Paper Moon will always be one of my very favorites. Makes you feel like you're right there in the depression era, and the chemistry between Ryan and Tatum was perfect.
Thank you for the Heads up on Yojimbo in 4K, I just got Seven Samurai on Friday, Canada Post strike got in the way. But I don’t know about Yojimbo, which I love! I just ordered it. Thanks again.
I like all of your picks, but am still not sure how I feel about the apes move, I have been a massive Apes fan since I first saw the original on tv in the early 70’ s I also love the new trilogy, especially Rise, but I haven’t decided how I feel about the new one. Then again I have only watched it once. I should give it another look.
We love the fletch movies
Fletch movies are 3 for 3 in my book!
Star Trek Discovery is an abomination and should be wiped from our minds. I "hate watched it" just to see how bad things have gotten. It had WAY too much soap opera drama, gay relationships and centered too much on the feelings of minor crew members. Classic Star Trek had no agenda and EVERYBODY was equal, but the Captain was "boss" and there was no time to discuss decisions till kingdom come. I can say the same thing about Star Wars Acolyte. And NO, a don't like Trump and NO I don't hate the LGBTQ movement I just want a show without a certain agenda being showed down my throat and I don't like being preached to. Star Trek: Strange New World is A LOT better show that is all about FUN and doesn't take itself too seriously.
Brother, you said a mouth full. Kurtzman Trek did so much damage to that legendary series. And they kept throwing money at him to do it. They call themselves decanonizing it but everyone knows that wasn't Star Trek. The only thing good thing that came out of that was Terry Matalas writing and directing season 3 of Picard which pretty much ignored Kurtzman's version.
