I have the same approach towards birthdays as Halle. I've never had a birthday party nor do I want one. Family & friends always encourage me but I turn them down..kindly. I guess everyone has different preferences.

I'm the same way. Growing up, Mom always found the time to have a cake and presents for us, as a widow mother of four. But as an adult now, I never had a traditional birthday for myself. I'm just grateful for being alive, and the blessings in my life. Halle is always enjoyable to watch on screen, always looks wonderful. I especially enjoy her talk shows, and the episode in "Hot Ones", I could not go the distance.
