I think this is a perfect addition, a lot of people grew up learning of just the Three Kingdoms but never learnt or asked how it actually ended, people believed and were told it was unified by Jin, but only for about 30 years before it broke out again, the reason why it is attached to the "Three Kingdoms" era is because there is still all the history there and the fact it is a literal continuation of TK with the Sima family, not to mention the descendants of those who survived the original era. I am sure in future they'll release more playable factions in TK.

Most of them actually don't really care to read about the real Three Kingdoms period ( 220-280) and usually think it is boring. The real Three Kingdoms period ( 220-280) look like the mix of the novel and Game of Thrones. Three Kingdoms at war with each other, while every of them have the huge civil conflict,too. And that period just the opening scene of the long chaotic period ( 184-618). I really hope CA will made DLC until the end of it. ^^

Of course no one is going to care AS much BECAUSE the Three Kingdoms is the most glorified and taught period of Ancient China, people are going to have a vested interest in something if it is hyped up a lot more. It's awesome that the history of War of the Eight Princes is represented in some form of media. Most media focuses on the history of the Three Kingdoms. It's great to see the history that happened after the Three Kingdom appeared in any media. Just hope that Koei releases a Dynasty Warrior games based on the War of the Eight Princes.

Best fighting will be between Sima Jiong, Sima Ying, and Sima Yong against Sima Lun. I only really feel bad for Sima Ai. Betrayed by Sima Yue, and the only one to try to fix the chaos that was going on.

Hopefully they expand the map to incorporate Korea and Japan. Korea was fractured into three kingdoms as well; Gorgoryeo, Baekje, Silla. Japan was unified and so was China. Would be insane to bring elements from Shogun 2 and merge with Three Kingdoms.

My quickest respond to a pre-order. Accidentally woke at 5:00 am, checked youtube, saw a new titled dlc, get up to check on Steam PC, realised it is coming in weeks. Placed the order at 6:00 am.

It's awesome that the history of War of the Eight Princes is represented in some form of media. Most media focuses on the history of the Three Kingdoms. It's great to see the history that happened after the Three Kingdom appeared in any media. Just hope that Koei releases a Dynasty Warrior games based on the War of the Eight Princes.
No one talks about it because China likes to pretend it didn't happen. It was an embarrassing period for them.

Best fighting will be between Sima Jiong, Sima Ying, and Sima Yong against Sima Lun. I only really feel bad for Sima Ai. Betrayed by Sima Yue, and the only one to try to fix the chaos that was going on.
I also feel kinda bad for Sima Ying, the poor fellow kept being played like a fiddle without ever knowing he was working for the bad guys. The one wearing green was also a relatively benevolent fellow from what I remember (forgot his name)

The lady in the end name is Jia Nan Feng, one of the most evil queen in Chinese history, a selfish, ruthless woman with genius political savvy(and died very quickly), she was the one who upset the balance and made princes fight each other.

This time period chinese history has been written by confucianist historians who were a bunch of misogynists. Any woman that held power during the imperial era of china has been treated by historians as a ruthless and evil leader.

The red is like always angry , the yellow is arrogant , black is scheming ( base on hand attitude ) , the purple is like patience and carefull ( due to the scene he was very far from the rest and the first one who move when the door open ) , the youth green is like annoying friend , and the green Old is always think that there are no harm coming for him.

I skip Sui dynasty just because want to summary this period in the shortest way, so everyone can imagine what were happened. This period really confuse and very difficult to read.
In the reality, the 2nd Three Kingdom period ( just the way I call this period):
- Southern Liang - > Southern Chen.
- Eastern Wei - > Northern Qi.
- Western Wei - > Northern Zhou - > Sui ( united) - > Tang ( the real united and peace).

The track is based on a poem by a son of Cao Cao when he was about to be killed by his brother, his brother demand him to create a poem with each step equal 1 sentence. He walks 7 steps and create the famous poem that Chinese uses to refer to the tragedy of brother turned against each other. That is what happened in this trailer, 8 princes, 8 sons of Sima Yi fought for domination over the land... no one wins...

This might seem odd but I am excited if we could replace some models in the original game with these characters. Like Lu Xun, Cao Ren Wei Yan and many others
Hopefully they expand the map to incorporate Korea and Japan. Korea was fractured into three kingdoms as well; Gorgoryeo, Baekje, Silla. Japan was unified and so was China. Would be insane to bring elements from Shogun 2 and merge with Three Kingdoms.
xlilvieTking As far as I've read, we don't know much about Japan during this period. I believe Cao Wei sent an expedition to the east and found an "island ruled by the witch-queen Pemiko (Himeko)" and that's basically it. I don't know about Korea though.

相信我，如果操作得当，中国玩家完全有能力让《全面战争：三国》成为CA的一个伟大转折。
當時我就覺得阿提拉那種各族在羅馬疆土上游牧流竄的局勢其實與晉書上面記載胡漢雜居的情形根本一模一樣(例如長安城外有胡人的巨大聚落，他們進不了城就在城外搭了個帳棚城)

The darkness just begins.
After Eight Princes follows directly the 5 Barbarian Invasion. In this period the "Winter" is coming just like the game of throne. The average temperature in north is too cold thus all northern barbarian tribes can not survive and begin moving to China. This Period is call 5 Barbarian Invasion.
In this "Winter" period, the agriculture production reduced heavily so no one can have enough food supplies, both for Chinese and the Barbarian tribes. As a result, the Barbarian tribes begin to eat human body and so does some Chinese in north. The Jin Dynasty chilled in south and can do nothing to stop the tragedy. At last the Barbarian build new authority government in north and begins the North-South Dynasty period.
Wish base game came with at least three or two chapters of three kingdoms

To be fair the base game was already a huge undertaking so can't really blame them for wanting to break the game up into chapters with additional content.
