    I am a 64 year female and I was able to take the deck down and diagnose the problem why it didn't engage (belt slipped off). Fixed it and had the young men from church put it back together. Thanks so much for your video!!

    Thank you for this video! I looked at several of them before taking off my deck, but this one showed things very clearly and I will be looking at it again when I put the deck back on. I'm 76 and eventually get things figured out, but I would have starved to death if I tried to actually make a living in the trades. Again thanks!

    My deck fell down on one side as I was mowing and I thought something expensive broke. After watching this I figured out it was just a "bow-tie" clip that popped off. I put that side back together and stuck a cotter pin in there, and I'm mowing again. Thanks!

    Great instructions; have similar deck, wanted to remove blades for sharpening. Your video and demo were well done. Tried to remove blades without removing deck, but bolts were on way too tight. Eventually had to use torch to heat bolts and breaker bar.

      I have been there and done that. It does suck. I would reccomend using a anti seize lubricant on the threads of the blade shaft to help them come off easier next time. Thank you for watching and the kind comment. Please give this video a like, subscribe if you haven'y yet and share my channel with your friends to help it grow. It would be greatly appreciated.

      There is a video a guy put a six inch c clamp with a piece of 2x4 outside the deck. The blade locks against the c clamp.

    I'm having a problem on the other side (drivers side) connecting the rod to the bracket to the piece with the teeth to raise shd lower the deck, any suggestions?

  • @peteraustin767

    I have the same mower and appreciate the video. My issue is the blades keep turning when not engaged; I figured it is because the new belt(I got the mower used and didn’t have this problem before although the belt was very well worn before it broke.
    How do you adjust the belt tension?
    Also the brake pedal sticks and I have to pull it back with my toe, any ideas? Thanks

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  9 месяцев назад

      It is impossible to diagnose without seeing the machine but I can give a few suggestions. There are no adjustments for belt tension for this model. It is a manual spring loaded cable. If the tension is too tight, you either have the incorrect belt? (I always suggest buying the original manufactures belt) or you put the belt on incorrectly? or the blade engagement cable is frozen and not releasing? or the mower deck has other issues? The second question you have is the pedal issue. I have only seen that issue if the transmission belts are not the correct size due to not putting the original manufacture belts on? or the variable drive pulley is not working correctly. When and if you figure it all out, please let me know.

    I have the T150...my issue is when I disengage blades from spinning, they seem to still spin (not full speed, but still spin) what do you think is causing this?

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  Месяц назад

      Debris may be keeping blade brakes from working properly or brakes are sticking for some reason?. Incorrect belt size (too short) if the belt was recently replaced? Blade engagement cable not releasing all the way?

  • @user-or7cy6dx4e
    @user-or7cy6dx4e 6 месяцев назад +1

    You don’t have to take that nut off of that bracket to get the belt off just go on the other side goes in a hole and just with your hand just put it in and it comes out of the hole and you can move it backwards where it’ll be out-of-the-way, you can get your belt off

    Thanks for the video! After I did this I'm having trouble raising and lower my deck any advice?

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  Год назад

      Double check everything you did. If it wasn’t doing it before you removed the mower deck it is obviously something you did not do correctly upon reinstalling.

    • @Doddreal3429
      @Doddreal3429 Год назад

      @JohnsonsSmallEngines ok I will. The belt is real tight. Could that be part of the problem?

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  Год назад

      The belt should not be tight unless it is engaged.

    • @Doddreal3429
      @Doddreal3429 Год назад

      @JohnsonsSmallEngines the belt is tight period engaged or not. I am going to rewatch the video and try again in case I missed something.
