The song makes sense. Three kingdoms was bad but the war of the eight princes was a literal family killing eachother. It’s fucked up. And sad to know and watch.
I think the worst part is after all of the struggles of these larger than life heroes, none of the kingdoms managed to survive. The Jin took over, and the whole point was that they’d learn the lessons of the past, but they don’t, and mess up even worse than before.

I came up with another version using verses from another variation. I meant for this variation to be easier to sing. People burn the beanstalk to boil beans, filtering them to extract juice. The beanstalks were burnt under the pot. The beans in the pot cry out. “We were grown of the same root, why should we hound each other to death?!”.

Its really sad but you have to understand that during this period in history, the political situation is quite intense and the tension was going to explode soon. When people need to survive, all options are on the table including killing your family because those relationships dont matter anymore. You rather betray others than let them betray you.
