Yeah, I just rewatched it for the 3rd time and I'm sure I still didn't get all the double meaning and references. I just can't believe some human can actually come up with such complex plots and tricks with language.
Woody Harrelson just told Arnett and team that this is the funniest moment in TV history and he does it all the time with people even though they don’t understand what he is doing. He also acted this out with Will at a birthday party held by Bono.
Wow the ending of this made me laugh so hard. His Christ pose, the way he was just engulfed by all those people without any emotion, while Ron Howard’s lines over it were just great. Hysterical
I don't think he was supposed to emotionless. I think Arnett is mimicking the "I'm suffused with ecstasy" feeling that evangelicals sometimes (claim to) experience. He's sated, for once.
Woody Harrelson says this is his funniest/favorite sitcom scene ever. (He also tells a great story of doing the scene with Will Arnett at Bono's house in the south of France on the Smartless podcast which is worth a listen.)
Yo the fact that they even brought back the dude in the background at 2:32 (the one who put his arm aroung George Michael when they were singing hymns at Ann's Christmas party in season 2) is genius...
"Huh. Arrested Development. I never watched that show. Maybe I should check some out to see if I like it..." *innocently clicks this Best Moment video* "Is...he having a stroke?"
IMO, Season 4 was good. Great, even. Those who disliked it just didn't like the change of format. That was the main complaint. But I, who isn't afraid of change, welcomed it readily. Granted, the first few episodes made you wonder where the hell it was going, but once everything started falling into place, I fell in love with the season!
musicaltheatergeek79 That Tobias singing it’s just a fallacy at the beginning is one of the best things to come from the new format. I actually liked it.
@@musicaltheatergeek79 I agree. Season 4 is in fact my favorite. They took what made arrested development arrested development and dialed it up a notch. Mind blowing season.
one of a.d's flaws as a show that needs to garner audience is that so many jokes are reliant upon the fact they are running jokes......like if you just started watching this and this was the first episode you saw, maybe you would find this breakdown really weird and kinda funny. But its real value is in watching past episodes and knowing the running joke.
"How'd you like your egg?" I said you were fine. Fucking dead lmao
It took me like 5 seconds to laugh at that. Lol this show is so funny
Hahahahaha made my day

The timing was perfect, right in the middle of the breakdown

Easily my favorite Gob line🤣
Cmon-cmon-come-come-comeon

That Gob breakdown was one of the more incredible moments from season 4, glad someone put it up :]
Omg ily Guy :D
So glad to know you enjoy the show!
I always thought so too. I had to see it twice. I stood up and clapped.
I think he was uncomfortable with the question.
He was just concerned about making a huge mistake.
somehow I pictured gob's chicken dance when you said you stood up and clapped
The density of jokes in this show is just too much to handle sometimes, haha

Yes! 😂
I love how Arrested Development pinned the "Sound of Silence" depression gag before it became popular.
Hell they invented it
if you think they invented it, check out Old School; both are pretty rock bottom moments
ruclips.net/video/STAwNz8n-4Y/видео.html
I think they're quoting the last scene of The Graduate
You guys are ridiculous. This song paired up with depressing realization scenes since the 60s
Lol. It’s a reference to The Graduate. Similar to the way George Michael hangs his head like Charlie Brown to Peanuts music.
"Hey mouth!"
Mouth Bluth
It was at this moment I knew no one in the world could have played G.O.B as incredibly as Will Arnett did.
It must have been hard for Mae to keep a straight face in that scene

Will Arnett's acting in this scene is absolute gold standard.
Props to actually having 12 family members as 12 apostoles
And Plant as Mary Magdalene.
The shot of the eggs at the end. Perfect
"Oh hey mouth.." bahhaahha jason bateman is one in a billion. What a fucking guy.

“How did you like your egg?” “I said you were fine”. Glorious
13 persons hug GOB. Jesus had 12 disciples and 1 Mary Magdalene. Maybe Ann is her and the rest are disciples. It's 3am here, I am buzzed.
Captain Obvious her?
He also spreads his arms out like Jesus on the cross

Smartless, funniest podcast around
I JUST listened to this episode and came to find the scene. GOLD!
Haha I just listened to that podcast and found the video too
also arnett said this was a really bad day for him (personal problems?) which makes this all the more iconic
I just listened to Smartless yesterday and came for the clip. It didn’t disappoint.
"Come on. Come on." Frickin BRILLIANT. Hilarious as always. There is only one Will Arnett.
My favorite thing about Season 4 is hearing Tobias singing his "fallacy" song in the background

Is egg's father Alan Tudyk? God this show had some awesome cameos.
trha2222 he is talking about Ann's father (Egg's father)

Mrs Veal is certainly willing to do some secular things to Gob.
