cried the whole video it was the cutest thing everrrrrr!!!
same. Check out Be The Village channel as well
Yea she’s a little star 💫
Me too!
Strict is a stretch for some.
However.
Structure+Sternness= Discipline-Character-Integrity-Accountability-Responsibility and etc.
MizMia K I was thinking the same thing, when someone said that I was like “strict” - seems like the kids enjoy it
It’s nice when the husband gets to express himself...
I like your husband blunt straight forward 🙌🏾
He speakes and acts EXACTLY LIKE JOHNNY DEPP am I the only one who can't unsee this
Yeah, and there’s a bit of Bruno Mars going on.
Love it!!! Your husband straight up..." We dont have to justify ourselves". Keep up the great content.
I’m such a fan! I’m 21 and no where near being a mom but I love your channel 😂
My Sunday routine as a stay home mom of a large family
Same sis
KaniciaBeLike I became a momma at 21 and I now have 3 ❤️ I’m 25
Diving with Dee ok? Some of us don’t want to ruin our lives at a young age.. there was no reason for you to come at her
@@chelseasimonevlogs when did she "come for her" 🤔 She literally just told her about herself becoming a mother at 21 😂😂 And becoming a mother at any age.. Doesn't ruin ur life
The first video I saw was you showing how to do African American hair and I've been here every since. I'm basically auntie at this point lol jk. Congratulations on the subs! Hoping you double or triple by next year around this time 😊
Brittany Reloaded & Restored yep same here! I’m hooked on them ever since!! 😭🥰❤️

I love it when he said: " We don't have to justify it".
I think people forget that this is a FAMILY, like... when the children look at these adults they just see mom and dad, and when this couple look at these little ones they see their own children. I always peep the man’s energy in these scenarios because imo it’s more telling than the mom’s, and you can tell he’s emotionally invested just like she is! Obviously, momming is always going to be a special dynamic but he clearly wants to father them, and that warmed my heart.
They’re doing their thing! ☺️👏👏👏👏
I just wanted to say to the question about adopting outside your race and them feeling alienated...All of your children look VERY HAPPY! They look fulfilled and spoiled Wich is amazing! 😀. I don't think those babies want for anything. You guys are doing great with them
Macy Hinds I think it’s fine as long as it’s addressed and discussed rather than ignored and just the elephant in the room
@@maggie1000 and who do you think makes it an elephant in the room.?
My husband and I adopted five children from the foster care system after having raised two biological daughters. We too are “structured”. Our home is much less chaotic than many smaller families and I attribute that to the fact that we have structure, routine, and very clear expectations. I am also an elementary school teacher who works full-time. I always say, “Hey, I’m used to teaching classes of 25-30 students so having five children at home is a piece of cake in comparison. Our five children come from two bio families. Our children are such blessings!
BNB
It's not strict. It's structure. Kids need that. I love how you guys parent
I wish every household was more structured and disciplined 🥰
The first video I saw was the “easy rope twist on naturally curly hair” on Eliyah. I thought it was precious how you took the time to learn how to take care of her hair texture.
Tiffany Stewart only if my mom did that 💀 and perm my hair it wasn’t short but it looks better natural 🙂
Pretty MaddieXo I’m saying! Some of you black mamas don’t even do all this! 🙃
Umm why y’all coming after y’all mothers....If you want natural hair and longer hair...stop getting perms; do protective styles and just transition....It’s a little more expensive but it isn’t rocket science 🤔🙄
the way he looks at you is so adorable 🥺
“Stop all them hating comments” 😂
I heard that! I love you guys!! Congratulations on 100k !!!!
Come through breadwinner
I was totally impressed with Christy’s ability to take care of her black daughter’s hair! Let’s talk about this was my first video.
I literally had to go through my history but the first video I saw was your “Solo Mom Evening Routine With 5 Kids” exactly 1 month ago. It’s crazy I feel like I’ve been following you for over a year!
Cerulean_Waters samee
Cerulean_Waters I was watching that one too after a hair video and have been binge watching ever since 🥰
sammmmmeeeee
He got me at " We don't have to justify ourselves". Beautiful family!!!
