Pettersson worked hard but missed the net again on a glorious chance. Both goalies will probably be better next game. The takeaway is that the Canucks are competitive, so who knows where it goes from here.
I hate the narrative that McDavid wasn't a factor and they almost won. How about, Canucks shut down McDavid? Or how about Hughes, Petey and Hronek weren't factors, and Demko is out, and the Canucks still won.
Hronek and Hughes were actually largely responsible for helping shutdown McDavid though.
Yeah that is the main thing for me, we’re missing Demko and are watching petey do nothing and yet still won the game. Depth matters so much
I bet the NHL wishes this next game was on Saturday, although all the second round series are awesome.
