I wish the creators hadn't gotten weird with the chronology of this season, and I wish the actors could have either waited until all their schedules were clear to begin filming or prioritized this show over other projects. I also wish that season four hadn't tried to pick up IMMEDIATELY after season three's finale, but that's a lesser issue that mostly has to due with suspension of disbelief. Season four of Aressted Development had some amazing moments, but the chemistry and perfect Rube Goldberg-like writing was missing. Netflix's attempt at a re-edit didn't really help much, either; a lot of people got excited and thought it would elevate season four to the heights of the original three seasons, when it was really just more of the same. With all the characters off doing their own things, the show felt hollow. The core of the original series was the family dynamics and interactions. Take that away, and what do you have left?
@@heatherperleberg7816 no it picks up immediately after George Michael and Micheal turn around their boat they were supposed to “escape” together in. It’s all very jumbled and not chronological so it’s confusing. The start of season 4 is 5 years ahead of time but they do show the whole five years that happened between then and that moment 5 years after, at cinco de cuatro
I mean, nobody thinks you're wrong. Even everyone who likes S4 knows it doesn't match the first three. But it's just empty wishing. All the actors had much larger careers, and couldn't abandon them. I'm fine with three amazing seasons, I'd almost prefer it ended where it did.
@@jebediahkrimsoncraftleding3012 really? I used to agree but I for example do kinda like season 5. Obviously it’s very different and I think expectations should be managed before watching it but if you go in without prejudice I think it’s really enjoyable

Gob's stammering moments were always great comedy, but it didn't hit right here. He (Will) seemed off his game here. Like he wasn't in the character zone again.
