Regarding the zoom position locking switch, it actually locks at any of marked positions on the lens barrel (150mm, 180mm, 200mm, 250mm, etc). I use mine for astrophotography, so being able to lock the lens at a desired focal length is extremely useful when the lens may spend several hours pointing straight up at the stars. Really a tremendous lens at its price point.
If you have a canon two times extender, it will work or EF mount on a canon and double your distance you have to account for your lighting and also auto focus does not work when you add the two times extender
Alot of people who have reviewed this beautiful glass have all said that it's hand holdable... I disagree with them (and agree with you!) Holding this lens and trying to get a perfect shot without cranking up the shutter speed is extremely difficult. I do agree that it's comfortable in the hands but I think it should have been made to "push / pull" for quicker zoom.
@@kasinathan4132 No at all, they are both the same quality. I have the Contemporary on order after doing a ton of research. I feel like I have chosen the right lens. I definitely don't want to haul around a lens that is over 6 pounds, that is to much
I'm relieved after seeing this video because I just ordered this lens, but then I was worried it wouldn't work with the FTZ mount and my Z6. I assume it worked fine with your Z6?

Thank you for taking the time to review this lens. As I am in the progress of buying this type of lens, it will make a difference in my choice!

Thank you. I bought it in Italy after seeing your review! All works really well on my Z6 II. Thanks again.
i guess Im pretty off topic but do anyone know of a good website to watch newly released series online ?
Love mine... I shoot at 600mm handheld and get some great bird images...
I have the Z7II and have been looking for a review like this. Thank you! I bought one and was anxious that it wouldn't work.
6:30 , The end section of the lens is actually designed for push and pull
Great presentation , just purchased this lens and for the price it is superb 👍
Loving the panning sound effect, Bob! XD
I appreciate this 1st look . Love to know about using this for video.... Thanks for the wide product range as well
The Sports version is a lot heavier, has full weather sealing and a 105mm filter thread as opposed to 95mm on the contemporary version
any different in image quality?

@@kasinathan4132 there is a difference. Specially at 600mm. Go to lens vs lens to compare
Great review Bob!

Probably too late now, it works fine on my Z50 with FTZ adapter
I just received this lens for my z6 and it wont auto focus! Can some help me
Nicely done but several instances of incorrect/incomplete info. Maybe research first, video later? Good presentation except for the factual lapses.
Nice panting sound great review
we did a shoot with Moe Notanis !
Good vid
Lens is slow and fuzzy
Thanks for an interesting first look at this lens. Your video would be more enjoyable without the swear words.
I am really sorry, a slip of the tongue with this review, I am normally very careful, it wont happen again
I just watched this review - didn't hear any swear words?
