Episode 8: we return to our boat in Vigo, Spain, and go on a shopping trip on our electric bikes.

We had arrived in Vigo and berthed in marina Punta Lagoa, on 8th January 2024. However, we then had to fly home since our EU days were used up!
We returned to our boat in Vigo in late April, to start another 90 days in the EU, and had to stock up with supplies. We were berthed in Marina Punta Lagoa which is quite isolated but there is a good Lidl's supermarket about 2km away and so we used our bikes whenever going shopping. One obvious reason for that is simply that you have to navigate a substantial hill whether you go by road or choose to go via the cycle track. We always went the cycle track route up through the eucalyptus woods with superb views of the marina and Ria Vigo.
The bikes just weigh 15kg and fold up for convenient stowage. They really have been a game changer when in the marina. Without them the shopping would have been quite hard work. As it was they made it great fun.
Watch it to the end because I got a bit over confident with the downhill run back to the marina!
