This is so beautiful! I just got a top set dentures on January 17th, 2018. My teeth problems started as well with pregnancy, stripping enamel away, I have saliva that creates cavities and en ex smashed my head into the floor, chipped an eye tooth and that was it. You guys help me so much emotionally right now. Feeling sad and ugly when I take my denture out. I don’t want anyone to see. I’m happy that I’m not in pain and don’t have yucky teeth but still it’s bitter sweet! Much love ladies! Thank you 🙏

I myself have been in deep denial. All my life I had bad teeth but got worse when I became pregnant. Yesterday my front tooth fell out 😢 and I’m in a such a dark place. So Monday I plan to visit a place to talk about Dentures. I’m young and I’m scared. So please pray for me doing this journey. Thank you in Advance.

Renesha M The same thing happened to me and I’m only 32 & have a 15 year old Son who will obviously start dating soon and I don’t want him to be embarrassed to bring home a girlfriend and be embarrassed by my teeth, so yeah, I myself have also been in a very dark place and have cried the past week but I’m praying and trusting God. I pray everything works out for you Doll & you get back to life and your happiness comes back. Good Luck & God Bless You

Amy, your teeth are beautiful. You are Blessed that someone cared about you. I have reflux also, not to mention years of steroid use due to some severe diseases, I had lost most of my teeth. I begged for help but I couldn't afford to go from dentist to dentist to get help. I ended up trying the Go Fund Me thing from face book and ended up with $300, thats it! So I went to my church family and I got another $1,000, still not enough to get dentures. My husband had to get a loan from his 401K and I ended up with a dentist who had a coupon in a local flyer. This was the worst experience of my life! It only went from bad to worse....these dentures looked like horse teeth. They didn't fit, I was in constant pain, and I didn't know what to do. My husband had to go back and take another $5,000 from our 401K and I ended up at Aspen. I am still only in my temps because Aspen had to pull another tooth on the bottom that this first quack didn't pull. I hate these dentures too...they hurt and my mouth bleeds and I've told the dentist and they just keep adding more reline material. I just don't know what the answer is for people that can't afford to run to a bunch of dentists. I hate all the adhesives I have to shove in my mouth because of the fit. I have even used the DenSureFit that everyone is clammering about, but my teeth still don't stay in. Besides all that I haven't even begun to tell you how ugly I think these teeth are. It is so hard when you are sick to begin with and you have to look ugly too.
Well, I just had to get this off my chest because I am so saddened by the way I look now. I am married so I don't have to worry about dating, but shouldn't I be able to look pretty for my husband too, no matter how long we've been married? I thank God for a husband who loves me anyhow, not matter what! Again...you both are Blessed you could afford to get nice teeth.

Oh Faye... what a horrid world it is when profit comes before People, particularly where health and basic needs are concerned. Faye Jones I soooo know how you feel hon😕 hang in there and whatever you do fight for what you want...my problem was and is still with Aspen...they tell you one thing then try to push another...just because the dentures are a bit more affordable doesn't mean they have to look or feel horrible... I hope things get better for you...
please know you aren't alone in how you feel... if you ever need someone to talk to who understands please don't hestitate to contact me 😊~hugs~

Well done ladies! I'm 51 now and am just beginning this process. For me, it's been a challenge to get past the whole, "well, I'm over 50 now, what's the big deal with just taking what's available? I'm not so concerned with appearance any more, I can deal with simply adequate, right?" Wrong. I don't want to settle. For now, I'm saving money and dealing with several sets of Imako 'shape at home' slip ins, and while I'm grateful for them, I am anxious to move forward. It will take me a few years, but I am determined. Thank you for sharing~ Samantha Whitson

So 8 months ago a decide it to remove my teeth that I have been struggling with. Unfortunately the cost was to much. Until I did some research and I found out that here in Las Vegas the have dental school . So I walk in and the took my x-ray . And the gave me the cost to remove 15 teeth upper and lower .. the cost was amazing the total was 1975$ including my dentures.. I have to go back to get a new set because as you know your gums take some time to healed.. I made a appointment with them for next month. The are only going to charge me 950$ for my permanent dentures.. just wanted to share my story. And for the people that are thinking about getting dentures please be patient it's definitely a long process but at the end it's well worth...