5:58 Strict? Interesting opinion I watch your channel for the structure- I enjoy organization videos to preplan my own life. I definitely agree that, based on the videos you show.. it seems you have them structured rather than strict to me! Kids love and appreciate structure! Great job you parents! PS- bagels are a bunch of dry compacted bread, I don’t always like either 🙃
Hubby is so swaggy!! Love the channel❣
Awwww he loves his son!! You could actually see the love in his eyes when he was talking about his son Ace. Beautiful! You two seem like such great people.
I came here after seeing the hair care video. Beautiful family❤️
The first one I saw was you crying your heart out in the car about the two littlest girls. As an adoptive mother of six and bio mother of 5. It broke my heart because I've been the same position. I was so wishing I could just give you a big hug. They finally that's behind you and you can breathe. You and your husband have a beautiful family ♥️
That was my 1st video as well! It stopped me in my scrolling tracks and tugged at my heart something hard.
Yessssss STRUCTURE! I want that in my house hold when I have kids! But of course I would have to be “structured” myself!
I honestly do not like family channels but yours is very different. Your family is so inspiring.
I feel that you've maintained a connection with someone in the biological families of your adoptive children is extraordinary and wonderful and I pray many blessings to your family.
It takes Extra special folks to take in teens and pree teens they come with alot more baggage
Yeah, little ones are just like LOVE MEEEEE!!!! lol
The first video I ever saw was you doing Eliyahs hair and I fell in love!!
The first video i saw was of you doing Eliyah's hair. The amount of care in love you put into it was absolutely inspiring. I've legit watched all of your videos since. Cant wait to see you and Ed's love story! Get a babysitter for date night soon! ❤ love u guysss
I love those same types of shows- 90 day fiancé , married at first sight, etc.
Christy is the type of mama I aspire to be!!! I was hopping to see more of her hubby, this video was so wonderful to watch!! Wonderful seeing you guys raise your amazing family.
Y'all are doing an amazing job with 5 children. I'm one of six. My mom & dad took flack from folks because we had a large family. Jealous. But, the Bible says in Psalms that "children are an heritage from the Lord." You all are blessed!
i’m supposed to be doing homework online but i’m here watching yt. much love for y’all😂🤦🏻♀️
Kaitlynn Same! I have an exam in the morning but I’m here 😭
Same 😂
Chrissy Dje 💀💀how did you do?
Me rn🤣
Me too
Eliyah’s adoption story 🥺 been hooked ever since
I love yall ethics, thanks for sharing.
I agree
I feel like that what works for your home with adopting younger kids .. however growing up in and out of foster care and finally my parent rights being terminated when I was older was hard because everybody wants younger kids.. never got a forever home and being separate from my biological sis and brother who were adopted as they were younger by multiple different families make u isolated and mess up ur connection to ur siblings because ur dont have a strong bond. That why I worked hard in the state of tn telling my story to prevent that from happening with sibling groups and helping changing policies.
Christy said "Time Block" great description of how she manages everything as a mother of 5, plus husband.
I recently joined the fam base when she had 45k, i just hade the video of how you do your daughter's hair... i have binge watching all of her videos, never really comments but after the video i really can resist the need to... i love your dynamique and ideolgy... glad to see your channel growing... ❤ love from Haiti
The first video I saw was the African American hairstyle. My daughter is mixed and this was relatable. Also it’s nice to support someone local in my area.
Congratulation friends! I'm SOOOO excited for you! I love being able to call you my friend. 🎉💕🎉💕 100k! 1million next!
200k next :/ lol
You all look great together and happy love your videos ❣️
My favorite was Eliyah Adoption ❤️ also Sisters emotional adoption
Hey Mama 😊. The first video I came across was the hair routine + tips for foster and adoptive moms and at that moment, you won me over. I hit that subscribe and notification bell so fast 😂 and immediately looked for your IG page. Due to this Coronavirus, I’ve had plenty of time to sit back and watch your videos, to get caught up on and it melts my heart, the love and compassion you both have for this and your kids. I’m also considering fostering/adopting due to my struggle with conceiving and could learn a lot from you guys. Thanks!
First video I ever saw was a DITL when i think Ace was wanting you to tie his shoes and he threw a fit 😂 and the way you handled it (I LOVED) I sent the video to my mom like *COUGH COUGH* notes. Take them.
Tiny Renee 😂😂😂
Back to school natural hair styles natural twist
You guys are great parents, what an awesome family
The first video I saw was “why I changed our twins names”. I’ve fallen in love with your channel. Such a beautiful family ❤️❤️
You did a few hair styles on your daughter hair and I was glued to your channel ever since
I just began watching your page. I love your family dynamic. You as a mixed hue couple adopting children of other hues. People forget that we are ALL one race HUEman...Thank you for loving these children.
