I like the little detail that Lucille and George Sr love GM and Maeby but rarely express it because they’re so caught up in their own problems. I love the little split second scenes in s1 where Lucille is smiling really big and getting kisses from GM, the grandkids visiting her occasionally because of problems of their own but she doesn’t mind because it’s someone other than Buster to talk to throughout the season as well.
It’s an (old) stereotype that most porters(train employees who help passengers) are African Americans and the debate to tip them and what not. Pretty obscure.
Back in the day black people that work in train wouldn't be paid very well and most of the time their only payment was tips... and the clientele didn't believe that black people were deserving of some tipping of their money.
1:57, Lucile, "We ordered you to leave!" Buster, "Yeah, but then you whispered, "Don't pull out." Gob: "Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" The funniest thing I've seen in any sitcom!
I thought the line was “Your one year of law school is gonna beat Barry’s three tries?” cause Barry never even went to a legit law school and Michael really could be a better lawyer than him if he wanted to.
Haha the scene where GM gets a check for a new car epitomizes the show so well. Tobias looks quite happy for him, Maeby looks happy for him (as GM and Maeby seem like the only ones who really about each other), while Lindsay and Gob don't really give a shit.
I liked the remixed version of season 4 and season 5 while not their best was still well written and seeing how grateful they were to come come back together and do it was great. It kind of turned into a different show after season 3 but was still a good show.
This is so well done! This scene was infinitely better than anything else in Season 4 except Gob’s wedding to Egg. If it had all been like this it would have been a classic
@@Ajee02 I believe the original edit can be found in the trailers section on Netflix. I would highly recommend trying it. It's how the season was meant to be viewed and even if it's not as good as the other 4 seasons it's far better than the remix.
Gob and Michael are so exactly like me and my younger brother that it's uncanny. I'm the aging struggling artist, he's the patient voice of reason who keeps the family together, and our mother is most definitely a Lucille type.
@@hannahrose7776 yeah that was probably the motivation for splitting it too. But the blocking of the scene Is a major part of the humor and having it all at once weakens that
This feels like it could have been perfect as a DVD extra, I wonder if they ever planned something like that for this scene but never could work it out
"Did you know about this?!" "Noooo... I've been tipping them. Even a waiter?" Then the black workers walk out at just the right minute lmaoo "so long."
Two subtilities I noticed: 1)at the beginning when Mickaël explains maritime law, he stands up to talk as if in a court room arguing he should have been the lawyer 2) when Lucille comments after Buster's speech that he should wear the army uniform so that she can pretend to be proud, he reacts with irritation, maybe because her comment is demeaning, but what he expresses is not that, it's the guilt to have lost the uniform, this reaction to accept and make an outsidr critics a self conscious assessment, is typical of an abusive relationship...
please correct me if I'm wrong, but this is not a kitchen
You are absolutely right and I had no idea where I came up with it…🤣
Lol
Has Morpheus414 ever even seen a kitchen?
First use of the word “stimmy”
in season 4, don’t think so lol
The “loose seal” and the lost hook absolute great writing
I just noticed Lucille said to buster “& keep your ball joke to yourself, Andrew ‘Diced’ Clay” 😂😂
I love how different characters just appear and disappear as the scene progresses
RIP Jessica Walter, you were absolutely iconic. xx
I watched Archer for years. Miss Walter's voice-over work on Archer was always great. Her character was one of my favorites on the show as well...
I had no idea she passed and your comment just advised me :(
"By the time I got back, the court room was reverted back to a crab restaurant." The writers are amazing with these little details.
Oh, hey mouth. I didn't see you sitting there
We rode up in the elevator together.
I'm blanking.
Yeah... me and Blank are getting the old Christian magic act back together...
I love how they call Anne EVERYTHING but Anne during the entire show lol.
Her?
Who?
Egg?
Egg

You brilliant so-and-so!
only just noticed Tobias is wearing the Shemalè shirt. this show just keeps giving.
I'm like #500... I have finally accomplished something
they didn't have to go that hard...but...they did it for us 😢
I felt like they went a little overboard with the self referential humor in season 4, and pushed way too hard with it in seaaon 5.

The whole “loose seal-Lucille” reoccurring joke is so funny
The best is George Micheal saying Hi to Buster. He is so understated and so funny
He was trying not to laugh
Holy shit that part is amazing
Only part that I laughed at in the entire video honestly. Love the first three season, but the Netflix seasons just didn't hit the same.
People hate season 4, and it certainly isn't as strong as the first 3, but it still has some great moments.
The shemale shirt made an Appearance! I love how little things like that will just pop up here and there.
Honestly, I think S4 is my favorite. I watch more clips from this season than the others.
*start singing happy birthday*

I love Liza Minnelli for this role. Such a great sport and nobody wobbles quite like she does.
Oh hey Mouth.
It's as nose as the Ann on plain's face!
"You wouldn't tip an African American would you?"
"Of course I would"
"... On a train?"

It’s also a general jab at racism among the rich white people in Newport Beach
the fact they start singing happy birthday kills me

The way George Michael shows the check to maeby 🥺
i love how maeby was the only one in that room he could truly confide in by the end, it’s so sweet
the funniest thing was Michael Cera saying hi.
Hahahaaaaaaa he's so uncomfortable!
I love it that Ann just sits on the floor between the coffee table and the couch.

Her?
This was really good! I wish Fateful Consequences had just done exactly this.
I thought the line was “Your one year of law school is gonna beat Barry’s three tries?” cause Barry never even went to a legit law school and Michael really could be a better lawyer than him if he wanted to.
I think it meant Barry failed a lot so it took him a long time to clear the one year course.
"Oh your one year of law school is going to beat Barry's three?"

Oh dear god, I totally missed that. I was too distracted by the hilarious banner running gag
I never realized Kristen Wiig played young Lucille. 😂
She gets it down greay
The grinch scene is some of her best work
Wow I never realized that was her in this scene, then she shows up later as a young Lucille again in the later seasons lol
And Seth is young George Bluth. Then later they’re played by the real married couple Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother) and Taran Killam (SNL).
@@atrain84 Well, Cobie and Killam didn't play George and Lucille, they played actors who were playing them in a tv show or something.
Some of the best comedy writing ever on tv. And a perfect cast.

This entire kitchen scene should've been part of just one episode, not span out multiple ones.
Hard disagree. Returning to the scene to see new perspectives and realize other people were there and the point of the party made it funnier.