This is so inspiring i'm turning 49 2/20/2019 my mouth is too a mess. I was told I needed an upper bridge due to a removal of a crown that got infected from being hit behind in a 5 car rear end accident on my way to work. I was car 5 of course the car that hit me had zero insurance. So i had already shelled out 1000's & 1000's up to that point.
So I paid 11500.00 in 2018 to get a permanent upper denture, when I went back to be measured for it & was told the original front tooth was not strong enough for the permanent bridge. so the suggested the all in 4 so I asked my ex fiancé to co sign a loan to get it all done at once, I had already paid the 11,500.00 in 2018 the additional loan approved for 22k, when I sat down to pick the color & shape which I was so excited about only to learn last month that the loan was only for the upper, & he was going give me a credit of 4k back from the 11,500.00 towards the "all on four" .
So the (this dentist) already had $11,500.00 this far in addition to what would have been $22,000.00 total for that dentist $33,500.00 that's not including what my insurance company already paid for the original extraction RX for the abscess.
at the same time my lower jaw had already been being worked on for a permanent lower bridge due to another root canal going bad, already paying for bone grafting in that too. so long story short.
I left the Dentists chair when I learns it was only for the upper & that same dentist had removed my temp bridge (lower) from my dentist that was helping me before the accident, they also told me the root canal was bad from the Endodontist I had also paid that dentist $1200.00 so here I sit my my 6 bottom front teeth.
to the left I have 1 back tooth 2 teeth that were shaved down exposed, the opposite side is one molar broken & hurting I need neck/ back surgery & have been deemed disabled 2 days ago! I'm at a complete loss, alone & miserable! Anyway thank you I appreciate this info.

Hey Kalinjax, I am a disabled retired special needs teacher. I have so many health problems that developed to the point of not being able to do anything. I cannot afford dental insurance or dental care. I would love to have what you have but I could never be able to afford it now. I paid so many student loans for years and my hubby had a heart attack and is slowly wasting away. My story sounds like a soap opera when the complete story is revealed. I am so glad you got your teeth. I have two of my grandchildren living with me and I receive no assistance for their care. I am 57 years old and I never smile or go out in public unless it is of vital importance. I worked so hard and the depression overwhelmes me sometimes. Keep helping as many as you can. I cannot wear dentures due to a health problem so when the teeth in front go then I will never go out unless it is an emergency. Good luck to you and those who can get help.

Kalinjax is my inspiration and motivation. I'm 32, and just like Amy, reached my limit of tolerance of who I've not allowed myself to be, because of my lack of self-confidence and rapidly deterorating health.
I finally caved and got all of my teeth pulled on the 13th, so one week ago exactly today, and now have my immediate dentures. I admit, it's been a hell of adjustment. I am still struggling with the change. I thought sure, I'll go through a few days pain but everything else will be great. It's not like that at all. I feel like the teeth are too big and don't fit right, even though I'm going through all the adjustments and religns. It's hard for me, seeing how different my face looks ATM, from completely swollen to almost sunken. I can't eat anything besides puree, and only with the teeth out. I can't speak well - in fact, it's made me not want to communicate at all. Wearing them hurts still, still going through bleeding. I don't feel like myself. I'm sad. I'm grieving. I'm second-guessing myself and my choice. I'm insecure with them and without. I'm afraid of what my husband secretly thinks, even though he's supportive and encouraging... doubt is easily spread around, especially if it starts within yourself. I'm stressed out about this change. I'm facing all my fears ,but also, stuck in this fearful state bc the change isn't immediate.
BUT I'm also optimistic and that's because of Kalinjax. She is keeping me going right now. I turn to her videos every day and reassure myself that things will get better. I will get better. My life will get better bc my outcome will ultimately be positive if I stick to my guns and follow my heart with my dental/health journey. Kalinjax reassurance is encouraging to me, I pray my story ends up like hers. Like Amy, I also feel like Kalinjax has changed my life. I'm glad to "have her with me" on this journey - her positivity, reassurance, honesty, sympathy...everything. She makes me feel like my feelings are real and valid, that it's OK to be 32 and wear dentures, it's OK to feel remorse and insecurity right now, and that I'm going to be OK in the end.

Hi Kristi! I had my first appointment with a wonderful dentist and his staff, 3 days ago! I had gone to a local dentist at a brand new office here in the town I live in, and I hated it! The dentist was not comforting at all, and I couldn't help thinking that I wouldn't want him looking after me. I watched a bunch of your videos that afternoon, and you were speaking with the lady dentist in Las Vegas, and she was saying if you don't find someone you're comfortable with, go to another one! So that's what I did. I called a Denturist's office, and asked them who they get great reviews on when people they get in from different dentists. They gave me the name of a doctor, and I looked up his web site and he sounded perfect! i got an appointment 3 hours later, and went in to meet the staff, had my jaw, neck, and teeth checked, and marked for work. When the dentist came in, he felt that we should save the ones on the bottom, but I only had 5 left on top, and they were basically garbage, so he recommended full uppers, and a partial plate on the bottom. I felt very comfortabe with that, and he said they could just add 2 extra teeth on the bottom plate I already have. What a difference!! I felt so much better about going there, and having them care for me. I am excited now about getting my immediate transition upper, and then look at a permanent set one year later. Now I'm excited about moving forward, and getting my smile back. Love you ladies!!