You two make a great couple. You can see the balance.
The first video I watched was you doing your daughters hair. I was in awe and always thought she looks like rihanna when she was younger. LOVE FROM LONDON!!
Such a Beautiful Family, The Heavenly Father in Jehovah and Jesus Continues to Bless you All Always.💝
Tally G amen.🙏🏽❤
First video I ever saw was you showing how to do Eliyahs hair in rope twists 💙
KaniciaBeLike love that video! I’m hooked ❤️
My fish one is "Eliya's wash hair" I love it! by the way I'm a new subscriber
I LOVE how y'all answered the diversity questions 👌 Some people really judge & stretch the truth when it comes to the topic
People don’t really understand that when you grow up in Cali and go to school, you grow up with an international classroom.
My bio son is multiracial (black, Puerto Rican, and white) and both myself and my current husband are white. We also live in a mostly white area. I told our agency that we have a preference for children of color and everyone freaked out. It's not because I wouldn't love a white child as much; it's because I would like my son to have at least one person in the house that looks like him and so that both children have something in common. Also, I live in WV. I would rather a child be here than in the middle of the state somewhere where there isn't any diversity at all.
WV is not a very diverse state, great diverse communities in California and also New Jersey, Pennsylvania
That is hard you should think of moving
First vid i ever saw was "Solo mom evening routine with 5 kids" it was in my suggestions. I watched it and subscribed. literally love all the personalities in the family. best wishes.
The first video that I watched of yours was only 3 days ago & it was:
“BASIC AFRICAN AMERICAN KIDS HAIR CARE ROUTINE + TIPS FOR FOSTER & ADOPTIVE MOMS /CHRISTY GIOR”. I’m a new subscriber. And this is only the 3rd video for me on your channel. Been watching 1 video a day for the past 3 days. I have enjoyed them all!😊💕
Autumn Dae snap. That was the first video I saw 3 days ago too
Same!
@@danielledamian9068 actually that was my first video. Yesterday 10/2/20
Wash day natural hair routine!!! Curly hair products!!! Love you guys!!
This Q&A just made me love you guys even more. Your hubby seems like a pretty cool guy...and I absolutely love everything about your channel❤
The first video I seen was when you were doing your daughters hair and explaining why it was so important to learn about African-American hair and how to make her feel confident in her skin and knowing that her hair is power. I just fell in love I have seen many people from different races adopt African-American children loving them but not truly understanding the importance of our hair and what it means to us. That video was the first time I ever seen someone speak on that.
Yayyy, this is the first time my question has ever been answered in a video ever. Thank you so much for being so open and thorough with your audience. I pray for your guy’s safety.
Wow how can you not love this family! I'm hooked and subscribed and following on IG 🙏🏽🖤
My first video was Eliyah‘s hair twist. And cried the whole day. . Love love the whole family.
You two are a blessing from above ❤️
And those sweet kid's are blessed to have you two as parents ❤️
Structure is GREAT for kids. In the future if you do not discipline your kids, now then society or the courts will. Keep doing your job mom and dad!! A GREAT JOB!!
I love you guys so cute....I always cut off my hubby when he's talking too....cause you know we can just say it better.... Hahahaha🤣
mama Marcano lol - I’m working on that 😆
I always wanna speak for my bf too. Idk! Lol
My fiancé is a Gemini so it's hard to talk over him lol but I do sometimes 😂 especially when he trails off or gets quiet. Bad habit lol but hey, he listens to me and I listen to and respect him always. In all honesty when our man is our best friend, we talk a lot lol.
Btw, I love how keep your house neat and clean . I admire how you put everything in place 👍🏻👍🏻
Yeah, she’s teaching them to appreciate what they have 👌
My First video was a "Solo Mom" video a few months ago, when I first started watching you guys had around 40k and I was thinking you deserve way more than! I can't believe you're at 100k already in such a short space of time. I wish you guys all the love and support, continue being the great people that you are.❤ Love from the Caribbean🌴
The thing is she isn’t a solo Mum she is married!
I’ve been binge watching you guys all day. So much love!
