What a surprising chapter! The fight was excellent, and the revelation that the cats are alive was genuinly shocking for me. I wonder if Araki is lampooning one of his own tropes here by revealing that the bad guy killing an animal to show how ruthless and bad they are was a fake out and using that as justification that they aren't actually all that bad. Also I am positively surprised by how observant and intelligent Paco is. At first, I thought he would be a bit of a dumb guy comic relief character, like Okuyasu, but I was wrong. Despite his appearance, he isn't some dumb jock who is just the muscle of the group.
definitely, he seems dumber than he is, and he has a very street smart intelligence that will come in handy in times like this. i bet paco has a more well researched type of intelligence that will be more useful out of combat, like when they were experimenting withe the rock
When the lava rock owner first appeared I began to realize he has some parallels with Bruno Bucciarati. He first intimidates Jojo with severed parts and can appear to wear someone else over him. He also claims to be from the mafia or some other organization. Now he gets spared because he's not all bad and might know useful info for the MC's goal.
It's crazy to think that if this guy does join as a party member, this will be the first time since Foo Fighters that a fight has led into a character becoming a major ally. I wish I could count Hot Pants but she's too infrequent and not with Johnny/Gyro enough to count. So in other words, something like this hasn't happened in JoJo in over 20 years.

I really want to know the name of the "enemy" stand it's one of the best stands I've ever seen op in the hands of someone creative but weak in the hands of a uncreative person. Like survivor from part 6 dio though it was the weakest stand but pucci found the best way to use it.

Another reason the watch is with the fish could be that there is something that may neutralize the rocks affect like "if it's in sea water" or something and this the watch is no longer under it's affects. This also might be useful story rise so they have a way to store the rock without it constantly affecting all things of value to it. Though I have no evidence for this of course.
i always thought it made sense to end at 9 since parts are always in trilogies 1-3 vampires 4-6 stand arrow 7-9 alternate universe there wont be enough time for a 10-13

While I think the idea of the new villain being a rock human who can be redeemed is cool, it doesn't seem likely since all of them are supposed to be selfish psychopaths by nature. Imo, it's most likely a sand manipulation stand like the fool or tomb of the boom. If he is a redeemed rock human, it would make sense for him to betray the group later on, only pretending to be their ally, which would be an interesting twist because we've never really had a real major character betrayl in the series before.
Something that seems curious to me is that we still don't know the name of the enemy or his stand, so I think it is likely that in chapter 12 he will join the team and reveal his name and the name of his stand to the team. In all parts of Jojo's, new allies appear halfway through the adventure, so it wouldn't seem bizarre to me for this guy to join the group, despite not being part of the group from the beginning

My favorite is definitely Smooth Operators moving Dragona's wound from her neck to the bottle, now that is some classic JoJo shit

I'm 3 months late to say this but in my opinion, regardless of Dragona's gender, attraction to them is more indicative of an attraction to women than to men if you consider the actual appearence of people
I very much disagree with you on a fact that watch coming to fisherman is part of some plan of them coming back. In my opinion, watch now are not valuable for Enemy (let it be his name, since we have no clue on his real one). Lava rock works like a magnet for valuables, but that doesn't mean it has to cost a lot. It works on staff that owner thinks is more valuable. So for the one who is fighting a new knife would be much more valuable than some watch.
In part 3 there was no healing stand, and the part suffered from it. Characters would take serious injuries and then be totally fine the next part, it doesn't make sense.

They're fighting a guy with what should be a dangerous knife, but once we find out about the healing any apprehension that there might be lasting consequences to this particular battle evaporates. Once you've seen a character stabbed through the neck but end up fine, you can rarely know when something serious has actually occurred and most fights don't actually feel dangerous. It's like how if there's been one fakeout death in a series, when a character dies for real you're not immediately sad like the author wants you to feel but instead wondering if they're actually dead or not.