    Hi Kristin and Amy! I am making my rounds once again and catching up on your latest vids. I left a message on your most recent video explaining my situation but I will post it here as well in case you have not seen it. I love you and the work you are doing. I am considering starting my own denture journey channel as well. Here is my last post I left under one of your other vids;
I got immediate dentures three months ago and it has been a nightmare. The extraction procedure left me with a continuing numb sensation between upper lip and bottom of nose and the airway on the right side of my nose has collapsed, causing brand new breathing issues. My dentures are way too big and causing the bottom of my mouth to "bulge", the top denture is way too thick at the roof of my mouth, neither stay in while eating, speech impairments, etc. I am sooooo sad :( And I did this to improve my appearance and lifestyle after losing one of my children two years ago. The pain and mourning from that event really took a toll and as I began to heal from the mourning, I wanted to go ahead and take that leap into being a denture wearer in order to look and feel better as a women in my fifties. I don't know how to tell a quality denture from a cheap one because this all still new to me. You look amazing and soooo beautiful.

Being a single mother of 2 teenage boys, it's just not financially possible.. My kids come first! Maybe one day I'll have a smile as beautiful as urs, one of my dreams is to simply be able to smile back at my children. Congrats on ur new life!! Xoxo

Kaylyn Hill I'm sorry your going through all of that it can be so overwhelming not only physically but emotionally and unfortunately many times after extractions and dentures are placed the only source of information is what we find on our own many dentists don't provide information on life after extractions and can't relate like someone who has went through it. Hang in there it does get better and does take a lot of patience. I rinsed with warm salt water twice a day it seemed to help a bit and stayed away from anything that I had to chew. You. Have. Got. This. You have already accomplished so much by choosing yourself and your kids. I have had friends that have been in abusive situations and it is not easy to pull yourself out of that. You’re doing it. Starting over is scary. It might feel like you are building from nothing but you’re wrong. Everything you have gone through so far has made you incredibly strong, powerful, capable. Big things happen when you do small things repeatedly. Don’t think about the long term just yet. Focus on putting one foot in front of the other. Call around and ask about any promotions for new patients. Try to get a consultation and find out exactly what you need to do with your teeth. You have to know what you’re up against. Once you know that, you can start strategizing on what you can do to get you where you need to be.

omg Amy your story sounds so much like mine... I watched every one of Kristi's videos before/and while I was going thru the process...I was so lost...scared and although a couple close family members knew I had to get dentures, they had no idea what any of it would be like. I have had a terrible phobia/extreme fear of the dentist so I bounced from one to another too and of course the cost...when I was going through the process it was with a brand new dentist and boy does he have an attitude!!!!😕 not good for someone with my fears to begin with! When it was time for my perminants, after being told at the beginning I would pick color and tooth size!! I was then being told by THE DENTIST "I've picked age appropriate color for you!" 😲...all I could think of was Kristi's videos and her telling us never settle...so I spoke up and they tried telling me nope they didn't even carry whiter teeth or other shapes 😕....long story short yes they did after almost a complete break down on my part lol and some yelling lol...but I did get close to what they showed me...never fit right and not what I was told I was paying for so I just recently cancelled getting implants there after putting more then half down... I just kept watching these videos over and over and I realized there are good dentists out there...people who truly care about how WE the people who have to wear these dentures feel....so I decided I'm going to take my money and my mouth 😁 and find a place thats gonna make ME feel good!!!😊
You look fantastic hon and thank you so much for sharing your journey with us too, I know you know how great this is for the rest of us! God bless you both and thanks as always Kristi for all the help you've given to me with your videos... you're the best!😍

I want to get the ultimate package which is totally affordable for me. they want to pack my sockets to make sure I don't lose any bone in case I want to get implants down the road. the cost difference is 2500 without and 5100 with. Mine will be removable (snap on) and will soak them in the denture cleaner but do you use regular toothbrush and toothpaste? What about stain control? And do you still use the Listerine mouthwash? I want to be careful and take care of these. Thank you both again.

I have had denture since my late teens early 20’s, now I’m 50. I just got my lower implants March 7th 2019, they decided to do the lowers first because they needed to cut the ridge of the bone down to get 5 Nobel 5mm x 13mm implants in. Everything went great very little pain only used ibuprofen. Lower teeth were put in 6 days after surgery, now this I find hard trying to learn to eat and talk again. Don’t really know how to describe the feeling now that the teeth are screwed in, it’s not pain or discomfort it’s just an odd feeling. My upper is still a full denture because I need to have bone grafting and a sinus lift done before my implants can be placed. Actually looking forward to the two more surgery’s to be completed to have a mouth full of teeth on implants.