You’re family makes me very excited to start my own. Being able to see you and your family grow and blossom makes me feel very much apart of your family. Thank you for sharing your life with us. The first video I watched was your summer morning routine after that I have watched almost every single one of your videos.
The first video I saw was you doing your little girls African-American hair and I was amazed. Being African American myself and finally going natural after being relaxed since I was about 11 I’m just now realizing what it takes to nourish our hair and to see you do it for your child.....It is a lot of work and means a lot to me and to all of us African American women out there. Thank you 💜
I’m a young girl from South Africa I really really enjoy watching morning/ night routine videos so it was no Suprise when your solo morning routine popped up in my recommendations, That was the first ever video I watched and immediately got hooked. I loved watching how you get up and how the older kids could help prepare themselves.❤️ I still look forward to more of your daily routines❤️
I have ALWAYS spoke of our bm in the highest regard. She gave me the best gift in life.
Wow came across eliyahs twist , and been hooked ever since love this families vibe .
I raised my Haitian girls before RUclips or much help was out there, but learned as I went how to do different hairs styles - it was wonderful. Now I'm raising my bi-racial granddaughter and turned to the computer to see if there was anything instructional. The first video I looked at was "Chizi Duru 'White Mom Natural Hair Care for Black Child'". What fun! First time I saw you and was so excited to have demonstrated exactly what I needed!! I immediately ordered some of the products you recommended and loved how my granddaughters' hair turned out! Thank You so much for taking the time!
It was very interesting listening to your husband also and it warms my heart. Blessings to you all!
Coming from a grown adult now who was a child in a long term foster family.( I was a lucky one) I appreciate everything you guys do. It is not easy doing what you do. Much love in your road ahead and what you do.
Your children are so blessed to have such a loving family!! Blessings to you both!
Ok I gotta say something because I can’t stay quiet but YOU GUYS ARE SO CUTE! I love you guys!
I think you guys are amazing parents. Your Children are blessed to have you both.
I heard her ask my question and i smiled from ear to ear....
The first video I saw on your channel was the African American hairstyles video and I was hooked from there! The way you talked about caring for ALL your kids and the different types of hair care required for each individual child was just beautiful. All I could think was "Wow, she's a great mommy😻"...I hope they tell you that everyday!❤❤❤
i had seen you in my recommendations for awhile so than i finally clicked on a video which was the "my Sunday routine as a stay at home mom of a large family / how i prep my kis for the week .. and i loved that video so i watched all of your videos back to back till i ran out .. love your channel.
NOT strict! You’re organized and scheduled and this makes kids feel secure and happy. You’re great :)
The first video I watched was the Sunday routine from a few weeks ago. When you said you washed your children’s backpack weekly, I subscribed instantly bc the clean freak in me was impressed haha. But what hooked me was how you cared for your daughter’s hair. (That video went viral. I even noticed people mentioning it in the comments of other RUclipsrs pages) From the braiding to the bonnet, I could not stop smiling. & Eliyah’s sweet sweet soul radiates through each video. Giveaway or not, I think it’s so important that you know you’re doing a great job!
I never once thought you guys were strict. You seem like normal parent's. One of the reasons I subscribed iss because you seem like fun, young family. It's clear when you took that long break for months that you put your family over RUclips which I can't say for a lot of these youtube vloggers
First vid I ever saw was "We lost the girls".
Every home has rules. Most homes that neglect rules and every member is allowed to act however they want with no structure at all are likely to raise irresponsible individuals. So yess! I support you guys having your own way of doing things and that shouldn't be seen as strict. How ever inviting God in in helps to maintain balance. You guys are awesome 😍
P.s. Next Q&:A where both of you are present, hubby should have a chance to talk too. Trust him more to tackle questions
I first found you through your what I got my kids for Christmas this year. Then I spent days binge watching and fell in love with your family. I dont miss a video now!!
very wholesome family. Def the best RUclips family. Not built off of lies and toxicity and forcing children in uncomfortable situations. Love the mom especially. They love their children and it shows.
Foster journey series about the youngest two, because I'm in the process of becoming a licensed foster mom and believe in getting all the knowledge I can gather to make me a better foster parent
Wow I love your videos. I just came across them. I am a 55 yr old mom...kids in their 20s...and you are doin it right! You guys are thoughtful parents. I love how you think things through and treat your kids how you wd like to be treated. Also important for them to see a loving relationship. That’s how they will learn to treat their significant other. The world needs more parents like you guys.
