Great review, I’ve had a few Case knives and they all had some play, mass produced in Bradford Pa

Made in PA, another reason I had to get one!

Unfortunate, annoying and time-consuming fact of life. Although online vendors will gladly exchange merchandise, it really is a hassle. Recently I've been purchasing Case knives in person, which allows me to reject the rejects before I even shell out the greenbacks.

Skinner/spey blade is supposed to be canted to keep your hand up higher from the work. Quality control has been spotty since the 80's, even on the pocketworn and "Select" knives that they supposedly put more time and effort into. I don't buy newer Case through the mail now. Just cherry-pick in person. I have not had blade play like that though

Downward Angle On Spey Blade Is Normal. Blade Play And Rounded Tip Is Not.

Case knives always come with a strong burr. It sucks but it’s what they do. You have to put your own edge on it first thing

A fact of life, and I rather enjoy spending that quality time with my new knife. Hone the blade, oil the pivot, polish the brass. Good times indeed.

No play in mine at all and blades are perfectly centered! Cuts paper like a scissors! Got mine at Ace hardware! Maybe that's why you paid $50.00 on line! You been had! Send it to Case and get a new one dude! 😐