I've been following Kalin's story 4-5mobths ago and watched her videos and I was amaze with her story ! and her smiles is so contagious and I told myself I wanted that SMILE, as I watched her videos she mention about the materials used and the product , the company Ivovclar/ Vivadent Phonares Teeth , I did researched more and emailed some one , and I said to myself ,well maybe they will not answer me or just ignore me ! But only a few minutes I got an email from the company in New York and her name is Natale ZOELLA from corporate and she said if we could speak , she called me and I was trilled that some one from Ivoclar listened , I told her that I hate my dentures and I do not like my smile ! My dentist does not listen, that the dentures that was made from her clinic is not a very good quality material , so I told NATALE , if she knows of a dentist that used the phonares teeth because I told her about Kalin's video and NATALE even send me a link to another denture wearer , Amy ! I told NATALE I don't want implant I'm scared , so from there she did found a dentist for me and also a lab here in Las Vegas that uses the Ivoclar product , I called the dentist , had my initial appointment in February , X-rays were made and how much it will cost ..etc..came in to a comfortable figure of dollar amount , had my impressions done 3weeks ago and will back this Wednesday June 21,2017 to have a fitting ! I really glad that I was able to watched Kalin's video to find out that there's a product that looks so natural inside your mouth ! Both Kalin & Amy are inspiration to me ! I wanted to thanked NATALE ZOELLA so much that she gave me the phonares teeth to be use for my dentures ! Nice to see Kalin & Amy doing this video ! Yes sadly it does vary from case to case and dentists and labs etc and even where you live I've noticed can make a difference in cost but mine for top and bottom were under 4,000 and that included all of my visits etc I had had dentures for 5 yrs prior so I didn't have all of the extraction and surgical costs.

I'm going on Monday to get dentures. I'm scared to death. I m a student, no income Airbnb cut me off, but managed to enroll and got Medicaid. I was wondering if Medicaid covers ivoclora phenor dentures.

omg you two are just like me. I am 37 years old and I've known since age 27 I'd need dentures........Much like u Amy, It started with fillings in my front teeth and my teeth hurt ALL OF THE TIME. I am facing this right now. I have no top teeth......and haven't worn dentures because I can hide it well, but now my bottom teeth are going and just had 2 more bottom teeth just pulled and i am on my way to full dentures and i am so scared. I am so young and i just want dental implants.....I can't afford them. I hated my temps....they are clunky and huge!!!! I am so depressed and crying right now..... because I know I won't feel any better with dentures. I am going to hate not feeling my palate. I just want to give up. I am crying through this whole video and I am struggling so bad. If I had any money it'd go to teeth that feel better........ I am so miserable and don't know who to talk to cuz no one understands me........where do I find a place to help me????

What can you do if you can't do implants.(I've had one and my body rejected it). I have my horrible bulky temporary dentures that cause sore areas and the bottoms are so loose.

I just turned 30 and after two kids I'm on the fence about getting dentures. I barely have any top back teeth and my teeth are deteriorating between the gum and tooth (pockets if you will). I'm scared my face will look different. I can barely chew and my best friend is orajel.

I would do anything for a perfect smile, my dentists refuse to remove my teeth and give me dentures but they also refuse to give me probono work also or refused cost. It takes forever to get in at the recent dentist graduates school. I would rather die than go on with my teeth.

Really I wish the dentists I used would have advised me to keep my teeth. They looked bad and had a few missing up front but I used clip in veneers and had no problem eating what I wanted. Now everyday is a gd struggle to eat even soft foods and the bone will shrink away. You don't need dentures for a smile....they fucking pulled all them and feel ashamed of myself for letting them do so. I'm going to spend way more on fake teeth with implants now than I would have otherwise. Dentures is a last resort.

@Jake Barrett sad. I’m facing getting like 8-10 crowns on my molars and pre molars (I’m 35). I don’t know if it’d be better to pull them and get implants or implant supported partial dentures. Maybe you could try implant supported dentures? It’s cheaper than full implants or all on 4 I think. Some people say they get more used to dentures over time. Hope you can get some better teeth. It’s hard having bad teeth 😞

@@milliem8051 Yes...i can get implants to perserve bone and stabilize dentures and hopefully add some bite force back ...but it'll be 10,000 for 10 mini implants....im just ashamed of myslef...i had a gut feeling that i shouldn't have done it and strange why they wanted to...they didnt even wanna try to save my teeth....i was only missing 4. Idk anymore, people are fucked up and i gave the benefit of the doubt... Maybe he was making commission on me or something of that sort. I would totally do crowns if your roots are stable and strong as mine were, you have a good foundation so I would definitely keep the teeth. I'm spending way more money in the long run letting them extract them and im emotionally in fucked up. Ohh well wtf can I do now but try to come up with 10 fucking grand.
